    My skyeliner HD frame arrived and it was packaged up extremely nicely. I'm new to FPV but I know when something is thrown together carelessly. This however was built with incredible attention to detail and the soldering job is picture perfect beads with no runs or sharp edges. Just perfect soldering on both side of the flight controller. The wires were laid uniformly and neatly tight against one another from the perfect soldering points at the flight controller all the way throughout the entire build out to each motor. I made a living for 6 years working at a steel manufacturing facility were I ran water jet and burn tables for government contracted work. Basically I know a good weld when I see one. Same goes for soldering. Except soldering joints are extremely tiny. SO, WHOEVER IS BUILDING FPV DRONES AT ROTOR RIOT WITH THE INITIALS B.P. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.... THIS PERSON NEEDS A RAISE GUYS SERIOUSLY. I can't say enough how happy I am with the build. Instead of the paper with the controller configuration now there is a tag around the one front arm stapled nicely and convenient. There is a QR code that you look at (through the smart phone camera for those learning computer terms still) that brings you to a webpage on rotor riots site that has a ton of in depth information. Not sure if this video is linked in that page someplace but if not it definitely should be. I found this video searching manually. Hats of to rotor riot for keeping a good amount of items in stock unlike some competitors. All in all, I am extremely excited to fly this Skyeliner and Shawn from let's fly RC says it's a tank. Cricket FPV says he never broke a skyeliner HD frame. If you watch Cricket fly ever that will very much surprise you. The look of the build is just awesome. It's like having a new sports car and you keep wanting to look at it. Just addicted to even looking at the damn thing. I added the grey color silicone arm protectors to the drone the moment it arrived. Very easy just remove the 4 motor screws from the motors and skid plates on bottom of each arm. Slide the 4 holes where they line up on the silicone arm protectors and tighten everything back up into place. Making sure the skulls on each skid plate are facing the right direction also. I could go on and on even more but this has already been WAY to long of comment. Wish me luck, be safe everyone and Thanks again everyone at rotor riot but especially the person who build my skyeliner with initials B.P Awesome build job!!!!!

    I've been flying drones for several years, I have 8 2-5" racing/freestyle self built and 2 DJI video drones.
    The rotor riot hd1 dji build is a rock solid super smooth well tuned RTF. Personally I went the crossfire route with my own controller because that's what I have setup and I trust the range.
    Use simulators first though.

    Can you comment on the exact battery needs for the goggles and your drone builds (I'm most interested in the cinewhoop)? Your website is missing those details. I understand 4S, but there appears to be different connector types as well. Because I live in Mexico there can be long shipment times and returns (if I order the wrong items) are pretty much non-existent. Maybe you guys can do a quick n00b video on batteries??

    Another tip for newbies is not to go to an unknown place to fly alone . You don't want to be a sitting duck with blinders on and some strange person or animal sneak up on you . It's always good practice when flying alone to also fly the drone around you once in awhile to get a good look at what's near you when you have the goggles on . Don't get caught up in flying so much that you lose situational awareness .

      yea I also think this dji sponsor thing is a bit over used. I think partly why so many pilots left RR was because they felt a bit left out and felt it was too much about buisness and at the same time no giving back to them as a pilot..maybe the buisness model does not let that happen very easily .but I also really don't know shit about it. And I do not think drew's job is easy.. he is trying to do something for the hobby. and I also hate that steele guy (fuck you steele.) I did not like him at first. he is also after making his buck. and about buisness. but he is also one of the best pilots, and to be honest, I really think if he would bring a flying crew to life, he would make it better than RR. but that may never happen . I think his ethics are better (lol) I also like his stuff, I bought the earplug for example. back then when I bought them I thought he was an arrogant fuck. but the plug is functional, specific, and relatively cheap. it is a nice product. and everybody knows that ear plugs have these plastic-woven internal cables. so no DIY. I would never buy steele motors though.. lol

    Is there a video for beginners using beta flight for the first time, as far as binding, to setting up the drone?

    I got the BetaFlight FPV Starter Kit 2. What would be the next step up? Been practicing on the sim and with the small whoop.

      TV-G Did you purchase from Rotor Riot? Because if that’s the case this will definitely affect whether or not I purchase from them.

      I’ve got my cart filled up right now and was going to place the order this weekend, but considering how they are constantly out of stock of things it was making me nervous. Now seeing this, I’m even more so.

    • @BeaveBallin7
      @BeaveBallin7 4 роки тому

      Yeah I purchased the shendrone squirt cinewhoop 4** weeks ago (March 5). They said on March 10 that they hope to ship it out by the end of the month since the DJI items were listed as pre-order. It looks like they've been back in stock but I haven't heard back from Rotor Riot about any timetable for shipment. Just waiting in the dark right now

      TV-G That sucks man. I’m just getting into the hobby and enjoy this channel and the guys’ individual channels, but that is disappointing to hear. I really want to support them and small US companies, but if they can’t get things shipped in a timely manner, I may have to take my business elsewhere.

      Things have been more delayed than usual due to the covid crisis slowing down the supply chain. Your drone WILL ship. I am sorry it has taken so many weeks. If you email support@rotorriot.com they can provide you more information

    How about... "NEVER do a hover test inside!" Newbies will crash it into themselves (and cut themselves up), or crash into something expensive, and they will destroy their new drone.

    • @KrotowX

      Newbies... even guys with years of experience sometimes manage to do that :) Managed to left a scratch in a room ceiling by myself with 5" freestyle quad once.

I really don't need to do that Betaflight config bs anymore right? I don't have much time to go into pc after unboxing an fpv drone and i'm planning to order my fpv tru your store..Pls reply to my comments
