Warwick has the perfect voice for narrating documentaries, just like Morgan Freeman
He's a Shakespearean trained actor so it shouldn't come as a surprise.
Is that willow?
Always liked mr. Warwick...but never had a crush on him like I do have with Peter Dinklage....😉
@@thebeatnumber meh, he just has a deep voice regardless of his stature
James Earl Jones as well.
He needs to narrate more documentaries, he was soothing
it's true
not sure why he doesnt do more voice over work
@Not Good With Words Vega Feel better!
I so agree with you...
Ouf, first, I read : Shooting...
Im ur 555th like
Dude's deep voice is soothing. He should do more documentaries
I agree...his voice is amazing. I could listen to him describing how to peal a grape.
He's an actor and a good one at that
He's a British legend
He's a legend bro! And does much much more than voiceovers? You should probably check out his resume!! Hehe
Harry potter!
I would love to see more of Warwick diving into stories. I have only ever seen his acting, but this documentary he did shows his caring a compassionate side which is essential in tragic storytelling
Yes, I love his vouce too, perfect for narrating a documentary.
That struck me too, he was really caring.
he had his own show a few years aog, i forget what it was again, perhaps netflix? juust one season. google it
I just cant get over how perfectly structured Warwick's face is...handsome dude! And I agree...his voice is perfect for narration! Loved this bit of history.
Yeah. If dude was average height, he'd have been a romantic lead like Hugh Grant. I'd love to see him play some leads a la Cary Grant, alongside someone of any height.
Same goes for the sadly departed David Rappaport. He was downright beautiful.
This lady still looks pretty and classy. So sad that happened hope she's had a good rest of her life.
My mother who's 88, remembers as a child in Austria when the Nazi's came, one day playing with her friends, the next they'd disappeared. No one knew where they'd gone.
She still has nightmares if there's a thunderstorm, about bombing raids and tells of the times her brothers and she would go out and cover up the bodies with whatever came to hand. She was 6 when it the started.
What have we learned since then?
Bless your mother. Children are being taught that communism is the way. They are being taught to ban history they don’t like and to ban people they don’t like, even putting those people into camps if they don't agree with them. I read it daily on Twitter. They aren’t kidding. They say those who believe in freedom must be dealt with. If you don’t wear a mask for the rest of your life you are dangerous. This is why many schools no longer teach correct history. They call people Nazis while saying Hitler’s think was correct think. I see where this is going and it terrifies me.
Where those max is came from? Germany?

"In the german version of Snow White"
Snow White is originally a german tale, not an original story Walt Disney invented, but okay.....
That’s correct, but, there are other versions. Including, Japanese, Spanish, Russian and of course English.
They probably didn’t know that cause of course there are many other versions
Yes but there’s still hundreds of versions from different countries

@@NyuuMikuru1 Yeah... no. The Bible isn't any better at predicting the end of the world than the rambling homeless man down the street. Everyone who has ever existed believed that they were living in the end times, even today despite nearly every metric showing that things have only gotten better overall.
lesley brown No we aren’t. People have been saying that we’re in the Christian end times for 2000 years, and guess what? We never are.

Humans tend to stick to the same areas and paths . So if every person (or any other large animal) ever to exist left a line on the map showing where they had been, there would still be lots of blank areas. Technically there are many places near you (maybe not if you are in the middle of a city) that no person ever has walked over but only passed by.
.....It's almost as if the entirety of the U.S is stolen land built on ancient burial grounds that were there for generations and generations.

Hey that’s warwick Davis very famous for the movies Willow and The leprechaun series and from leprechaun in the hood also Star Wars as a Ewok And most famous for the new millennials to recognize he was in the Harry Potter series too and he lived a few houses down from me for many years really nice guy
Ahhh of course! Leprechaun in the hood. A true classic.
It's comforting to know he is the same person IRL as he appear to be in his public persona. He seems like a good guy to share a pint with.
He also plays in the old BBC narnia as reepicheep (sp) and nikabrik in the new ones.
Do you mean Gen Z? The Millennials are pushing forty.
@@SnowdropWood I have to laugh at them naming the present generation, "generation Alpha" as if rhey aren't self ageandizing enough. They should think about changing it to "Generation ADD". Warwick Davis is an amazing actor, he can play any role and make it emotionally real, so much respect for his skill!
Warwick not only has a great voice, he is also extremely good looking.
Ah...and I still have a terrible crush on Warwick Davis from when I saw him in Willow! He's a lovely and charming man.
Yes! He's aged so well!
Omg I didn’t realize who he was at first !!
Warwick Davis is an amazing actor who I have loved and respected since I was a child!! His movies brought joy and happiness into a very dark and scary world I lived in as a child!!!
Sadly Perla” Ovitz passed away in 2001. (1921-2001) -
That's so sad she would have been 100 this year
RIP Perla Ovitz. I'm glad she survived that insanity.
Rest In Peace.....
RIP
What year was this filmed
Terribly sad and heartbreaking. They didn’t know they were being hauled away by carts that would lead them to the camps.
Yeah- I always think about history with 20/20 vision, but the people going through it had no idea what a “ghetto” or “Holocaust” or even probably really why the Nazis were. These are all things they had to learn as they experienced them. Really tragic and scary stuff. This is a great documentary.
I’ve been learning about the Holocaust since I was a young girl when I read Anne Frank’s story. No matter how many books or articles I read, no matter how many documentaries or interviews I watch, I am continually shocked by the evil and horror.
That’s probably a good thing. I think some people get desensitized to it, and aren’t as shocked/disgusted as they should be. I had learned a lot about Anne Frank as well, but when I went to the Ann Frank museum in Amsterdam I cried. It’s all so terrible..
@@emackb1457 that’s a good point. I would rather be horrified by it than be emotionless and cold toward it.

