    All of the categories are very close except for the one most important to points...playmaking. That one is not very close. Ty is the best player and by the end of this next season it won't look so close. Pacers go to playoffs, with Ty on the leaderboard for assists and steals. Ty's D will also improve, while Brunson will always be short.

      Man if only if was a fifth we’d all be buzzed, New York last time in second round of playoffs was 2012 and last year Brunson carried New York, and was a series away from eastern conference finals as Halliburton watched on TV! Halliburton is the better playmaker, Brunson the better scorer. I take Brunson to start a team. I just think he has the capability to put a team on his back and carry them. He literally had no help in the playoffs and he still perform at a very high level. Guy has been a proven winner everywhere his been. I think Hali is great but man Jalen has that “IT Factor” that Dog mentality. I don’t see that yet on Hali. But he’s young let’s see what happens.

      Haliburton definitely puts his team on his back aswell. He's their leading scorer and they almost lost every game he missed with injury. Plus, imo, being a crazy efficient 20 & 10 guy is way better than a less efficient guy who scores a little more and makes less plays for his teammates.
      Those extra assists give might aswell be Haliburton co-scoring and running the whole court with his crazy basketball IQ.
      Brunson great asf still tho

      Well like I mention in the video, Brunson has a slightly higher percentage this past season, but shot quite a bit less as far as volume (a raise in volume typically causes a decrease in percentage) for the rest of their careers Haliburton has been a higher percentage shooter. Along with that, Hali has superior range. If Brunson’s volume increases next year while keeping a 40% 3pt percentage, I would give him more credit here, but he just isn’t as good as Haliburton at shooting as of now

    • @hoophierarchy
      @hoophierarchy  Рік тому +6

      The critique of it being a superficial comparison while you say something like “he’s just more clutch” is contradictory. I provide statistical evidence in all notable guard categories, which is 100% substantive as opposed to superficial, while saying Brunson is “top tier under pressure” is opinionated. I don’t disagree, I think he’s great under pressure. But what evidence are we using to make that comparison? Can we say that Haliburton is not clutch? He’s hit a number of clutch shots in his career. Brunson has been around longer and has played on better teams so he has more big game opportunity to make that kind of play. And again I’m coming at this who believes that as far as accolades and accomplishments go, Brunson has the edge. I just think making the statement that a deep dive comparison covering EVERYTHING is somehow superficial when just narrowing down the whole comparison to something as ambiguous and hard to measure as “big game player” is pretty ironic

If Hali gets the 35 mins Brunson gets. He will have more points, or same around 24/5/12 assists.. Brunson won't even average 5 assists and probably 4 rebounds. Lol... No disrespect to the young bull but his bball IQ is not quite there yet. Also the second best player is actually Reeves, then Halliburton (atm). However, I'd expect Halliburton to be the guy with the most potential in the future in my personal opinion. Ant doesn't really understand how to get to his spots through the flow of the offense so he becomes a ball stopper.

      Disagree with the argument on empty stats and not affecting winning. The Pacers with Haliburton and without is night and day. I mean we could single handedly give an old team like Milwaukee some nice young talent and bring over Yannis.....or what about the king of Philly??

      I respect your opinion in who is better, I just disagree with nearly every statement you made😂. Most of the statements are also easily disproven with even a slight bit of research. It’s like how I mentioned at the beginning of the video, most people’s arguments are purely emotional based on this and don’t really use logic, just pick the guy they like more. So that’s fine, you can do you. It’s also disingenuous to say that anyone who disagrees with you “doesn’t watch Brunson” or “has no idea how anything works”. You think people can’t watch the same thing as you and come to a different conclusion? It would be really impressive if I was able to study, edit, and upload a deep dive analysis on Jalen Brunson’s game without ever watching him play
