Sewing the Sole- Leather sole on a handmade Cowboy Boot

Check us out sewing the leather sole on one of handmade cowboy boots. Yes...it is no joke, we sew the sole on upside down...which makes it much harder to do it right!!
This is how we sew the leather sole onto a handmade cowboy boot...UPSIDE DOWN!! We use a machine called a curve-needle sewing machine, which feeds the boot through upside down. This machine goes back over 100 years, and is still the same technology used in todays boot factories. The machine weighs about 750 lbs and is one of the final machines to master in the art/craft of boot making.
