I have been using the riceberry face moisturizer + sunscreen by litlleeextra for over three months now, and I could not be happier with it. It’s ideal for every skin type, including my sensitive skin. The hyaluronic acid and black rice water keeps my skin moisturized without feeling oily or dry. I’ve had zero issues at all, it’s been consistently reliable and soft. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking steady moisture and SPF that also nurtures their skin.
I swear by that Kiels cream. Here’s a tip for fine lines around the mouth: slather it on pretty thick around the mouth. Wait a few minutes. Then top with Aquaphor healing ointment. Then go to bed and wake up with fewer wrinkles around the mouth and moisturized skin! Also a great price point and you get soooo much product!
Dr. Idriss has such a pleasing voice. I've started playing her videos as background noise while I'm doing college assignments to act as educational entertainment and encouragement. Love the recommendations!
I agree 100% about the new PillowTalk Derm moisturizer!! I never used moisturizer in the morning because I tend to the oily side but her new moisturizer is so hydrating and light. I now use it in the morning under makeup (and sunscreen) and my makeup sits amazingly AND I don't turn into an oil slick in the middle of the day. 100% recommend.
Finally got my pillowtalk derm in the mail, shukran for creating this Shereene. Would love a deep dive on the aveeno collodial line for combination skin and also use cases of combining tretinoin and actives with the pillwotalk derm line. Much love from NYC!
I'm so happy you brought up the great benefits of urea. I was a dermatology pharma rep years ago with Lac-Hydrin Cream being one of my products and my doctors loved it solely because of that ingredient. They would always tell me that because they wash their hands so often, it saved their hands from drying out and cracking. It stings like crazy if your skin barrier is in bad shape, but that just means you need it all the more. New-ish sub here and I'm so glad I found your channel!
I loved the LRP Cicaplast in winter, last winter I destroyed my skin barrier and irritated it too much with the exfoliating acids, and this was what healed my skin. I also loved the Purito Cica cream, Aveeno oat cleanser and SKIN1004 cica cream.
Now that you’ve experienced what Denver’s air is like, and it will get drier the farther we get into winter, we’d love whatever specific wisdom you can give those of us who live in high desert environments. My skin was parched in Santa Monica but I had no idea what dry was until I moved to Denver. Thank you and love your content!
I get the WORST of my winter skin around my mouth! I’ve noticed you mentioning around your mouth being a delicate area for retinoids and would love a video on why it’s so delicate and the best treatment for non perioral dermatitis issues for the same area. My derm said it could be eczema but didn’t quite explain why. You’re the best ❤
So proud of myself that I independently bought some of these 😂 honestly, I love the aveeno one it’s really affordable and absorbs so fast but definitely moisturizes
The Great Barrier Relief from Krave Beauty is just *chef's kiss*. It definitely helps repair your moisture barrier. My skin is very reactive and this product does not cause any irritation or breakouts. I've been using it consistently for almost 3 years.
Thank you for an informative basic moisturizer series. It really helps to know and build in as a staple winter skin care. I am excited to hear about the aveeno balm!
You got me onto the Cicaplast B5 and other than my BHA cleanser I don't think I've ever loved a product as much as I do that one. I usually use it in the winter, but occasionally in the summer I sweat so much the salt literally starts to burn my skin (yes, I am sensitive) and it's the only thing that soothes it.
I think you will love the Aveeno balm. It goes on just like the redness relief cream they have (not the gel) but then stays on your face for much longer and doesn’t dry. Aside from carave healing ointment, nothing else stays on my face the whole night as I basically sleep face down on my pillow. It feels very rich like the ointment but not as greasy or shiny.
I wonder if this balm has the same texture like the aveeno eczema therapy/ baby eczema therapy cream because the ingredients are similar to these creams that I mentioned. Plus the price of this balm is higher than the creams with less quantity.
