LoL "can F any Comets up", /sigh why is the Comet even a thing?!?... the Hookbill and Firetail are superior in every way I can see. .. but yeah. =_=_=_=_=I have actually complained on the forums about the MWD bonus on AF and HAC, since I feel like especially sniping ships such as the Eagle and Muninn should not have a bonus that directly disrupts their sniping accuracy (going fast = not so good for sniping generally, unless in a straight line and that is often a death sentence). -*I've recently made a pretty decent (if untried in PvP) Fleet Issue Vigil setup using rockets, 1 small laser, dual web @ 15km, mwd, point, bcu, dcu, small ar. Goes 3500ms, over 500m/s impulse, with 200 dps and 3 drones, 15km rocket range with javelin out to 22km+ It's great as long as you dont slip and get tackled, but even if you do, you can break out fairly easily and have a tiny sig radius (34 sig at 500 m/s orbiting).
As a frequent comet pilot, it's an amazing kite platform that can snipe from the edge of point range and sanic away from danger at 5.5km/s. I take every fight with non-drone destroyers and have only lost to one. It makes other drugs look like theyre standing still and have more endurance than a slicer.
***** Yeah but, while I understand it's the only option for people who want to fly a Gallente ship (or only can fly them), how is it better at what you said than a Hookbill or Firetail? I honestly don't know, not trying to be a smartie.
+chaosegg they each have their own place, but it's speed let me abandon a fight against a firetail when it went sour and I havet had a chance to fight a hookbill in it.
