You gotta try designing an encounter with the Slide Rock Bolter, a gigantic whale that was first spotted by miners in the 1800s who claimed to have witnessed this beast eat anything that came into its path. With its sharp teeth, piercing hooks, and ability to quickly slide down the mountainside, the killer Bolter is believed to be behind missing hikers and tourists though it’s never been proven. I’d love to see you design this cryptid Boylei Hobby as it would fit into your Wild West :3
I have that exact centipede mini!!! it's cool seeing it in one of your videos event though that thing was a nightmare to paint. yours turned out great!!! very centipede-y
IDEA: Design a steampunk train which hangs off of it’s rails and look to Oddworld’s trains for inspiration. Make it into a massive battle aboard the train between military garrison and armed hijackers, who are using a small combat mech to attack the train.
I just love how immersive your Wild West is! I always wondered how Indians would fit into this world. They have to be an extremely hardy people to live in a land that took America much longer to inhabit then in our world. I don't know any, but maybe there are some cool Indian legends that you could use for a diorama. Also, I still want you to do a diorama with an erupting geyser.
I’m a little late to comment but I have a video suggestion: an Avatar (blue people) diorama I feel like you would do great at making the forest and trees!
I have a question how long have you been doing this for cos you seem like it professional and you are very good at this also that grass that you put on it makes everything😊 and you are very good at doing this so thank you for making videos 2:40
I wonder if the various native peoples of the imaginary west have come up with different ways of dealing with the oversized fauna native to the region. Do some creatures have specific cultural value? Are there ‘low tech’ ways to achieve what the monster-warding European machines do? This one really tickled my brain :)
I always love the little exchanges between the monsters and people in these dioramas. The chorus of "It was three." made me literally laugh out loud. Great work as always!
“…and now the word static has no meaning to me”. 😂Creepiest Wild West monster yet imo, but looks like it met its match! And the visual components of the final build are so pleasing and compelling. Great job!!
Impressive; both the idea, and the execution! And don't be too hard on yourself for the spartan look of the teepees. If this group of warriors are monster hunters, it kind of makes sense that their mobile camp would be plain and simple, rather than richly decorated in the manner of a more permanent encampment. And thanks for that sneak-peek of next week's project - it looks especially intriguing . . . .
are there any personal rules that you follow when deciding what creatures to put in, and not put into this world? or is it just whatever you're feeling?
Hey Boylei, looks fantastic as always, love the little teaser for next week! 👍🏻 Also wondering if you have a P.O. Box or something similar if people want to send you stuff?
Thanks for another great video, Boylei! Your work is always inspiring and pushing me to make cooler things. Your Weird West videos are always so intriguing, it's very cool to visualize a battle with a giant centipede of all things. Keep up the inspiring work!
My boys and I discovered you channel at the beginning of March. Joseph is 4 and Samuel is 3. We have watched almost all of your videos. We have about 10 left. Joseph has been building models and dioramas this whole time. Thank you for inspiring my little artist.
I'd love to see a old fort, maybe a town expansion, with a stockade and some trading setups! Would really be cool, since those old forts are such a staple of the west.
Neat concept. I do agree the camp layout leaves something to be desired and the trees don't quite look like Colorado trees to me, but otherwise really nice work! I really like the way you did the grass and pineneedle buildup with the flock!
Man loving all of the videos of your monster world but I think you need a farmhouse and barn maybe a windmill and a homestead family protecting there farm from monsters
Awesome- have been closely observing my own giant centipede that sits on my desk in a large display tank, for the last few months, so this diorama really ticks boxes for me! Now I’m thinking of new possible tank ‘decorations’ to give a new theme to the setting 😂
Story: in 1873 Oklahoma, a hunting party of 11 American Hunters and 15 Choctaw natives where hunting in Sliders Forrest Lead by Sgt. Forrest Russell and Wolff Reds. On the 5th day of the hunt Reds party was attacked by the Sliders Forrest Centipede, Russell's party was busy fighting the Sliders Forrest bear. so, the Choctaw had to fight.
I Would Like To See A Diorama With Something Like A Pack Of Giant Wolves Surrounding A Wagon Train. Perhaps They Have Already Taken Down One Of The Oxen Or Horses. Idk Just An Idea.
From the Journal of Kent Larsson, Swedish Immigrant, and Professional Monster Hunter, Entry the 17th of July, 1792. Dear journal. It has been a harsh summer, the heat scorching much of the lands of southern Colorado. Much of the plant life and wildlife was less available than normal. Much of the wildlife and big game go to the rivers and lower valleys for shade. Thus the hungry megafaunas of the woodlands were moving out of the shade and cover of the sparse woods and caves to hunt during daylight rather than night. Many people and animals were attacked by various normally night-dwelling predators. This is prime time for hunters like myself. I have managed to hunt down two sabertooth, three terror birds, four giant eagles, and four giant rattlesnakes with my team, only lost one of them. Poor Duglas was a big fool, but a good hunter and father. God, why did he think it was a good idea to distract the snake with dynamite? I cannot for the life of me find an answer. His funeral is tomorrow, he left his family too early. But at least they will live well with the money he saved for them. They can move to a less dangerous region. Even with us hunters, this summer heat has brought out more danger than we hunters, the townsfolks, or the local people can handle. Heard that several of the various clans in the region were attacked as well. I even saw the aftermath of one attack when I was going to the camp to trade some of my supplies for some medical herbs and tobacco. Big critter. It was a well-known critter too. Locally called Big Crawlers, or Monster Centipedes. Big nasty thing. I knew about them too as I like to be prepared and get books every now and then from the Monster Emporium. I read about the big thing after I got home, I had not seen anything like it before. They have a scientific name for them, Scolopendra Monstrum. But are commonly referred to as Giant Monster Centipedes, though the words used locally are simply Big Crawlers or Monster Centipedes. The locals apparently call them something that translates to Terror Legs, a fitting name if you ask me. These long freaky things can grow to immense size, with the largest being recorded as having reached 30ft in length. Highly aggressive and known for having some nasty poison. Them Giant Monster Centipedes are capable climbers, ambushers, and some variations have been said to spit their poison like you would spit a loogie, but up to five yards away. Normally they only hunt at night but the scarcity of food had driven them to start hunting by daylight to catch less cautious prey. The native tribes of the region are used to the dangers of these giant arthropods but this summer heat had surprised them as well. They lost two or three horses to that thing. It had apparently come and attacked them three times. Each time managing to escape with a dead horse in its maw. It must have been very hungry since it came back after two days after each horse. They were more prepared by the last attempt by the bugger and managed to encircle it and keep it from reaching the horses and just running. Frankly amazed it didn't just try to eat them, but apparently, it has a taste for horse meat. They kept distracting the thing by riding around it and throwing spears and shooting arrows at it until it was still enough for one of them to climb up on its back and straddle the thing. The young warrior then proceeded to rapidly stab its neck until it died while it tried to trash him off. Heard the guy is gonna earn himself a bit of fame from that daring move of his. I made sure to give them a small can of coffee and some nice dried plums as a gift after I finished my trade, wishing them good fortune and hoping there will be less of those things around. After Douglas' funeral, I will need to prepare for another hunt. There have been reports of something dangerous coming down from the mountains. I do not know what creature it could be. Some people describe it as a rock-eating and land-swimming whale. Others describe it as some kind of cyclopean yeti or big foot wielding a big nasty club. I am not sure which one I like less. But I hope it isn't what I fear it is. I did hear from my cousin in New York that sightings of Lindwyrms in Florida had been reported by the newspapers. God those things are nasty enough back home in Sweden but they will no doubt thrive here with the heat waves we get. That's it for today's entry. I will finish my dinner, prepare the herbs, and go to bed. (End of Entry) And that is my little story contribution there. Amazing story and diorama as always. If anyone is curious about what a Lindwyrm is check out this link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindworm, or just type it up on youtube or Google.
You live in Colorado and THINK you don't have centipedes. Go into your basement or garage in the middle of the night with a flashlight - you'll find at least one. If you're lucky, it will be a House Centipede (long tan or yellowish hair and alarmingly fast moving) or the garden variety that looks like a cheap novelty bug. The former is actually beneficial as it keeps your house relatively insect free, but both have a venomous bite and do not make good pets.
For a fleeting moment I thought you might be using Studsons' Horse Centipede as your imaginary monster. I'm just saying... It would be a heck of a collab.
@Boylei_Hobby_Time , I was curious to know what the name of the music playing that sets in around the @7:00 mark, would really appreciate it if your, or anyone here in the comment section could point me to it :) thank you in advanced those who would answer !
In front of the diorama, where the way goes down, it would be perfect for a little water (epoxy) part like an edge of a lake or river. Not too much, just a few centimeter.
I love the wild imaginary west and it’s weird intricacies. What strategies did the First Nations (Canadian term for native Americans) develop to combat, or possibly make use of the various monsters, did they have a place in their cultures like the Raven (among other examples which don’t come to mind?)

