For the graphics you add in, could you please split the screen and show the opposite for if you were goofy, cos they don't really make sense for me as I don't ride regular.
I’m not a teaching pro coach but IMO beginners should ride more and get very good at riding before learning “tricks.” This trick would just come naturally after getting good at riding. I think learning stuff like this just puts more stuff in beginners minds to think about and takes time away from getting better at riding Good riding builds confidence and is more enjoyable than trying to learn tricks imo
Being able to control your edges is an essential skill and this drill is a great way to help the student understand this, and in turn this will make them a better more confident snowboarder in the long run. Do not get hung up on the term 'Trick' this exercise is a great way to develop your edge control skills. :)
