@@AGILISFPV well, I love flying with my buddies but some of them really don't care at all. Last time we met up at one of my spots. Been flying there for three years never had any trouble but of course everyone else kept flying near and over houses that are far away enough to not annoy the people there if you just fly the spot. Anyway, cops were called and we had to leave. I'm always trying to be respectful with my quad but some of my friends keep orbiting people, fly over traffic, close to residential houses etc. etc. ;)
hateetermalmaver - Actually this is a very, very good tip. I've had this happen twice. One time our group had permission to take over the Oviedo Mall here in Florida and do indoor drone racing with whoops. The new guy wanted to come with us when we had a meeting with the staff which was just fine. But I noticed he brought a GPS drone with him. I said, dood, we aren't flying today. We have to wait until the day. And dood, that drone isn't meant to fly indoors - you'd take off and then it would attempt to keep it's position and you will lose control. He said, ok. So then we split up and we hear a commotion in the food court! LoL! He launched his goofy anafi and what a surprise, it tried flying to it's last known position or something and it tried to escae through the rafters haha. Security had to bring in the big bucket lifter thingy, and needless to say our race day that we had planned for two months had to become an RC truck race. Bah! I won't bother with the other story, but that's a very good tip. If you have a favorite flying spot, don't bring someone that will ruin it for you in the future.
JSKCKNIT Did it last week after a crash... was so happy that nothing was damaged that I turned it off after retrieving it in the woods then forgot to turn it on when I flew again! With my ability you didn’t miss much! 😂😂
What about forgetting to empty your SD card before an epic long range flight on a dolomite peak and when you land, 8 min later, realizing you have 1:30 min footage of cruise on the wood that stops right in the moment when the good part was about to come?!
@@sunsetpark_fpv That's very similar to what I use. I have about 50 feet of utility rope that I got from the camping section at Walmart, and I tie a padlock to the end of it for weight. Hasn't failed me yet.

The first mistake is easy to correct: either create a checklist (can be a piece of paper), or have a dedicated box/backpack/... with all your stuff already in there. Or better: both. As for #6, crashing, I'd like to add: don't crash in a place where you can't retrieve your drone either. Common sense, I know. ;)
Rpm filter has made the "bad prop" issue basically inexistent for me. I litterally flew back a couple of time, after turtle, feeling the kwad was flying complitely fine. Than i took my goggles off and I found one prop was almost 90 degrees bent. Another time one prop was missing. Still I cannot belive motor did not burn lol
I got a mistake for you, one every youtuber makes at some point: Puts camera on autofocus (which SUCKS ass) instead of just using manual mode since you aren't moving to/away from the camera that much anyway.
I'm a new pilot and I fly at my office all the time (30 acres of play land), so forgetting something is only a hike back into the building. But, when I forget my goggle antennas for the 10th time it is really frustrating to make that walk back into the building. I know, forgetting for 10 times isn't that terrible. But I've only been out flying 10 times. Every. Single. Time.
As always a well-thought-of video from the flowmaster himself :-) ... I got one for the list... My first field flight with my new LOS drone, walked half an hour to get there with my one and only drone... It got too windy, drone flew too far away, and i had not yet learned about the kill switch and why you should kill engines when crash landing in high grass... that drone burned an engine after 1 minute in the air... Dooh... But I received an invaluable life lesson right there, maybe even several lessons... at the time it didn't seem worth it though :-)
I don't always put on my props wrong, but when I do, I make sure I'm with people I'm trying to impress. Get one of those tiny prop tools and put it on your keychain as a backup. I often forget my CRSF module q.q

Don't forget your goggle battery! I bought enough prop tools that I have them all over and 2 or 3 in my bag. Won't make that mistake again. I still do big power loops, not just because I suck but I love hang time.
Dont't forget to check your batteries when coming home! I left the lipo plugged to my goggle and it was totally dead a few days later ... also when a pack was flown down to 3% it should not be stored like that. To fly a pack totally down is the next mistake that happens eventually.

Or maybe...just maybe... you fly just to fly and couldn’t give 2 cents about footage. Not everyone in the hobby is a content creator. Which in this hobby, and many other hobbies, are a dime a dozen. The people I fly with are all about perfect lines and settings on the gopro ect... seems I’m the only one anymore that has fun when we meet up.
@@apsfpv2217 Right! I power loop my ass off, do flips, rolls, and pop-ups whenever the opportunity presents itself. I fly for the fun of it, and the escape from daily life. If I get good footage in the process, so be it, but that's not the primary reason I fly. Everyone has their own way of flying. Just because a certain someone thinks it's not cool or it's boring, or he's gotten to big for those things, it doesn't mean the next person shares the same mentality. Some people like myself still enjoy the hobby for what it is, A fun ass flight involving a bunch of random shit combined with a bunch of random shit.

