Thanks, Alex. Most reviews by professional journalists are usually too friendly because the motorcycle media scene is very small, everybody knows everybody, and nobody wants to sh*t in each other's backs. I fortunately am not dependent on manufacturers to receive bikes and therefore I don't need to worry about what I'm saying on here :)
There is an Indian reviewing group called 'MotorInc" that focuses on this, as they were invited to a race track for testing. They got access to a test bike during the third 'Race' at which point the front brakes were almost unusable for them, and they couldn't test the bike further. If you are interested in smaller capacity (typically A2 license) bikes you should check them out.

When you say disappointing ABS I know what you mean. Have you ridden a Victory motorcycle? If you get into the ABS it takes forever to get any braking back. Hard braking over a small bump has the ABS removing all of your braking power and is very dangerous.
Dont get why they made the bike more agile instead of stable .. thats a bit of a weird decision on ergonomically on a supposed to be supersports? Why would you do that Aprilia?
Its not overweight, they couldn't cut any weight because of a2 standards, the engine is already undertuned, will easily make 52bhp with tuning and an air filter @@ventisette.
I wish it were 4 cylinders. I'm not sure if I like "progress". Call me a luddite but I think we are at the end of the golden years - in more ways than one.
Seems like its a ninja 400 competitor, but could use some refinement of the basic electronics. The rest of the hardware get upgraded to track spec just like the ninjas.
Indeed! But at this stage I'd much prefer the current Ninja 500. That one simply works better. My time on the 400 is too long ago to make a comparative statement :)
Dont understand the hate in comments section tbh. It's got oodles of low end torque which explains the low fuel economy. Can move the bike from 3rd gear. Helps in traffic! It's got amazing tyres (keeping prices in check. India has banned import of tyres. So no more Pirellis sorry) According to Maverick Viñales, the tyres were great. Its the most powerful twin cylinder 450 that clocks 200 kph with a 75 kg human Its got all the tech, led stuff & a great tft. ABS and traction issues are just a software update from getting better... Downsides are lack of top end rush, iffy brakes and small tank of 12 ltrs imo.
Indeed, although I'm also guessing that most of the inexperienced riders would never brake that hard. But in an emergency situation it indeed can be a problem
@@Schaaf You just need to recalibrate the sytem through the menu as with all Aprilias. This proceedure anyways should be done everytime you put new tires and at least once in the midlife of the tires to keep systems working at their max. Brakes are powerfull enough to lock the tires. Its the tire loosing traction and failing to regain that keeps the system working and loosing brake power. Its common issue with all the Chinese and Indian tires. Of course for more hardcore use you can change the pads and the fluid as a second step for further improvments

Liebe Grüße 😃
Das weiß ich auch nicht, sorry
@@Schaaf danke trotzdem für die Antwort.
😃
Hernstein immer wieder ne schöne Strecke, vielleicht sieht man sich ja mal :D
Beste Teststrecke
Finally
thanks!
Welche strecke fahrst du ? das schauet aus wie a guts asfalt
@9:21 & Mxtxrinc you were misleading new something was fishy
no idea what that comment is supposed to mean
Ninja 400 and 500 or aprilia rs 457 which one is better
both Kawasakis
Guerrilla 450 pure sound when ??
can't choose the bikes I get to ride
@@Schaaf Ohh 😕
No quick shifter?
What does it look like?
@Schaaf it looks something like the rider not being lazy and doing all the shifts and rev matching with precision👌. I watched the whole video, never found you doing that lazy shift
When you say disappointing ABS I know what you mean. Have you ridden a Victory motorcycle? If you get into the ABS it takes forever to get any braking back. Hard braking over a small bump has the ABS removing all of your braking power and is very dangerous.
I haven't
Dont get why they made the bike more agile instead of stable .. thats a bit of a weird decision on ergonomically on a supposed to be supersports? Why would you do that Aprilia?
Maybe because it's a beginner's bike, not a supersport
It’s overweight. Agility is fine, the problem besides the weight is the riding position which is completely wrong for a sports bike.
because it is aimed at beginners and they mostly prefer a bike that's agile
Its not overweight, they couldn't cut any weight because of a2 standards, the engine is already undertuned, will easily make 52bhp with tuning and an air filter @@ventisette.
Top moto ever
Cool
any tips on getting that crips audio??

