Love all the socks 🧦!!! Glad the weather is better and the cleanup is behind your community! Happy Sunday! 💜
The blanket turned out beautifully!
I love the tip about pulling yarn from the opposite side of the cake for heel flap. I’ll try that next time.😊
OMG your green penguono is stunning! I LOVE the color choices on the back panel.
Funny, my kid was sick last week, ordered some yarn, and she was immediately better the next day 😮
Hello from stormy Mounds, Illinois. Your blanket is gorgeous, I love it, now I want one too!
So lovely to catch up with all your projects - they are looking great! Count me in to the Knit all the Scraps KAL - that is amazing! Glad you're doing the MKAL - I'm doing it and am doing all pinks.
All the Stuart monsters😂
I LOVE your green sweater!
Love your Penguono !❤
I'm willing to test your theory! Next time I have a sick kid, I'll order some yarn and see if they magically feel better. It's worth a try! Lol
So wanting to do a scrapy, mismatched, socks knitting throughout the year. I mean, I have PLENTY of socks, but I have more yarn, so... Yes! it's beginning to feel like sweater weather is coming. Was able to do my walk today without melting!
Yessss! I am so in for the Knit all the scraps KAL! ❤
Thanks Lisa, I will send a message to you on ravery when I figure out what pattern to pick.
Hello Lisa. Power back on. Good. Summer continuing to shine down upon us. Not so good. I pray for fall and the cooling months ahead. I agree with your sentimental thoughts on life reguarding it's ups and downs. One of the kids get sick. Buy yarn.....the dog tosses his cookies Buy yarn..... Neighbors tree falls on my property Buy yarn....Local tea dispensary is out of Vanilla Black tea Buy yarn....The Grandtoddler found your stash. The parents buy yarn. So simplistic and meaningful. I Knitroverted myself on Sunday. The family had a planned get together with an 80 year old Great Grandmother. I was going to go. But my brain was cranking out an excuse by Saturday night. I had to cast on my yarnable skein. Android phone pictures are such a Godsend. Wouldn't you agree? Each and everyone of your freckled whimsey socks are absolutely phenomenal Lisa. Do I need another monthly sock club addition? Halloween. It's a comin' folks. I have 3 and their a doosey. I kinda astonished a cousin of mine during a dinner party explaining the anatomy of a sock. I was interrupted by my brother to pass the peas. Ok. I get it. TMI. (Too much information). I know when to shut the heck up. I can turn the heel and keep smiling 😊 Ken
I was determined not to do the MKAL this year...but my mind started to wander and think of what colours I would choose if I did take part...but still determined not to. Then Stephen released the colour pallets and one was in the colours I'd imagined, and in the yarn I was thinking, and that was it, I'm signed up!
Have you ever watched Martyn on the Knit365 podcast? He is lots of fun, especially during MKAL season 😊
Yep! I watch his podcast!
I used to only wear mismatched sock all through high school and college, so I'm keen to buy an advent and make a bunch of mismatched socks like you. Such a great idea!
Your Penguono is looking amazing!
I pull the yarn from the outside, because I use one of those yarn spinner things. I love it.
I'm trying pumpkin Spice creamer this season. I can't taste it. Maybe it's because I got the sugar free.
Love your afghan,,, I can do a square but I still can’t figure out how to join the squares,,,
I’m a heel flap and gusset girl but when I did self striping I always did an afterthought heel to keep the stripes intact. A few months ago on a different podcast or Instagram post they mentioned using the other end of the skein for the flap and heel turn. I started doing that and I love it! Sometimes I just use a contrasting color too. ❤
I have scrapes to send to you!!
I want to do the garder cardigan by Westknits
Well,,,that made my day!!!
Thanks ,LISA!,EXCITED TO decide on a pattern,,,Think I know which one,,,
Will message u later,,,,!!💗
And it's my birthday next Monday,,,So perfect timing,,,,Love
Love all UR Socks,,,You are the second crazy sock lady,,,!!
Seeing UR blanket finished makes me want to get mine out again this week,,,,Going to be hot this week here too,,,,
Bring on fall!!!
Love all UR heel flap and turns,,,,

I'm loving your penguono! I'm also curious to know since you've become a heel flap and gusset convert, how you would do trying out double pointed needles? I always hated dpns till I tried them for summer sock camp once, then I was hooked. 😆
The only time in my life I ever had a migraine was when I was a kid maybe 9 or 10 years old. It was a debilitating 2 days. Then the next day, I was perfectly fine and went to a water park with my friends. It was the weirdest thing. So your description reminded me of that time. Glad I've never had another one... 🤞
I love your green Penguono and now you'll have a green Geogradient shawl to go with it. Wear them together and you'll be so GREEN! I decided I have yarn for one but I have to wait until I have time to cast on. I'm itching to do it but I know with the MKAL coming up I should wait.
I need that Spells FW skein. I wonder if she has extras? Hmmm.
After seeing your green yarn from knit picks (was binge catching up on episodes) and you mentioned getting them for the west mkal…I got right on and did it. It was 20% off plus got a 15% off coupon..so cheaper to buy the sets than ay other option I looked at and now I have choices💓 thanks for the idea🙃 I wasn’t going to do the mkal (as I am still trying to finish last years) but he said gradient😮😍 are you doing it?
Lol, after seeing someone else comment I realised you are doing the mkal with the greens so I went back to rewatch. First time around I was cooking and must have been too involved in that and missed what you said🤣
Yep! I’m doing the MKAL! 😂
@@knitalltheyarnpodcast5512 also, I am super impressed with your venturing out to learn and like heel flap and gusset!
Thank you!
What cast on do you do for your socks? I've been doing the German twisted cast on and am not thrilled with it.
I use the long tail cast on.
I have to ask😁who is Stewart?
I just decided to name my progress keeper. He looked like a Stuart. 🤣
56 minutes of this?
Some of us like long podcasts, knowing what our friends are doing, and what they have finished and what they are up to. Some of us like to elaborate and entertain. It's a fiber podcast, not a slideshow.
Don't look at older episodes, they go over an hour!! And you'd hate so many others that are close to 2 hours long!! Lord have mercy. How dare the entertainment go on too much.
How odd. I was just complaining that it always stops way too soon. 56 minutes would be a good little start for me.
@@KaySellsVA I guess us Virginia girls like them on the longer end 😂
@@lindseylemon9067 Absolutely! What part of VA are you from? I’m in Alexandria.
