Howzer's behavior looked "normal" pre-Order 66 whereas a lot of clones have become more aggressive and blood thirsty. And for some reason, he's the only one still wearing Clone Wars era armor in terms of the colors designating which unit he's from while majority of the clones are now wearing pure white, or shiny armor. It makes me believe he's one of the few that's not affected by the inhibitor chip. Maybe a faulty, or defective chip. There are millions of clones, so it's possible there will be some clones with a bad chip. They gave him a decent amount of screen time for a reason, and him showing empathy and compassion such as not writing a report about Hera, telling Cham it's not a good idea to execute Senator Taa, etc. I wouldn't expect a clone now controlled by the inhibitor chip to do all that IMO. Some fans speculate it's because he wasn't around a Jedi when Order 66 went live, but I disagree on that notion. To me, it doesn't make sense for Order 66 only working if a clone is in proximity of a Jedi. Not to mention he's the only clone that takes off and puts on his helmet post-Order 66. I don't think it's a coincidence how the clones don't take off their helmets anymore either since it's symbolic how the clones are now faceless soldiers for an Empire.
Agreed with nearly all your points, but I have a few minor disagreements & additions. We have seen clones take their helmets off in the mess hall, during Order 66, with the chips being activated and such. They even cracked a joke and laughed at it too, albeit like little school bully punks, but they showed somewhat light personality and weren't necessarily bloodthirsty or aggressive in that instance. Also, Howzer's not the only one. There's also the Kamino Security clones and the Coruscant Guard we saw all throughout the premiere and further episodes. Not to mention, there's also Vader's Fist, aka the chip-possessed 501st legion. I believe they're still canon, but we have yet to see them onscreen of course, so we'll see if they ever show up. They became Vader's personal legion after the war, so I doubt we'll see them much, if at all, but I'm hopeful! :) Very curious to know if the 212th, who were basically assisting the 501st all throughout most of the war because of Obi-Wan and Anakin's close bond and Master & Apprentice relationship, got to keep their colors as well as some other major legions like the 41st.
@@Vandicoup Also in the canon Vader comics the Coroscaunt guard keeps their red shock trooper markings AND Fox actually stays alive (and is eventually killed out of frustration by Vader). We also know that Vader took a liking to Appo as he was a lot like Rex (Both of these are debatable tho because the canon Vader comics may be retconned as we saw with the one scene in the Kanan comic). I think perhaps they gave commanders and captains more freedom so they could remain autonomous and free thinking for battles and such to also direct regs, we see the initial freak out during Order 66 but from there on out only see regs with clean armor. Howzer is our first non reg or shock trooper captain we are seeing after episode 1 so maybe its to show yeah his chip malfunctioned or that clone commanders have more leeway after 66 is finished.
@@Vandicoup Yeah, that's true. But I think the helmet bit might be a bit exaggerated since it does appear the clones don't take off their helmet regularly when they're on duty. It makes sense for the clones to take off their helmet when they're eating, or off duty on Kamino. Same thing how fans joked during season 1 about Din Djarin probably doesn't even take off his helmet when eating and drinking. Also, I think the clones are even more aggressive when they're in combat, but not as aggressive with each other unless needed. For example, in the final episode of The Clone Wars, the clones straight up blasted all the droids that Ahsoka and Rex were working with when trying to escape just because they were accomplices. But it made sense why since they were dead set on trying to stop and kill Ahsoka and Rex. I think the Kamino Security and Coruscant Guards make more sense considering they're not really apart of the Grand Army of the Republic in a way. Since there's tension between the Kaminoans and Empire, I see the former wanting their specialized security unit to keep their colors, maybe as a middle finger to the Empire. And I always considered the Coruscant Guards are Sidious' personal army since in canon (unless changed again), they've always been more loyal to him than the Republic itself. After all, Sidious probably told Commander Fox to kill Fives at all cost to stop him from leaking the inhibitor chip knowledge.