Did you perhaps hear about this from Bob on Distractible
Sounds like a fun episode of boylei hobby time!
I just looked it up and that would be awesome. He'd definitely nail that diorama.
I hate it when that happens
Wasn't it a giant fish?
It's phenomenal to watch this project slowly reach completion throughout the video
what a tease, looking forward to seeing next week now!
I love the litte details so mich ❤❤. Your Dioramas are so beautiful and the wil imaginary west is so cool.
Wow! That looks amazing.
Another masterpiece, thanks for sharing!
Loving this project! And also your placement of the teepees are correct, love to see my fellow people receiving the spotlight 💕
it aways pleases me to wake up every sunday and watch a new video of yours. :)
Sneak peek! Cant wait for next weeks.
Once again an amazing job, and I’d love to see more battle-type dioramas like this one!
Yay! Wild Imaginary West! It's been too long. More please!
OH BOYLEI! IT'S HOBBY TIME!
3:23 “no, that’s next weeks project.”🤣
I have that exact centipede mini!!! it's cool seeing it in one of your videos event though that thing was a nightmare to paint. yours turned out great!!! very centipede-y
I loved this. I think having a battle with an ant colony would be an interesting idea.
STATICfying! well done!
As soon as I saw you had uploaded I knew it was going to be a good day! Love the Wild Imaginary West! Can't wait for more.
Really cool tease of next week’s project. Keep it up 👍
Excellent work as always
Awesome job and I like the sneak peak into next weeks project 😂
IDEA:
Design a steampunk train which hangs off of it’s rails and look to Oddworld’s trains for inspiration. Make it into a massive battle aboard the train between military garrison and armed hijackers, who are using a small combat mech to attack the train.
would you ever make a video going back on old projects and touching them up/revisiting them to make them better?
Always love your work you are so talented 👏
id love to see your take on a volcano erupting as the villagers down below run in terror!
Beautiful as always!
Gotta give it up for the comanche on top of the centipede. He gives zero F's.
I was expecting a little scream when you put the warrior on the horse. Because of the metal rod. Because of the position of the rod.
I screamed for them…
“It was three” LOL
Would love to see a cyberpunk diorama, not sure if you have done one?
Amazing video bro