@@cl0wn3ry I had the same thought. Yes, texture is super similar going on but somehow this one feels less greasy on the face if I recall the texture of the therapy balm correctly. If there was a way to describe this... I'd say it gives you that waxy protective layer that doesn't move much once it's set, doesn't slide as much and looks satin. Somehow also feels breathable? Both the calm and restore cream and the balm, to me, go on similar. You feel the texture difference once they settle on the face and "dry down".
Jordan’s Moisture Recovery Cream is my favorite. It is a skin saver. I use it year round and would not be without it. And you are right….he is a wonderful human being.
I love the length of this video because you get right to the point. and I can get on with all that I have to do. Thanks, you are the BEST Dermatologist. Wish I lived in New York.
A great moisturizer for barrier repair and sensitive skin is the avène tolerance soothing skin recovery cream. Its formulated for reactive skin and comes in an airless pump so its preservative free. My sister and I both love it.we have rosacea, she has oily acne prone skin and I have seborrheic dermatitis. I also LOVE the la roche-posay baume b5 . I actually tried fast basting and I really liked it. I wake up with plump hydrated skin and much less pufiness around the eyes. It also reduces my black undereyes. Its very soothing and isnt really thick and greasy it just needs to sink in a little bit and I just rub it in for a minute after i put on my moisturizer in the evening.
@@JenniferRamirez-hz3kb it's a balm so it contains occlusive ingredients so slugging and putting it all over your face can be irritating and potentially worsen your acne but you can definitely use it as a spot treatment (around the eyes, on the cheeks, maybe around your mouth and nose where you can be dry or irritated even though you're oily). My sister uses it for specific areas on her face.
I think I found my favorite skin barrier cream. Cosmedix emulsion. It’s a beautiful texture . Thick at first and once u start rubbing it in it gets light but it still feels like a barrier cream where it leaves a layer of protection. My skin is dry dehydrated and I’m loving this so far. I’ve tried so many that say they are “rich” and “nourishing” … nope. This one actually is both of those and more. Yes it’s pricey but I got it 20% off online.
My aesthetician just recommended Cosmedix Emulsion as I've just started using Tretinoin at 1% again and I've been flaking a lot so I can't then use the tret regularly.
Hi from Geneva in Switzerland, Dr Idriss! Love your videos so much since 2 years. Many thanks for all your help and CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW SKINCARE BRAND ! I hope my English is not too bad, I'm French speaking and love how you speak French 👍
I prefer the longer format, yes ma’am! Also; can we do a video for moisturizers for oily skin? I dont only have oily skin buf live in a VERY humid place. If there is already a video about it and Ive missed it, please just guide me to it 😊
Psoriasis on the face and skin... How do we tackle this? I absolutely love your approach to teaching us to be better and understand our bodies. You are my Oracle, Dr Shereene. I'd love to see a video on that or how you tackle rosacea and psoriasis at the same time...
@@Ablueeee definitely see derm, keep in mind injections have risk of liver damage but for severe psoriasis may be recommended. My son was prescribed protopic for face but that may have risks too as not enough research yet. What helps him on the face is over the counter coal tar ointment we found at a pharmacy and coal tar Neutrogena shampoo
Personally, I love the long deep dive informative videos. Looking forward to trying your products one day, it’s quite expensive once you covert it to Canadian dollars but I’m definitely saving up for it! 💜💜
As someone over 50 with dry, sensitive, rosacea skin (that can sometimes breakout from products but otherwise no acne) AND has a nut allergy (including shea and avoids apricot kernel oil) can I just say how difficult it is to find safe products. I’m going to try the Aveeno since my tried and true moisturel has been discontinued
Good Morning Dr. Idriss. Thank you so much for all your great content. I ordered the Waleda from your list a couple weeks ago and Omgoodness, I love it. I’ve been peeling really bad from Tret. Wow, it is thick and kind of sticky, but after a couple uses, my dry skin is mostly gone. It is super glowy and feels amazing. I also baste my lips with it as you demonstrated. Nikki La Rose also uses as a highlighter. Great skin food for our skin.