Love your reaction!! May the force be with you, Always! 🖤🖤🖤
They faded to black because they couldn't show what happened to her next -- it would be too dark for a children's show. Don't anybody tell me "But bro, you know she comes out fine because she previously appeared in blah blah blah" I don't care. This whole episode was a naked allegory for the German occupation of France. Fat blue president Twylek is a stand-in for Pierre Laval, the Nazi collaborator who was put in charge of France during the occupation and was later executed by firing squad. Hera's dad is Marshal Philippe Pétain, a revered military figure who broke the news to the French public that they had agreed to an armistice with Germany. Hera's whole story in this episode is plainly a tragedy, in the vein of The Diary of Anne Frank or any other World War II coming of age story. Her uncle callously manipulates her into serving the resistance instead of concerning himself with her safety. In that respect he's almost like an anti-Hunter. That makes the Bad Batch's appearance even more tragic: Omega is living the life Hera dreams of, but is doomed to never have. Even with her parents being captured, if they had allowed her to escape into a life of adventure in the stars, it would have undercut the whole point of the episode, which is that under tyrannical occupation, some very bad things can happen to good people.
I definitely did not expect to see Hera Syndulla and C1-10P ("Chopper") in this episode. Also, I have a feeling that Captain Howzer is going to go against the Galactic Empire.
No one Gunna mention how the clone (howzer) who seems to have his own free will and decision making has a fresh af trim ? My man look like he straight out the barbers
Speaking of having your own room in a ship, you're gonna love life aboard your ship in KOTOR. It's like being there. And unlike SWTOR where nothing ever happens in the ships, there's stuff actually happening, so if you haven't gone to the engine room or the cargo bay in a while, be sure to pay a visit once in a while...
Why do blasters just hit people and they die? Because in the clone wars seasons 1 through 6 most of the time the blaster went through un armored people. Them just hitting people and killing them makes no sense. It makes sense in the original trilogy because they were all wearing armour and effects were limited.
We don't know that Orn Free Taa is dead. Rampart arrested Syndulla for "attempted assassination" of Taa. Both Cham and Taa are in the cannon book "Lords of the Sith". Its possible they could decannonize the book, but at the moment it isn't. And let's face it, Taa has enough fat on his head to survive. Just a note, Lords of the Sith takes place 5 years after the birth of the Empire and Hera's mother had been dead for at least a few years.
Glie, the last name of the blue Twi'lek named Gobi, has been Cham's right hand man and best friend ever since TCW. We saw him in Rebels indeed, but he first appeared in S1 of TCW, during the Ryloth arc and in the standalone episode, Supply Lines.
@@esteryrose Yep. Just like how Hera also has a more American accent too in Rebels. If I remember right, at some point during Rebels, she even said she lost her original accent when she ran away from her family and home world or something like that. Looks like we're seeing the origins right here in TBB with her still being young and having that original French accent that she never had in Rebels.
@@zvimur Just as how Hera didn't sound French either in Star Wars Rebels. Not all Twi'leks speak their native accent just as how not all humans speak their native accent either. It's all very similar to the real world in many ways. Looks like we're seeing the origins right here in TBB with her still being young and having that original French accent that she never had in Rebels.
6:23 The Twi'leks weren't always enslaved. Back when the Republic were still the good guys, before the chips were activated en masse, they actually did genuinely help them all throughout the Clone Wars and helped repel many Separatist invasions while also valiantly fighting alongside them 'till the death such as in Supply Lines with Master Ima Gun Di and Captain Keeli.
Also, I’m fairly certain fat bois still alive. He moved a bit on the cart, and Rampart said it was an “attempted assassination”. I think Crosshairs rifle shot a blue bolt instead of red as well
The moment I had to remind myself that Hera is a child was the moment that she appeared on screen and I smacked my forehead saying: “of course it’s hera’s mom she’s a child right now. Idiot brain.”
