I'm looking forward to this game. Unlike other open-world games like WuWa or genshin, this game literally lets you explore everything without "invisible walls". There's no loading screen when entering combat mode which feels more realistic. I only hope the story is gripping, no mc with amnesia or something cliche of mc. I also hope mc talks not like certain mc from another open-world game (looking at genshin)
Tower of Fantasy MCs could talk so there's at least a precedent for that. Personally I'm just happy to see how far Hotta has come and will continue to follow up on this games progress

Now this is what i call "Open world" means. The city looks alive. This looks like a combination of GTA V, supernatural hunter and maybe gacha (IDK about this game). Gonna wait for a few years for global release.
The reason the UI in all these look so similar now is because well it works for multiplatform releases vs trying to reinvent the wheel. Sure they could do two entirely different UI's but as a player you would want consistency if you were switching devices and this offers that.
Eventually, all of the games are going to look exactly alike because of things like this. Multiplatform isn't an excuse for lack of innovation in UI design. Azur Promilia can do it. Arknights Endfield (kinda) can do it... this game can to.
@@IAMCha0tik Personally I think the "outer" UI is fine even if it's not innovative, but what I really care about is innovating the UI for the menus. For example, both ToF and wuthering waves have the same "outer" UI as this (genshin style), but tof's menu structure was vastly different from genshin (still wasn't good tho) whereas 90% of wuwa's menu structure and design are the same or slightly different from genshin
This I can agree with , complaint about similar UI from non-dev's can be shafted and thrown into trash. It's a PIA to make a new UI for every market u are trying to reach and hope they work fine (unless u are incentivised by platform to do that) Just cause something CAN be done doesn't mean it SHOULD be done. Try troubleshooting/testing a game that multiple versions of UI and hope u don't get a bunch of bugs that don't waste Dev's time when there is bigger issue with game pipelines.

i think this is a ghost-type theme urban arpg with espers or psychics as main characters vs the monsters or yokai's in japanese urban yokai stories in the present.
This is super ambitious and really cool to see. Hopefully it isn't anything that goes through a massive re-scoping process due to funding and/or lame executive change calls. Whats really cool and what should be kept in mind is the level of accesability you have to the map and buildings and even with objects and vehicles. A lot of work and again ambitious. Hoping for the best.

Things that i very love about this game is the world setup.. amazing modern world design. I'm tired looking fantasy world too much from other games. This game and ZZZ games becomes my fav. The most importantly in this game "You can drive car".

Yup I’ve seen it, it looks crazy good so far. Wish there was more climbing on walls and gliders, etc.. More UI as well and more characters. I wonder if the white haired girl is the main character? Hopefully she looks better in the future, but her eyes are so pretty. Oh yeah, frrr, I really hope someone comes out with more innovative UI too. The combat was slightly creepy and I loved that tbh, the music was nice and gloomy. Idk how they did the special effects for the combat animations but they look extremely interesting. Like the blue fire. Project Mugen showed the potential but they went silent for a year now. Now NTE is showing us an unexplored teritory in gacha gaming, this game feels so familiar yet so different, sci-fi thriller, anime GTA? I hope Hotta does this right this time. Seriously agree about the UI and honestly just the open world gacha in general. It can’t just be re skins of Genshin with different combats. We need new ways of story telling (like zzz comics) instead of stagnant convos. New ways of traveling, like lots of mounts or vehicles. WuWa was exciting for something new but it really is just hard Genshin. This games combat looks like a mix of ZZZ colors and flash mixed with Aether Gazer fighting. The impact frames go hard I hope more games use that for these ultra

That game isn't gonna run on my PC I can assure you that. RIP Wuthering Waves can barely hit 50 fps on my PC at best, so imagine the amount of lag I will have on this game.
Well, we've got Control at home and I'm fine with it. Art style is a bit generic but using a city as open world is pretty good if you're into the urban setup. Combat is fine but nothing mindblowing. Does not matter tho. The only problem these games should solve asap is to fill the 5-6 week gap with proper content. The end game should be big and randomized enough for you to be able to play it for 2-3 hours every day (if you want to). Events with minigames should be the extra stuff, not the only thing u can do aside from some random tower system that resets weekly and the daily chores. The first gacha which gonna improve on the real end game side of things is gonna win me over, the rest matters little. Zzz has potential with the TV's and WuWa is still way too young to judge as well. Azure Promilia looks like the goat with all the different systems theyve shown. Add this one to the list as well. The city OW stuff has potential to provide enough content. Everything else right now is just a casual magnet made to make you login for 10 minutes a day.

Second, they all stick around the hoyo formula because of the business success of it. Do you think it will not be the same gacha system, the same progression, the same type of end game content in little amount, with probably a gameplay not exploited to the fullest ? I don't see a thing here to "solve" the problem of the hoyo formula and even less the problem of gacha games. A big giant world with a cars to travel it ? cool but for what purpose ? If its just a speed boost translated into the shape of a car ... its the same that in mmorpgs, fcking not interesting, just do teleporting points. And even with that ... an other empty world with no things happen, with no characters that we pull living their own life (characters in gacha seems often from an other world, never present in and do nothing apart of come out from your "pokeball". Project Mugen is the same (for now), but Zenless seems to do something about it (many ppl in the street, pulled characters with events, teleporting points), plus a way better storytelling than usually, its almost a solo game on this point. For me now its the better universe to see in all hoyo games, even if there are less to do like in genshin or hsr with puzzle, at least the immersion is here. People are very critical in hoyo games (and its normal), but there is not really other things that are better. So they come back or do honey moon on honey moon with other gacha each months. Is it really optimism and hope for better or just addiction to the hype, new things just for consuming (catched by advertisement is real I guess). Im not defending the dedication for one and only game but ... guys the 2-3 last years was crazy. The amount of gacha that are released and announced and the amount of ppl (CCs and players) that fuel the hype and hop from hype/game to hype/game. From the companies perspective, I guess is simple. The market is huge and only hoyo put his hand of the majority of it. Other gachas like Nikke, Uma musume, anime's IP are really niche, that doesnt count because im speaking of the non weeb consumers that genshin and hoyo games have "catched". This market make companies drool as f**uck, so they try to catch a part of it. But aside of Wuwa (fro now at least) no one make the difference.

If they are overlooking extremely simple issues just cuz they want a different aspect to look good, they have no business being in the game development business. Game designers should be intentionally ignoring actual issues, that's lazy. That said, I don't see any real issue with the running.

Other gachas like Nikke, Uma musume, anime's IP are really niche, that doesnt count because im speaking of the non weeb consumers that genshin and hoyo games have "catched". This market make companies drool as f**uck, so they try to catch a part of it.
But aside of Wuwa (fro now at least) no one make the difference.

If they are overlooking extremely simple issues just cuz they want a different aspect to look good, they have no business being in the game development business. Game designers should be intentionally ignoring actual issues, that's lazy. That said, I don't see any real issue with the running.