I am excited to try a few of these. I live in west Texas and it is dry AF 365 days a year, but also hot (Today was 85 degrees) I'm always looking for a good moisturizer that will actually hydrate but won't leave my skin greasy after being hot. I don't even have oily skin. it's almost like all products sit on the surface and never get absorbed.
I definitely like the longer and more detailed videos than the brief ones. I think most of us do. As far as the product recommendations go - I'd love more details about getting a body lotion with zinc in it. I like the cicaplast but the tube is so ridiculously small so I was wondering if there are any other brands I can look into? I also have a hard time searching for zinc lotion because sunscreen just comes up.
I will be trying out the Kiehl’s cream! We recently got this brand in our country (Slovenia) and I’ve heard so much about it that I’ve always wanted to at least try it out. We’ll see how my dry and sensitive skin will like it. I also like that this cream comes in a 125ml jar, so you are not bothered with buying the cream every single month. 🙂
Looking for a video on the benefits of using a moisturizer with linoleic acid, especially for acne-prone skin! I heard another doctor mention people with oily skin may be lacking linoleic acid? I can't find many videos on it. I just noticed your moisturizer had it, so I'm excited to try it out, but also looking for recommendations to use with tret!
I love all of your videos whether they're long, short, or middle of the road. Just keep making content, PLEASE! I wanted to let you know that I've been using your products since they were released and I couldn't be more pleased with the effects of all three! I have rosacea and eczema, and there have been no issues. I just have soft, luminous skin! Thank you so much! ❤️
Just want to say- love your videos, love your generousity of expertise/educating, love your honesty. As a product developer (food) I love ingredient decks / ingredients. Ive learned so much from you. Thanks sister. 🥰
Zinc is highly drying. It’s used for diaper rash BECAUSE of that. It dries out the area because moist butt = rash. The anti inflammatory properties don’t outweigh the drying effects.
LRP makes great products love their melt-in body sunscreen…the cicaplast I have never tried wonder how it compares to Avène cicalfate which I have. Some reviews say they’re the same but cicaplast pills compared to cicalfate. The kiehls is ok?…you’re making me want to love it again, it’s ok in the best way as I do always keep a jar around for when I want to keep it simple.
Dear Dr. Shereene, thank you very much for the great video! Love your energy and especially your honesty! I would really appreciate a video about the eye creams and whether we should apply them on the upper eyelids as well (as they might become too sensitive) Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge🤗😊
Really enjoy the Diex moisturizer. It's nice and thick but not too much for my combo skin on my tret days. Love love love your gel moisturizer! I look forward to using it because of how quenching it feels. Never felt a moisturizer like it before. Thank you for everything that you do!
I just ordered Instant Angel and love how it looks and feels on my skin! I kept thinking why haven’t I heard anyone talking about this?! Cue this video a week later 😂 your content is always so informative and recs are spot on for me!
I use Cicaplast to help my skin when it starts to sting from the tretinoin... If I stay 3 days on Cicaplast, I can go back to prescription no problems. :)
Shereeeene, you haven't tried Malezia moisturizer, it has 5% urea!!! It is amazing, I have chronic perioral dermatitis and seborrehic eczema, and it is my one and only
I love watching you you're very educational and I know of course you should be because you're a doctor but it's so easy down-to-earth to listen to you always keeping it honest no matter what and I like that most people tell you what you want to hear I will keep on watching you following you I do what you say and I see results thank you keep going
I really don't mind your slightly longer videos. I feel more educated. You did do a very good job with this video but it felt a little bit rushed. I love you, Shereene! For this winter I finally got the Cicaplast balm b5, 2 in fact. I look forward to basting my face with it at night.