Yes. Taa even escapes the Perilous in Lords of the Sith. They only used him to get an excuse to brand Cham as a rebel since Taa and Palpatine don't like his views on Ryloth's freedom.
I have a feelign Howzer is going to involved in the clone insurrection if that is the direction they are going with this show. Maybe Howzer and his boys join with the bad batch. Who knows though.
@@stephenbenton1597 I just read it, kinda makes sense. But is that story canon (the story with Vader and Sidious)? I have no clue. If it is, than I guess he survives (and was only shot to frame Cham), but if isn't canon, its possible he did die. Idk
Seeing the last 2 weeks, I see Dave doing what he was taught. He's world building. Seeding the plot threads fans like myself know from the future(or past as it's an older series). Yet also continuing to use the themes of honor, duty, loyalty and individuality that's been prevalent since day one of Clone Wars. As well as showing how the galaxy at large deals with the change, yet the seeds of the leadership that will one day make the rebellion we see in the original Trilogy. Also it was great to see C110P, I missed that surly bugger.
Yea it's what I don't understand when people call this filler, we're seeing the characters and story exist in the world and the plot is still progressing with each episode. Not every episode of clone wars was the Maul arc. Just let the story exist.
@@zombieoverlord5173 RIGHT? The slow burn that season 1 of Mandalorian was. The early episodes of season 7 of CW. Seasons 1 and 2 of Rebels. And now this all show Dave knows wtf he's doing(hell if given the time to tell his story, George would've done this to the prequels IMHO)I eagerly await each new episode because of my trust for Dave (I liked Rebels as far back as the pilot episode)
Hera is not Older than Kanan. This is some trickery going on here. Caleb was 14 at the start of this show. Ten years later he meets Hera who was 18 at the time. That would mean that here she should be 8 years old. Ezra is only a couple of months old. Sabine should be 3 or 4.
They can easily change her age around a little bit. She doesn’t look 8 here, she looks to be older than Omega and probably around 10-12. As long as she’s close in age to Kanan, the exact age doesn’t matter too much.
Interesting how Howzer not only questioned Rampart order to arrest Hera, he also earlier let Hera off with a warning for being in a restricted zone, when since order 66 clones have had zero tolerance for breaking law... Wonder if somehow if clones don't get a booster like crosshair has that after time chips start to degrade in someway & clones can start to question order 66 & what they've been doing lately & is another reason why Empire going to faze them out, because its always seemed odd to me why they would decommission a massive ready made, better trained army for conscripts that couldn't hit a Banthas arse from 10foot with an E-10 blaster , it can't be all down to cost when it would cost just has much if not more to train them..
I hate to say it, but Howzer is gonna die next episode protecting Cham and Hera. But it's so cool to see some clones "back to their old selves" even after Order 66. Loving this arc!

Somewhere that's not the head so as to not confuse people that he's dead or not, though I feel that was intentional and is meant as a surprise in a future episode showing Orn alive, I dunno. So weird how Rampart could instantly tell he's still alive after that shot to the head hahaha. As if he knew he was going to still be alive, he planned for him to survive that shot. Hmmm...
I saw the movement. His hand was uncurling, relaxing. Not really an indication of life if you ask me. And we're talking about a straight headshot here. I know it's not his canon death according to Lords of the Sith but since when has Bad Batch cared about stepping on novels or comics?
That or they changed how he died. But probably right. We do know that the books even though canonized, certain books anyway, they dont always follow the same storyline and do sometimes deviate from that.