@@Schaaf ahem

I wish it were 4 cylinders. I'm not sure if I like "progress". Call me a luddite but I think we are at the end of the golden years - in more ways than one.
We've passed the golden years ;)
Seems like its a ninja 400 competitor, but could use some refinement of the basic electronics. The rest of the hardware get upgraded to track spec just like the ninjas.
Indeed! But at this stage I'd much prefer the current Ninja 500. That one simply works better. My time on the 400 is too long ago to make a comparative statement :)
@@SchaafZX4R or RR would be nice!
Can you turn ABS off?
Good question, probably not completely, I think that's forbidden by EU law
Wie ist die Bodenfreiheit bei der RS457, Aprilia hat mal wieder keine Daten dazu angegeben.
How do you have so many motorcycles?
you're a pretty naive person if you think that I own any of these lol
@@Schaaf "I don't think they're yours, I'm just asking how you get them, maybe from friends or you have a store
You must be on level 4 traction control
Would be the first 457 in the world with multi level ABS lol
@Schaaf my bad I was talking about traction control, but you look like a smart intellectual so you might have figured it out
1:30 bro’a heart stopped
my heart doesn't stop when going for something this well calculated
Oh was that on purpose?
Dont understand the hate in comments section tbh.
It's got oodles of low end torque which explains the low fuel economy. Can move the bike from 3rd gear. Helps in traffic!
It's got amazing tyres (keeping prices in check. India has banned import of tyres. So no more Pirellis sorry) According to Maverick Viñales, the tyres were great.
Its the most powerful twin cylinder 450 that clocks 200 kph with a 75 kg human
Its got all the tech, led stuff & a great tft.
ABS and traction issues are just a software update from getting better...
Downsides are lack of top end rush, iffy brakes and small tank of 12 ltrs imo.
Hahahaha Vinales said the tires were great is the most hilarious justification I've ever heard
@@Schaaf i must have missed the European sarcasm 🥲
@@varun1036bro maverick is aprilia's motogp racer..so if he doesn't..who else will praise aprilia
Tires are not cheap. The brand is new but it offers greater performance than Michelin road 5 and metzeler M5 and some other similarity priced tires
:D :D :D
Looks like there's a lot of throttle lag.
Throttle response is great
You had me worried for a second in that corner, Schööfl. I think an inexperienced rider may well have dropped it or overshot in that situation.
Indeed, although I'm also guessing that most of the inexperienced riders would never brake that hard. But in an emergency situation it indeed can be a problem
7k???
Ok
@@Schaaf That's expensive af for a slightly nicer R3.
Wait the R125 costs 6k atm lmao.
What are we living in smh..
Change the tires and the braking issue will mostly go away
No idea how that affects the electronic controls
@@Schaaf You just need to recalibrate the sytem through the menu as with all Aprilias. This proceedure anyways should be done everytime you put new tires and at least once in the midlife of the tires to keep systems working at their max. Brakes are powerfull enough to lock the tires. Its the tire loosing traction and failing to regain that keeps the system working and loosing brake power. Its common issue with all the Chinese and Indian tires. Of course for more hardcore use you can change the pads and the fluid as a second step for further improvments
ich habe Dir ne Daumen hoch gegeben, villeicht kannst Du für neue Handschuche nutzen :)
Eher nicht so, trotzdem danke :D
@@Schaaf Gern geschechen ;)
Ohh those downshifts...
Thanks
Amazing bike overall, you just gotta swap the brakes out
Yup
I understand that feeling, it is the feeling of a slow rider 💀
cool story bro
Sound Like a RS 660
Thanks
Usually Aprilia's sound great, this one doesn't actually. So I hope for all our indian friends the price of the RS457 comes out right since it really needs an aftermarket exhaust.
Compared to the other A2 twins it sounds much better actually
yay
thanks
