      It did especially the ripping part where you can grab it and pull it off once you cut most of the way down

    Just curious, when you catch those guys do you toss them in the cooler right away while still alive?

    • @wendtoutdoors
      @wendtoutdoors  4 місяці тому

      I keep them in my livewell with the water circulating. Then on ice before i clean them. Can get warm fast.

    I like this except, I would ice them down first, and would scale them, leaving the skin on for extra flavor 😊

    Whats limit on bluegills in wisconsin. Nice video

    • @wendtoutdoors
      @wendtoutdoors  Рік тому +1

      25 per person per day with a possession limit of 50. I think some smaller lakes might have less of a limit.
      Thanks!

    Your method is pretty cool, but please kill the fishes before you starting to filet them. For me it is very cruel to see this. In Germany we have very strict laws for that.
    Greetings from the other side of the world.

    • @wendtoutdoors
      @wendtoutdoors  Рік тому +3

      Yeah you are right. I probably shouldn't show that. I keep them alive as long as possible. Warm water and warm weather make the fish spoil extremely fast. I dump ice on them immediately after dumping them. Dump more ice on them while cleaning them. Crazy how fast they can go bad.
      Thats the amazing thing about UA-cam. Creating relationships around the world with a few clicks!! Thanks for watching!!

      @@wendtoutdoors funny, there was a day that wouldn't have bothered me at all. as I get to be an old man these things have more of an affect on me. so just last night my son was up (Upstate NY) and we decided to catch a few Bluegill in our pond and try to grill them. So there I was ready to filet them alive......and I couldn't do it. but my son made sure they were un-alived for the venture. I wasn't too good....a sharp filet knife would have help....but got some filets out of them. wish I saw this video prior!

  • @arlenebasten9624

      What is wrong with them keeping the fish? Wait you must be one of those that thinks everyone must release everything they catch. Besides amount they keep being legal there is nothing wrong with it.
