I don't know if you can use the same sizing kit, but I can share that the Gen 2 is much thinner and lighter. I hardly notice it is on. As I say in the video, for sizing, if you're between sizes, I'd recommend getting the smaller size as you want the ring to fit snug for the sensors to work properly.
They gonna add paywall soon, maybe as ultra human, or different. CEO even mentioned that sleep apnea will be avaiable behind pay wall x). Having no subscription and not doing new accesories like watch, sugar meter etc... the company cannot survive, maybe if they release one ring every year but... We will see, atm am sad that they are not transparent about future pay walls.
I think intense smart ring competition through 2025/2026 will drive all these companies to keep competitive and avoid pay walls except for limited special features. I can't imagine them pay walling sleep apnea after releasing it as the flagship feature.
If you do get one and try it out, @Traynoramp08 PLEASE come back and share your results. I've done my darndest to invoke sleep apnea and, fortunately for me but not so good to demo the capabilities of this ring, I haven't had any sessions where my SpO2 dropped below 90%. It's really going to require true sleep apnea experiencers to report in if the Gen 2 RingConn ring will accurately catch them. Thanks in advance.
Of course! This looks just like a regular ring. If you've got a good, tight fit (recommended) you won't see the diode lights glowing from underneath, so nobody will know you have a smart ring on. I've worn mine through TSA screening with my arms above my head with no problems.
Glad it was helpful! I had a bunch of false starts recording this one until I fully understood it in a way I could present it to you guys. This tech is getting more and more complex, especially with trend analysis and AI supported health recommendations. Interestingly, these smart ring companies are all taking different spins on the data by covering different but overlapping data sets. It's almost like each one has carved out a niche that the others don't have. I'm wearing three of them daily and would like to wear a 4th, but that's just too much. Jumping in on this one at the introductory price is a good idea if you're considering it as an option.
Just to clear up some information in the video this ring DOES NOT sync bi-directionly on google/Apple Health apps. This means it can only write to the health apps not read information from other trackers like an Apple watch. This was verified by a current beta tester for the gen 2. This is a major oversight by their dev team as their peers do have the ability to do this. Things like stress scores, steps, and more within the ringconn app would be absolutely useless if people use more than one device for tracking (most do) such as an apple watch.
What you say makes 0 sense. You will be wearing the ring all day so it already has all the info it needs. Why do you need your apple or Samsung watch to send similar info to the ring?
@@Bearly_Blue Because rings are not as accurate in motion. They do not have nearly the same amount of sensors a bigger tracker has. There is no GPS, there are no vibration functions to wake you if you need to use an alarm, and the number of sensors to track movement can not do three-dimensional space like an Apple watch can. You cannot track even a quarter of the workouts a true smartwatch can either. As far as workouts these are extremely limited in what they can do. The tech will improve but it's not going to match an Apple watch anytime soon. These rings have their place for those not concerned about fitness but for someone who's physically active, most have a bunch of tracking devices. This would only be useful for sleep because of the form factor. The reason google / apple integration is important is those who DO have other tracking devices need to sync data across so they can aggregate them in a single place. This device cannot do that.
@@NameGueSapeYe There may be other 3rd party ones I'm unaware of but I know Ultra human and Oura rings support Bi-directional sync. My hope is they can fix this for the RingConn but the first gen never got this feature and currently, neither does the second which is a bummer. Like you said fingers crossed.
Kickstarter page just launched. Here's what they have to say: "RingConn Gen 2 seamlessly tracks various sports, including indoor/outdoor running, walking, and cycling, providing real-time data on key metrics directly to your smartphone. It integrates effortlessly with a range of top health and fitness apps, such as Apple Health and Google Health Connect."
My guess is it's comparable to smartwatch batteries. These things tend to be measured in cycle times, so the longer a device can last between charges, the longer actual 'time' you should be able to get on the battery. I'd recommend charging it fully when you get it, then let it run down to 20%. Don't go below because the sleep apnea monitoring won't work below 20%. Then recharge it fully and try to stick with that pattern. Another way is to plan for a charge once a week during a time you have an hour or two you can dedicate to putting it on the charger, like Sunday night before bed and getting ready for work. Just charge it until it is full and pull it off the charger and back on your finger. Works for me!
I've had the Gen 1 RingConn for over 1 year, and haven't had any degradation in battery. I still get 7 days per charge! And the Gen 2 will be 10-12 days per charge.
Ah but did you tell your friends about the initial lollipop taste, and how long it took to get to the chocolate center, or how short the paper stick was and if it dissolved in your mouth and got paper on your tongue, or if it was waterproof to a minimum of 5 SPM (Sucks Per Minute)! It's easy to pop a lollipop and just suck it, but it's a challenge to convey the experience to someone else. Thanks for watching!

Is it true ringconn doesn't track live heart rate in a live workout? And it just does tracking every 10 seconds? I really wanna see the heart rate changing by the second in my workouts 😩
Good question. I haven't checked for that. I'll try and find out for you. If RingConn is monitoring these comments, feel free to jump in and provide an answer. Thanks.
@@schonlift To add some insight into this the RingConn gen 2 cannot track 02 levels unless your hand is completely still such as during sleep or sitting. There was a discussion about this on their reddit page. I would not use this as a fitness tracker at all or a replacement for something like an Apple watch. The issue being all smart rings currently track very little in the way of activities. Apple Watch has 20 workouts it can track, my understanding is most rings can only do running, walking, and biking or less than about a quarter of a true fitness tracker.
@windwardmist6333 thank you! I do understand that. It's not replacing a fitness tracker per Say. I do just want live tracking while walking atleast :) my galaxy ring does but it's so expensive I want a company that responds to feedback and samsung is too large
@@schonlift Also keep in mind ringconn cannot read and write to the Google Health app currently. It can only WRITE. This was verified by a beta tester for gen 2. A lot of the metrics would just be totally worthless if you have more than one tracker. I hope they address this ASAP as their peers include read and write access. To me, that's just about the biggest issue with Ringconn rings right now.
I’ve only charged my gen one charging case about 3 or 4 times in the 15-16 months I’ve had it. Amazing!
Yea, it's a really nice extra bonus that the both Gen 1 and Gen 2 include the charging case. Thanks for pointing that out.
The KS starts tomorrow! Wow what a perfect time for me to get interested in smart rings, as a sleep apnea patient.
Good timing!

Anybody want to chime in? I'd like to hear what other folks have to say.

I have a gen 1 ring. How does the gen 2 size compare to the Gen 1, and to the sizing kit they provided with the gen 1?

I received an Aizo ring and don't see that you have a review on it. Wondered if you have done one or could you do one? Thanks.
I haven't heard about the Aizo. I'll go looking for it. I still have a few fingers left!

you can yes

I have sleep apnea as well and will definitely order it! Very curious to see if it's comparable to the measurements of my CPAP machine.
