If you think about it....Ken made it in two VERY hard to succeed professions. Comedy and medicine. Xtremely!!
Did not know he was a doctor too. Amazing! When he said "follow your passion" I actually felt and connected to it for once from hearing that phrase. You need to hear it from someone who had it "made" in a sense and someone who you can connect with. Empathy is legit and I'm so glad he shared his story. Crazy Rich Asians is seriously a great movie for what it stands for and just as a movie in general, the concept is amazingly fun with a hint of deviousness to it!

This man grinds no matter what industry he enters. He put his livelihood on the line to enjoy his passion when he literally had his life set up for him with such a lucrative, doctorate career ahead of him. Belief in urself and hard work will always pay off

He was great in this movie! And he successfully conquered two very tough fields, medicine and acting. A friend of mine, who like myself is an actor trying to break in, is also an MD. He told me once he felt it was easier to get accepted to, and graduate from medical school and become a doctor than be able to break through as an actor and have success.
He such a natural at being funny
He did stand-up comedy after he stopped being a doctor. It's in his DNA to be funny now

pnoipr8 the main characters go to Singapore for a wedding. It’s the entire premise of the movie that they go to Singapore for a friend’s wedding where Rachel meets Nick’s family. Going to Singapore for a wedding is one of the first lines in the trailer. If the fact that there is a wedding in the movie is a spoiler to you, you are hella stupid.

He is a doctor. He still keeps his license active just in case he needs it. It's now his secondary career to his primary, comedy.
I knew he was a doctor. This just confirms my thought that I wouldn't want him as my doctor, since he wasn't dedicated to the profession of healing. "Oh, if acting/comedy falls through, I'll just be a doctor...". He certainly wouldn't be a GOOD doctor, since he had no real desire for it. I figure that he'd go into research, a lab doctor, if he had to.
He is lying through his teeth. His whole life was NOT always following his passion. He followed biology like his dad told him to, so he could be a doc.
Dumb title for his sitcom. "Fresh off the Boat" --talk about perpetuating a stereotype. And no, I don't watch that sitcom for that very reason.
1) Ken only guest starred in that sitcom, he's not actually fully in it, he's in a different show.
2) it's based off of the autobiography of the same name written by Eddie Huang and there is a video that explains why he chose that title.