Hi love your vids you have inspired me and can you make a Harry Potter diorama.
You should do Custers last stand!
make a larger battle in the wild west with airship tanks robots and soldier with gun
Bravo 🙌🏽
Yep
I’m a little late to comment but I have a video suggestion: an Avatar (blue people) diorama I feel like you would do great at making the forest and trees!
mmmm roast centipede for tea XD
Nice
wait! what's next week's project?!
You are so talented I wish I will be You when I'm older
it was three horses!!
I am VERY MUCH enjoying the dialogues he has been adding to the videos!!!
Where do you keep all your progects?
You should try and make something from age of empires 2 one of my favourite games
I have a question how long have you been doing this for cos you seem like it professional and you are very good at this also that grass that you put on it makes everything😊 and you are very good at doing this so thank you for making videos 2:40
coffee time again
Now, if the Centipede had a light sabre.....
HE LIVES IN COLORDO i live in colorado to and were i live we have prety big sentipeds
u should make a custom funko pop
Your next video with trees should have some that are almost fallen down on some other trees
It was three horses dave. Three.
I feel like this guy would like dredge

That method of horseback looks painful, but it's still less of a pain in the a** than dealing with the airlines.
I always love the little exchanges between the monsters and people in these dioramas. The chorus of "It was three." made me literally laugh out loud. Great work as always!

I noticed the guy sitting casualy on back of giant centipede and I was like, yeah, sure, there is always one of this kind in the tribe.
Hey Boylei, looks fantastic as always, love the little teaser for next week! 👍🏻 Also wondering if you have a P.O. Box or something similar if people want to send you stuff?
Wow, that centipede looks alive. The coloring is perfect!
You should do an encounter with some people catching crawfish in a pond with a giant crawfish attacking them.
Thanks for another great video, Boylei! Your work is always inspiring and pushing me to make cooler things. Your Weird West videos are always so intriguing, it's very cool to visualize a battle with a giant centipede of all things. Keep up the inspiring work!
This is really cool, love this one. The terrain is amazing as always.
Great video, as usual :-) Love the imaginary west!!
You should do one with big wagon train and a giant monster 👍
or some rich guy's train carrying a massive aquarium with some very rare sea creature?
yessssss
@@ladahieno2382 Amazing idea
@@ladahieno2382 yes good
Very cool diorama build. The centipede is legit creepy. I love the final battle setup with the warrior up top. Great stuff.
Quick question boylei, what do you do with the finished products. Do you keep them somewhere or do you do something else with them? Great vid btw
My boys and I discovered you channel at the beginning of March. Joseph is 4 and Samuel is 3. We have watched almost all of your videos. We have about 10 left. Joseph has been building models and dioramas this whole time. Thank you for inspiring my little artist.
Nice tease for next week...
Wow, that looks fantastic! Can’t believe how creative you are and maintain to be
I love the little conversation they had 😂
Great build and vid
These are amazing. The details, the backstory, absolutely stunning
I'd love to see a old fort, maybe a town expansion, with a stockade and some trading setups! Would really be cool, since those old forts are such a staple of the west.
Just realized I haven't subscribed yet! What have I been thinking!?

I don’t know much about teepees either, but I do know they are usually placed higher up for a better view of anything that needs to be seen.
Your videos are getting progressively funnier, buddy. Also f*ck them centipedes!
I love those tipi's.. Awesome work bro 👍🏼

How would you think of a mech falling off a cliff, or a waterfall with a mech crossing? Love the content you make, and inspire me!
By the way, are you sick? Your voice sounds odd

"It was two," "It was three" x20 broke me. Well played
Neat!
Hey! Remember when you did the Falcon 9? It would be really cool to do a space colony or something along that, lots of room for freedom!
You can always go back and add some artwork and weathering to the teepees!
But I do love this diorama!!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
As someone who’s terrified of centipedes (house centipedes) I find this to be great
"...paint the sides of the diorama with a matte black..."
What happened to Black 3.0!? We demand answers!

I have been watching this man religiously for about a week and now I hear “Watered down glue and isopropyl alcohol” in my sleep.