"Bro look at the back of his head...he's like missing a spot." 🤣 "He just showed him a meme. That's why he chuckled." 🤣 "I don't know what company makes those hex shaped crates, but there probably like the richest in the entire galaxy. Cause everyone uses them."🤣
With Kanan, Hera and Chopper showing up, I think its likely we might see Zeb in the Future, most likely after the Lasats were attacked by the Empire but before he joined the Ghost Crew, not so sure about Sabine and Ezra though, Sabine is around 2 Years Old during this and Ezra is only a Few Months Old, although we might still see their Parents, we saw Ursa in Season 7 of The Clone Wars so its likely she might Show up here at one point
Imagine a whole show, with a different character each episode, showing them reacting and adjusting to living in the empire. Like a episode with a run away Jedi and them wondering how some of his or her closet friends tried to kill them and killed there master or Padawan and adjusting to a hostile galaxy with no friends or a home, or a senator slowly losing there way by giving there planet more and more to the empire wonder where there loyalty’s is staying with the empire that has given them so much or helping there people and being more rebellious, or a clone that did commit order 66 and maybe regretting it and has ptsd from killing there general and friend, ect. Note: Just a idea, what you guys think 😊
I JUST REALIZED YOU KNOW THAT ONE RYLOTH GIRL BOIL AND WAXER BECAME FRIENDS WITH, WHAT IF NEXT EPISODE THE GIRL APPEARS AGAIN AND BOIL IS ON THE PLANET SINCE HES A CLONE AND HE DIES OR SOME SHIT PROTECTING HER OR SMTHN AND THATS HOW SHE GOT HIS ARMOR IN REBELS
Orn Free Taa isn't dead, my take on fake attempt to assassinate Orn Free Taa is Rampart being under orders to Enslave Ryloth probably from Tarkin. So in a misguided plot to get people of Ryloth to turn on Cham & support Orn Free Taa, Rampart gets fighters to hand in there weapons knowing Gobi will attempt to re-arm then once they're under arrest he sets up Cham taking them both out picture making Ryloth easier to control..
It was a good episode...Crosshair taking out the Senator was pretty rad...while I have no love to rebels it was cool the see little Hera and Chopper. I so thought that Crosshair was going to kill Hera's mom though. Yet, once again where in the heck i the Imperial Fleet? How do all these important planets have no Imp Capital ships over them. The war hasn't been over that long. Where are the Venators, or even the Carrack Cruisers or Victory Class Star Destroyers which were around at the of the Clone Wars.
Guys notice that Hauser hope that's the right spelling. Still has his individual armour perhaps because there was no Jedi on planet. That he didn't get order 66. What do you think.
I really love the rebels connection and hope it ends with the meet up of Kanan and Hera but kanan can’t meet up with the bad batch to keep his hatred of clones till he’s older with his meeting of rex
But Kanan and Hera meet years later. A New Dawn is the story. That level of retcon would be unthinkable if they ever want anyone to buy another novel again.

This episode made my heart so happy because I am so in love with Rebels, and it’s beautiful how Filoni is sewing together his series and characters! I think maybe, just maybe we can se young Kallus attacking Zeb’s Planet! Omg! I don’t know! But I strongly believe all of this is leading us into live action of rebels getting together to look for Ezra! And so maybe they push all of this into the book of boba fett and Ahsoka….. maybe! Love your reaction!! May the force be with you, Always! 🖤🖤🖤
Yeah all the future episodes titles can be found don’t search unless you want to be spoiled a little but the next episodes called “Rescue at Ryloth”
@@CaptainAmercia OMG! 🤯🤯
I love how we got to see an Imperial LAAT in this episode, as well as other things fo course
And the Juggernaut
9:08 The classic "Rebels" pose. First Ezra, then Sabine, & now Hera. Nice callback by Filoni.
So this is how spark of Rebelion is lited , LOVE IT !!!
Wouldn't be surprised if they made a fuckin Durge cameo
That would be nuts
Durge is in the new Doctor Aphra comics
Everyone finna come back
I definitely did not expect to see Hera Syndulla and C1-10P ("Chopper") in this episode. Also, I have a feeling that Captain Howzer is going to go against the Galactic Empire.
No one Gunna mention how the clone (howzer) who seems to have his own free will and decision making has a fresh af trim ?