I was born in San Francisco in 1944, I thank God that my grandparents came to America before the Nazis took over Europe.
My family had people on both sides. Jews in Germany, those who could hide and served and soldiers, and those who converted to Lutheranism and immigrated to America as my great grandfather did. I want to know about all sides but one thing I've discovered is that the human spirit is an amazing thing!
Correction: A human being with dwarfism remembers being taken by Nazi's.
People who people first language refers to actually don’t like it. It’s well meant, but I think the actual correct title would be “little person remembers being taken by Nazi’s”
Thank you. I saw the thumbnail title and gasped. Not cool Smithsonian. You should do better, especially in a film about the horrors of Natzi bigotry.
Well she is a dwarf so the title is true

I believe he was also in the movie “Ray”.
He was in all 8 of the Harry Potter films .
Hes actually been in a quite a few movies. I first remember him in the leprachaun movies.
@@sarahmm1767 that's why u read the comments never knew he was the leprechaun
He does loads on telly in the UK. Chat shows, quiz shows etc. He did a travel series with Karl Pilkington. Chase them up. A lot of it is on this site too.
Warwick we have always been so proud of you and everything you have done for the Little People community. Thank you so much.
Please do not exclude Roma from the conversation. 80% of our population died. But thanks for sharing! V educational
I often think of that when these terrible events are mentioned: too few people do, though.
I'm the grandchild of Jewish Holocaust survivors from Florence, Italy. Every year we have a religious celebration at the Synagogue called Yom Ha Shoah (meaning day of remembrance for the Shoah), and there's also a national holiday on January 27th, anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. During the national holiday the Roma community, which is quite numerous, is invited and joins us. We march from the Synagogue to the train station, where a sign marks the tracks that were used to deport prisoners, some pray, some sing, some put flowers and some others are just quiet. Survivors tell their stories and we feel as one family of humans, the way it should be. Whether we call it Holocaust, Porajmos or Shoah it was first and foremost a literal crime against everything that is human and we have to remember it.
It makes sense that the Nazis would target dwarves the way they had others with mental and physical differences from the mean. I knew thay had murdered thousands of those with mental disabilities, but this is just another piece in the tragic puzzle.

What do they mean "the German version of Snow White"? It's a German story!
I'm glad someone pointed that out.
German version of the film, obviously...
You see tho in that movie it said mirror mirror on the wall not magic mirror on the wall which supposedly it was supposed to be.
I remember watching this whole programme some years ago. I would love to see it all again...we must never forget.
I can't wait for the full version!
It was on the Smithsonian Channel last week.
EDIT: You can probably find it online since it aired in the UK some time last year.

So sad that people can treat others like this!
I had to scroll down past multiple posts before I saw a comment about the inhumanity of this story. Every other is just commenting on Warwick's voice.
Because some people only see there race as “ real “ people
@crystal15175 How dare a man from an area of land defined with imaginary lines on a made up map want all other people to be from that same area of land defined with imaginary lines on a made up map. That wasn't even inhabited until other people walked across imaginary lines on maps not even made up yet.
They still do, human trafficking, slavery, etc it still exists. Sadly!!!

She’s not a dwarf. She’s a woman with dwarfism.
Yesss, finally someone speaking with dignity and common sense. 🌞🇳🇱
And yet that’s how Warwick describes himself. Do either of you have dwarfism? I doubt it. Too busy worrying about everyone else. Take a close look at yourselves, puritans.
Is it not beautiful and right that a place of sadness and such pain becomes a place of laughter and where children play
How absoutely tragically horrific. That really brought things home. Seeing that place & hearing the words from the journal. Quite chilling. That affected me more than any horror movie ever has. I feel nauseous & terrified. I could not help imagining the events, seeing the place where it happened. That is an incredibly powerful clip of a programme. Should be shown in every school. I feel shaken & sad.
I’ve seen the entire documentary and the story this woman told was so sad. My heart hurt when she said at the end of it that, despite everything he did to her and her siblings, she didn’t hate Josef Mengele because he let them live. I can’t even imagine. It’s been a few years since I saw it and she still pops into my head at the oddest times.
Amazing voice! Please narrate more documentaries!
My mom and dad were taken from Poland during the war in cattle cars I was born in a camp in Germany. So sad for me and my 9 siblings

This was incredibly interesting, there are many aspects of the Holocaust that need to be divulged and properly understood. On a different note, if there was a Nobel Prize for most random video title (without context), this one would win it no problem!
