Today (Dec.12), in SoCal... Redbreast 18 $249.99, Redbreast 21 $399.99... Beautiful whiskies at prohibitive prices. The 12 CS is a permanent resident in my whisk(e)y collection. Wonderful color and resolution with your new recorder.
Haven’t had a bottle of the 18 in 5 years, as that ship has sailed. The 12CS is amazing and about $85 here in the Midwest U.S. and I’m more than satisfied with that. Skål 🥃
At the local state owned liquor stores, the 12 cs is basically the only age stated cs European whisky I can buy at $95 and it is definitely my favorite too
The Redbreast range age statements from Ireland is the 10, 12, 15 18, 21 & 27 along side the cask strength, Cuatro Barriles, Lustau, the PX and the Tawny Port😀😁😎🤩 The Dream Cask is the 20, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32 & 38🍎🍒🍓🍅 From The Whisky Exchange in the UK is the Redbreast 16, 19, 25 & the 30🍈🍏🥝🥒 From Master of Malt is the Redbreast 16🍊🍑🍆🍄 From La Maison Du Whisky in France is the Redbreast 17, 19, 22 & 25🍇🍎🥥🌶 From America is the Redbreast Kentucky Oak and the Missouri Oak🍊🍋🍌🍍
Only Redbreast core bottle I am missing. Just not spending $225 for it. I picked up a Redbreast 27 several months ago when store did a rollback price sale for a week and paid $450 The Redbreast 21 is a crazy $289 to 430 by me. I ordered a bunch of stuff from Ireland and one was the 21 for 210 euros. So I have 2 unopened 21s and unless price comes down I am done with my favorite Irish line. Hell I got Octomore 14.1 for 138 euros
No thank you. Not at $249+ price. 21 here is USD 400+, another no thank you. I have a few Knappogue Castle 21 for whenever the urge arises. Those were all sub $200.
Yeah I wonder why RB and other 'posh' irish has shot up in price so much over the last few years. I love Pot still, but Scotch is just so much better value at this point that I can't justify it for a pleasant but way less subtle and complex whisky experience.

Hey Jason, which batch of Redbreast 21 years old you are having now, and if you find huge variances between 21yo batches or they have been consistent?
fairly consistent
Is it just me or is the audio not in sync with the video?
could be whoops

Knappogue Castle 21 is an amazing single malt.