My man look like he straight out the barbers
Thanks, Bendu! Thanks, Kyle! Thanks, Nerd Chronic! 🌠 'Orn Free Taa' isn't quite dead yet. Wookieepedia confirms he was merely incapacitated by the headshot (explaining why 'Rampart' said, "attempted assassination"). Perhaps that'll be clarified in Episode 12?
Gosh, that shot at 13:16 really reminds me of the Enterprise. It's like Slave 1 and the Enterprise had a baby
Never get tired of of watching your reaction and the enthusiasm and excitement at the smallest Easter eggs is great. 🤜🏼🤛🏻
My favorite episode by far. It was a masterstroke including these different perspectives here. Really a breath of fresh air.
Taa survived, guys. Rampart called it an "attempted" assassination, and his arm was moving as he was carted off. He got shot in the lekku.
Great reaction guys! What a fun episode!
The background artists are going SO HARD in this series.
Glie, the last name of the blue Twi'lek named Gobi, has been Cham's right hand man and best friend ever since TCW. We saw him in Rebels indeed, but he first appeared in S1 of TCW, during the Ryloth arc and in the standalone episode, Supply Lines.
Emm, no expert, but French accent speaking Twi'leks? The couple in Mandalorian weren't.
@@zvimur not all of them speak their native accent
@@esteryrose Yep. Just like how Hera also has a more American accent too in Rebels. If I remember right, at some point during Rebels, she even said she lost her original accent when she ran away from her family and home world or something like that. Looks like we're seeing the origins right here in TBB with her still being young and having that original French accent that she never had in Rebels.
@@zvimur Just as how Hera didn't sound French either in Star Wars Rebels. Not all Twi'leks speak their native accent just as how not all humans speak their native accent either. It's all very similar to the real world in many ways. If I remember right, at some point during Rebels, Hera even said she lost her original accent when she ran away from her family and home world or something like that. Looks like we're seeing the origins right here in TBB with her still being young and having that original French accent that she never had in Rebels.
Great seeing Omega and Hera meet each other
I like that Hera's accent is stronger!
Every time I start your reactions I always have to say "Hello there" with you. You can't stop me!
For an episode without a Gonk, this was amazing!
I like how (for me) there was an ad right when Crosshair's blaster bolt hit the shuttle. XD
"on fri tah was a fat fuck" - Kyle katarn
9:33 Golbi appears in rebels he is Cham right hand man!
It really looked like hera’s Mum was going to get sniped
That Captain Howzer is very interessting,
Yes. Taa even escapes the Perilous in Lords of the Sith. They only used him to get an excuse to brand Cham as a rebel since Taa and Palpatine don't like his views on Ryloth's freedom.
9:02 The Bald Batch. In honor to Crossbald.
I have a feelign Howzer is going to involved in the clone insurrection if that is the direction they are going with this show. Maybe Howzer and his boys join with the bad batch. Who knows though.
What about howzer scar ? The chip of him can be dameged
The Senator is actually still alive. Crosshair just, painfully, knocked him out.
How is he alive? It wouldn't make sense.
@@lespaul5734 Go on Wookiepedia and search him up. He was still alive years later when Cham attempted to assassinate Vader and Sidious.
@@lespaul5734 Also he said the attempted assassination of the Senator.
@@stephenbenton1597 I just read it, kinda makes sense. But is that story canon (the story with Vader and Sidious)? I have no clue.
If it is, than I guess he survives (and was only shot to frame Cham), but if isn't canon, its possible he did die. Idk
@@lespaul5734 It’s canon, if you press the the canon spot on Wookiepedia you will see it.
As much as I love Dave's work, he isn't actively working on this one; he created the show and is doing other things, similar to Resistance
@@adambomber3384 that may be, but his influence is there
Hera is not Older than Kanan.
Yall are the best!!