The Purito and Jordan Samuel ones is going straight in my cart. Also love the sound of the Aveena Calm + Restore Skin Therapy Balm but doesn't look like this have reached UK yet, but one would expect it would come here soon, and then I"ll be the first to grab it :)
Thanks for this list. I'm looking to try the Balm from Aveeno very soon. I didn't know about Weleda's cream being bad for most of us redheads who have a ton of red in their skin to begin with. I've been using this cream on my face at night and I've seen some redness but I put it down to my tretinoin. Now you have me thinking it might be the Weleda. BTW, your sound was different today. Lower and muffled.
Finally got my pillowtalk derm in the mail, shukran for creating this Shereene. Would love a deep dive on the aveeno collodial line for combination skin and also use cases of combining tretinoin and actives with the pillwotalk derm line. Much love from NYC!
Dr Sheree I'm grateful to you because you saved my skin when you spoke out about the use of hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate on how BAD they truly are, but I beg you to stop advising people to use ANYTHING with dimethicone in it. I noticed hair loss from products with this and it's even in moisturizers you yourself recommend, I tried them on myself, my teenagers and my toddler and they were horribly drying. So I went to look at the ingredient list and one of the first things I saw was that I might have to come on the Aveeno that you recommended and also the Cicaplast by la Roche posay. I would recommend that you really dive into that product and talk about that like you spoke about hyaluronic acid. There is plenty of tick tock videos out there now about dimethicone and how bad it is for you.
I like both short and long videos, always great information. If a linger video has more info than I need I can always skip no biggie, but I usually don't.
I’m interested in different oil types as a final layer for winter nighttime skincare on different skin types. Id also be interested in occlusive creams as a heavier layer around your eyes for winter nighttime skincare because I feel like most eye creams don’t cut it in the winter.
A product without AHA….AMEN!!!! I’m all for that. I want to try the new Aveeno Balm. I live I. Louisiana and we still have humidity in the winter but when it gets cold inside is dry and my lips will crack. It’s weird I get combo in the winter time and dry in the summer. Still like to change my moisturizer in the winter.
Dr. Idris, what do you think of the classic Nivea cream for the winter? I started to use it since I moved back to Boston from Asia. And especially on my neck after retinol as suggested by you last week ☺️
Just discovered u and I literally sat and watched all the required videos which I wanted… every one of them answered every question and worry of mine… I could so easily relate my skin condition to ur explanation….thank u so much and loads of love to u and ur work… Just a small request… I am from south India and many products are not easily available.. so big big request to kindly cover the Asian products as well if possible like how u did for the sunscreen video…
So helpful! I would love to know what a week’s worth of routine would be for you, when you swap actives in and out at night. Thanks so much for all you share!
What is your recommendation with pedicure and manicure? Is it better to take our own tools ? And on the angle of the toe sometimes it separates and they nail salon say need to cut it and to prevent humidity there , what is the best way to manage that ? cut that portion of the mail to prevent moisture
Great video! Would really love it if it was mentioned which moisturisers are good for dry/oily etc. skin and whether they are non-comedogenic or good for sensitive skin.
I was able to hear you just fine. I'm looking for a daytime moisturizer that doesn't pill under makeup! I don't know if it's my skin or what it going on ?? Thanks for the videos
Hi Dr.Idriss! Thank you for your informative videos!! Can you make a morning/night time skincare routine for people with rosacea! (including a Vitamin C serum that can be safely used with all other products)
Is the cicaplast good for Eczema? My son was just diagnosed with this last week and the doctor told us to look for good thick creams and to save the prescription for flare-ups.
hello! can you please do a whole skincare routine using your products AND other ones such as retinols and other serums so I know how I should go about pairing things?