Can a custom drone teturn to home and hover as well as the Mavic mini and even it's cheaper alternatives can? You guys all seem to fly freestyle and race but I also want stills and hovering shots.
It would be nice if you guys would put together an etiquette video. Some examples are NOT trying to be cool with friends and land at your feet while blasting 1w as well as plugging in your quad right next to someone else that is flying. Not plugging in without checking with folks that have already been flying to see what the best frequencies and power levels to be on. Track vs Fstyling at a park. 25mw on IMD6 for track possibly/4 taking turns at a park with higher (agreed upon) VTX power. If you're at a park that is frequented by dog walkers to make sure that folks not flying take on the role of Visual Observer so that pilots are aware of obstacles or if someone is on the field to retrieve a lost quad they call out that out loud enough for people to hear. I try to make sure when I fly with a crew that we have some kind of system in place. It's never a free for all. If no one is leading, i'll assume that role, but it would be nice if others knew a few things about organizing and took the initiative.
I lost my long-range quad a couple days ago. It snowed last night... It wasn't even a half mile away, but now I probably won't get it back to salvage parts for years... lol
Also, learning how to land. I broke a few things learning to disarm drop her into some grass from a foot. I tried to smooth it in right at my feet like a pro, and there were a few incidents. 😁
Number one... just got me. New quad ready to field test, batteries, bag, etc. get to the field and hard land on the first battery and pop a screw off the frame... NO TOOLS!!!!! Ugh. Always pack the necessities!!!!!!

#4 WHAT ! I'm still trying to perfect the power loop ... the best thing is a FPV backpack , I used to forget things sooo many times , now at least 80% of the time it's in the pack ...
It's perfectly ok to use a slightly different motor on one arm. The FC adjusts. This means that if you want a full punch out, and the mismatched motor can't keep up with the others, then you'll be limited by that motor.
Man I have to agree hard with the power loop to the moon. I still see it in videos people post. And then the roll is not smooth, it's all a quick snap at the end. When they had like a full 2 or 3 seconds of freefall still

Some people like myself still enjoy the hobby for what it is, A fun ass flight involving a bunch of random shit combined with a bunch of random shit.
there is a time and place for Lunar Launches; the start/end of a video, transistions between buildings/objects, or to get a good view of the entire area you are playing in. But to Launch to the moon every time?
@@xaphanofthenightfall1257 Every time?.....Yes. If your batteries dont come down puffed did you really even fly?
Props off when you work on your drone!
I won't be hitting up rotor riot when I crash because of the shipping and premiums we pay for the name even though I would really like to.. I wish there was a UK🇬🇧 Rotor Riot shop.. I've just ordered this week: fortini f4, tmotor F60 v3 x4 motors, diatone GTR MK3 5" Frame, speedybee f4, flywoo leds x6, caddix camera, floss 5" frame 😊
p.s really enjoyed the retro footage of Scitzo and Drew 👍👏🎉
Transmitter is not charged or forgot its battery. I had experience this twice, after traveling to sweet location. Its sucks!
I always keep a storage charged 2S lipo in my bag for when that happens. Even a 600mAh (300mAh left) is enough to fly most, if not all, my packs.
Battery straps will be the death of me.
Love you attitude 😆😎👌. Be safe everyone and fly on .
Reversing the polarity of your xt60 when you solder :)
Don’t forget to tighten your prop nuts or tighten/check for loose screws before flights
Never say or think “last pack”
Can a custom drone teturn to home and hover as well as the Mavic mini and even it's cheaper alternatives can? You guys all seem to fly freestyle and race but I also want stills and hovering shots.
Flying the way that makes you happy and have fun is never a mistake. If you want a full power climb then do it. Have fun!!!
Batteries. Make sure you bring charged batteries. Like your lipos, google batteries, and controller batteries. Make sure you have more than 1 set.
I lost my long-range quad a couple days ago. It snowed last night... It wasn't even a half mile away, but now I probably won't get it back to salvage parts for years... lol
Sweet man thanks for this extra content
Also, learning how to land. I broke a few things learning to disarm drop her into some grass from a foot. I tried to smooth it in right at my feet like a pro, and there were a few incidents. 😁
Forgetting to fasten 2nd battery strap.
The one that is supposed to hold the battery leads away from the prop
SD cards are my nemesis - They always stay home when I go out.
Number one... just got me. New quad ready to field test, batteries, bag, etc. get to the field and hard land on the first battery and pop a screw off the frame... NO TOOLS!!!!! Ugh. Always pack the necessities!!!!!!
Are you dropping the "le"?
lol seems so! (Hi Nurk!)
just call me driblet
Leaving the sd card in the laptop at home and not being able to film... yep... ive done that
thanks for the helpful tips
Really cool video! Funny style, I was entertained: )
Can somebody help me? I got today my iFlight Nazgul5 with a Frsky Taranis Q X7 and I can't bind it. Please help me I watched several videos but it isn't working.
I like how drib said for skateboarding you need a skateboard and shoes, but the editor showed a helmet. Either Drew wanted people to wear helmets on their feet, or the editor wasn't listening to drew.
HypeFlight FPV safety first
#4 WHAT ! I'm still trying to perfect the power loop ... the best thing is a FPV backpack , I used to forget things sooo many times , now at least 80% of the time it's in the pack ...
jajaja muy buen video !! than you. ya pase por varias cosas de esas.
Setting up your arming switch and or better yet setting up 2 switches for safety...
hey.....its really helpful dude....keep posting....🔥
It's perfectly ok to use a slightly different motor on one arm. The FC adjusts. This means that if you want a full punch out, and the mismatched motor can't keep up with the others, then you'll be limited by that motor.
Prop tool = a towel for me 👍
Hold that motor tight Boi!
Great vid 👍
Enjoyable. Thanks
Man I have to agree hard with the power loop to the moon. I still see it in videos people post. And then the roll is not smooth, it's all a quick snap at the end. When they had like a full 2 or 3 seconds of freefall still
Joseph Mendoza anyone that’s a veteran in the hobby stopped watching fpv vids a long time ago... only reason I clicked is to see what RR is up to lately. Same shit different pilot a friend of mine says.
Well done, sir. 👍
