One liquor store by me at this for $110 and it was not selling for a long time. They marked it down to $77 US and I just bought it. I hope the gamble paid off and I find it good. Again, I appreciate your honest reviews.
I have not had the 16 yr which has returned after being discontinued. The 3 core range bottles I've had are good. .The IB cask strength are also great. Great review
Ok ! It means that you have a scale from 0 to 18. (Beacause A+ and A- and so on) Just to understand : For instance, C- is how many in a scale from 0 to 100 ?
"Natural cask-imparted colour" sounds like Brown-Forman's lawyer-speak. Something very like (or identical to) that phrase also arose in discussions about GlenDronach a year or so ago. No, it hasn't been applied to their labels; yes, it came from the same legal team. I suppose just as they quibbled about the legal status of "non-chill filtered" given GD's pre-existing practices, and having since joined the SWA via parent company B-F, so they have also quibbled about whether cask-coloured whisky satisfies the phrase "no colour added". The very best lawyers simplify language for clarity of meaning. Others do not. Some countries have passed laws requiring simplified/clearer language from companies/contracts, which is great. I quite like Benriach 12, 46%, bourbon/sherry/port casks though can't really taste much of either of those last two per se. It's not wow but has a pleasing maple syrup and brown sugar, and then a grainy character at the end. ~42 euros locally, at least for now. One thing about past whisky prices: we look back at the numbers but often forget to also lower our incomes in those calculations--i.e. easier to think of buying up a pallet-load with today's incomes on prices from 20 years ago, but less-so back then.
the problem whith benriach whisky they are to smooth not exciting en yes the glenallachie 15 is so mutch better or the Dalwhinnie 15 Years i can buy it 41 euro wonderfull dram its alot of money vor benriach hahahh
This video could have been 3 minutes long. IMO! I don’t care what you Could have got or what it cost. I’m here for what you did buy and I don’t care how much you paid. I care if you think it tastes good. NOT what you think it’s worth. Or truly anything you think about cost. Just drink what you bought and if you can’t afford it don’t buy it.

Great review. I actually think this whisky gets better with a few drops of water even though it is only 43%.
Thanks for the tip!
Gollie…pretty darn nit picky on that coloring statement
Thx for reviewing…been curious about this
Distilleries should be transparent and to the point. Why dance around the descriptions. If it was my distillery, I would be full disclosure.
They were transparent…they used a few extra words to say the same thing as Natural Color…big deal
just make it easy - natural color and non-chill filtered -
I did never understand your notation system...
Did you taste de Knockando 15 ?
35 euros in France !
just like at school - A is the best and F is the worst
