Haha. As one of those Australians you mentioned I would not mind some 30degree days. Wet windy and max of 23 degrees today. That is cold where I live in the north of the country. I was born in Bradford . Left there 60 years ago at 10years old, Still remember Northern England winters.🥶😱
Blenheim is gorgeous. By the looks of the grounds close to the Palace, I would think the gardens were built by Capability Brown, it seems his type of work. Looks to me its one way in and one way out, so you don't pass on the narrow road you drove down in the first instance. Good video Luke, have a nice day.
I went to Blenheim some years ago, to deliver some electrical cables for the filming of one of the Harry Potter films I can't remember about gates and roadways, though.
Remember your horrible sweaty days Luke, keep to the diet and getting fitter plan and next years hot days won't be half as bad mate. Enjoying the vlogs 👍
I used to live in Lydney near the Forest of Dean and B.H. Cecil had a yard in the next village they hauled plywood for Lydney Plywood and one product was a one piece sheet to deck our HGV trailers, my brother in law worked for them at the factory getting trailers loaded ready for the drivers. There were several family owned transport companies in and around the Forest. Richard Reads was the most famous as they were also the ERF dealership and had shares in the HGV training school at Staverton. I think there were three other Read family transport companies each transport different load types. The Forest of Dean residents were covered by an ancient charter and could freely let sheep and pigs roam in the forest without charge or tax's. A transport company started up called Free Forester Transport and they tried running without road tax or paying other tax's. But that did not last long as they kept getting pulled up by the police.
An interesting case. I believe that it is still legal to use red diesel in a vehicle if its used to travel from one of your properties to another and using the public highway. However, I'm not sure about the road tax .
@@das5813 When I worked for Tarmac construction, site trucks would be towed from site to site not driven. They would run on red but there may have been another reason, like being tested. I drove a JCB and was allowed to drive on the road using red diesel but not allowed to carry goods in the bucket, other than accessories for the JCB. This I found strange as farmers can tow trailers with hay etc. both are in the same class.

Hi mate, it’s very good question and what I’ve thought about for a few minutes. It’s difficult to answer because on one hand I feel extremely confident driving the truck and I would say from near enough day one I’ve always felt confident. I consider myself very good at reversing and getting into spaces, it might sound big, but I would consider myself a good driver when it comes to handling difficult situations But … I would be lying if I said I don’t get anxious or nervous sometimes. a good 90% maybe 95% of the time I feel absolutely fine because I’ve prepared I’ve planned and I’ve taken roads that I’ve taken before so I know my way round but there are definitely times when you get nervous still For me, it’s mostly when going up steep hills when fully loaded . They have times when the wheels start spinning and I can’t get any grip. That gives me nervous. There was one time where I took the wrong road and went down lane unsuitable for long vehicles and I very nearly got stuck. Luckily I made it through. But haven’t said that I quite often go down tight lanes that single track and unsuitable for HGVs but we are required to take them to get to the places we are delivering to or collecting from So yeah, good question not really a straightforward answer I would say I felt confident very early on, but there will be challenging days where you get very nervous. I’ve been driving eight years now and I still get nervous days although not so often, but I definitely still get them
Hi ya Luke.. just wondering mate. Hows it work with your truck and london now? I believe you have to have cameras and the lower window in the passenger door? Is this correct? As trucker Tim got a biiiiig fine for not having them?
Just a heads up Luke You cannot use green beacons on your truck mate It is illegal. Green flashing lights are usually reserved for specific vehicles and services such as police, fire, ambulance and other emergency services. Using green flashing lights on a private vehicle without the proper permits and consents can result in legal penalties.
@@howardbeer5214 think his point is one Luke know this and has made it obvious he’s know this many times over the years, and that it’s only illegal if done on public roads which Luke never has them on when driving or parked on a public road 🤓
32:37 No! Do not have a cold shower when it's hot out. That will only make you feel hotter. Take a hot shower instead. As hot as you can bear it. This will raise your body temperature making the air temperature seem cooler. It works. I do this whenever it's hot out.
when you're driving around and talking about the scenery could you keep the camera on the view instead of flicking back and fourth to the camera facing you or keep the front facing camera on all the time and put the camera facing you up in one of the corners. Its really annoying when you talk about the scenery and just when we start to enjoy it you change the view to face you, Its a bit annoying.