Keep the love for Star Wars and keep being cool
Bruhhh, Orn's STILL alive. I just now realized! Go back to 24:20 in the episode and focus on his hand while he's on the stretcher. *IT'S STILL MOVING! LOLOLOLOLOOOO--* And remember, "Attempted assassination & We all have our parts to play." But I just wish he was shot at a more, uh...reasonable area haha.
@@KyleKatarnChannel Yeah, you got a solid point there.
Ah nerd chronic missed opportunity to put in Howzer saying "sir, she's just a child"
Star Wars is a great lesson on Fascism and tyranny.
WTF! -bendus translation on chop lol
We meet gobi in rebels, he doesn't die
Pelican. They've been making cases since before a long time ago, and in galaxies far far away
Surprised how Gobi was one refusing to bow down to Empire presence on Ryloth & Cham was siding up with sleazy Orn Free Taa..
That or they changed how he died. But probably right. We do know that the books even though canonized, certain books anyway, they dont always follow the same storyline and do sometimes deviate from that.
Orn Free Taa lives! Watch his hand moving. I’m not glad he survived mind you.
Not sure you noticed but the Uncle sounds like Corey Burton. He's the voice of Cad Bane.
"Bro look at the back of his head...he's like missing a spot." 🤣
"He just showed him a meme.
That's why he chuckled." 🤣
"I don't know what company makes those hex shaped crates, but there probably like the richest in the entire galaxy. Cause everyone uses them."🤣
I think everyone still underestimated how good Rampart is as a tactician, this episode shows a bit of that
Orn Free Taa somehow survives that, because he’s in the Lords of the Sith novel set 5 years later
Crosshair just trimmed off some fat.
I’ve heard some theorize that perhaps the affects of order 66 is wearing off, at least for some clones
Sounds like we're seeing both sides of " common ground" here as the transition continues.
The uncle is the LT and chem and right hand in rebels we see him alive in rebels
Next episode called "Rescue on Ryloth" I can see Eleni being killed possibly by Crosshair & Howzer switch sides & die..
"Shes so pretty"
Me: "shes a f#cking twi'lek of course she is"
You're right, how could I forget automatic hotties like Bib Fortuna and Orn Free Taa
09:28 Gobi was in Rebels so he won't die in Bad Batch
Gobi is alive in Rebels!
nah kanan is older than hera by 4 years it says on wookiepedia
No need for space suits they are too cool for that
I JUST REALIZED YOU KNOW THAT ONE RYLOTH GIRL BOIL AND WAXER BECAME FRIENDS WITH, WHAT IF NEXT EPISODE THE GIRL APPEARS AGAIN AND BOIL IS ON THE PLANET SINCE HES A CLONE AND HE DIES OR SOME SHIT PROTECTING HER OR SMTHN AND THATS HOW SHE GOT HIS ARMOR IN REBELS
If we see Numa getting Boil's armor I would be so happy
I agree with the French resistance allegory, sadly most members of the French resistance were captured and executed by the Nazis
“But we just turned over all our weapons to the empire.”
As a Texan this hurts to hear.
Orn Free Taa is still alive, they just says "attempted assasination" and he moves when he is brought inside.
Hera's mom has got it going on.
Orn Free Taa isn't dead, my take on fake attempt to assassinate Orn Free Taa is Rampart being under orders to Enslave Ryloth probably from Tarkin.
So in a misguided plot to get people of Ryloth to turn on Cham & support Orn Free Taa, Rampart gets fighters to hand in there weapons knowing Gobi will attempt to re-arm then once they're under arrest he sets up Cham taking them both out picture making Ryloth easier to control..
the imperials are setting up these doonium mines for the death star, i bet.
I wonder do Hera and Kanan know they met the same clones
Revisiting the season and this episode still is one of the great ones in my list. 🌸
Hera looks so much like her mother.
Hera and kanan may be the same age.girls usually look more mature than boys in their early to mid teenage years.