I have rosacea and eczema, and there have been no issues. I just have soft, luminous skin! Thank you so much! ❤️
I love your videos no matter the length. I have learned so much!

Just want to say- love your videos, love your generousity of expertise/educating, love your honesty. As a product developer (food) I love ingredient decks / ingredients. Ive learned so much from you. Thanks sister. 🥰
Aquaphor is also a great occlusive! It has saved my skin on very dry climates

PLEASE do a video for favorite face masks for each skin type, and if they're worth it! 🙏🏻
I just ordered Instant Angel and love how it looks and feels on my skin! I kept thinking why haven’t I heard anyone talking about this?! Cue this video a week later 😂 your content is always so informative and recs are spot on for me!
I love all your videos as I watch with my headband on with Loreal 10% and Weleda on my lips!

I came here for the moisturisers and i stayed for Dr Idriss! Obsessed with your recommendations always! 😍🙌🏻
I use LRP B5 balm in the winter from wind burn. Fantastic product!
I do like your longer ones too. The detail is so interesting 👌
Would love a video on nails and cuticles, especially as colder weather approaches.
I really don't mind your slightly longer videos. I feel more educated. You did do a very good job with this video but it felt a little bit rushed. I love you, Shereene! For this winter I finally got the Cicaplast balm b5, 2 in fact. I look forward to basting my face with it at night.

Cicaplast Baume is the holy grail of skincare products, barrier relief, dry skin, eczema prone! Will test out the Aveeno one as well:)
Pls do a AM and PM skincare routine for combination skin❤
love Kiels cream for the winter. I would love to try the Laroche Posay Cicaplast balm. Thanks for all your recommendations for winter.
The Purito and Jordan Samuel ones is going straight in my cart. Also love the sound of the Aveena Calm + Restore Skin Therapy Balm but doesn't look like this have reached UK yet, but one would expect it would come here soon, and then I"ll be the first to grab it :)
Love watching your videos! Please do a skincare product recommendations video for accutane users! ❤
Hi Sheerene! We love your longer videos too🙏🏼❤️
I’ve been learning so much through watching your videos Dr. Idriss!!❤
Finally got my pillowtalk derm in the mail, shukran for creating this Shereene. Would love a deep dive on the aveeno collodial line for combination skin and also use cases of combining tretinoin and actives with the pillwotalk derm line. Much love from NYC!
I love the long format, love to bring my pen and paper for a good lecture:)

Love your videos. Short. Long. Just keep the information coming. Thank you ❤

I like both short and long videos, always great information. If a linger video has more info than I need I can always skip no biggie, but I usually don't.
First video that I've seen and it was great! I like the timing for sure. (I never watch any video over 18 min).
I would really love a video in lighter moisturizers ✨✨✨ especially now going into spring
I’m interested in different oil types as a final layer for winter nighttime skincare on different skin types. Id also be interested in occlusive creams as a heavier layer around your eyes for winter nighttime skincare because I feel like most eye creams don’t cut it in the winter.
Hi Doc, can you do a video on radio frequency and ultrasound treatments for skin tightening?
A product without AHA….AMEN!!!! I’m all for that. I want to try the new Aveeno Balm. I live I. Louisiana and we still have humidity in the winter but when it gets cold inside is dry and my lips will crack. It’s weird I get combo in the winter time and dry in the summer. Still like to change my moisturizer in the winter.
I use Aveeno products, v. good. I have very sensitive skin. It's hot, humid & stormy here in
my area of Australia, can't imagine your Winters.

Longer videos please 😁
I would like to learn more about lasers and peels to deal with hyperpigmentation, and Cyspera.
Dr. Idris, what do you think of the classic Nivea cream for the winter? I started to use it since I moved back to Boston from Asia. And especially on my neck after retinol as suggested by you last week ☺️
i put the aveeno calm and restore balm on eczema at the back of my knees and it actually helped i was shook
Just discovered u and I literally sat and watched all the required videos which I wanted… every one of them answered every question and worry of mine… I could so easily relate my skin condition to ur explanation….thank u so much and loads of love to u and ur work…
Just a small request… I am from south India and many products are not easily available.. so big big request to kindly cover the Asian products as well if possible like how u did for the sunscreen video…

The Circablast was reformulated! Was hoping for your thoughts on that. Thank you!

Thanks again for the golden tips and tricks you are truly wonderful!!!!
Is the cicaplast good for Eczema? My son was just diagnosed with this last week and the doctor told us to look for good thick creams and to save the prescription for flare-ups.
Is the Calm + Restore Balm similar to the Aveeno Baby Eczema Balm? In Canada the Calm + Restore Balm isn't sold here :(
I'm loving this info. And can I say something I always love her molecule earrings.

hello! can you please do a whole skincare routine using your products AND other ones such as retinols and other serums so I know how I should go about pairing things?
