Nice to see the arcade version finally get re-released. It's pretty much proto-Psikyo, and it's actually more accessible than most Psikyo games as the difficulty isn't that crazy, though the last stage is pretty hard. The SFC/SNES version is very close to the arcade version BTW, even if the graphics are a bit meh by SNES standards.
Hey, Psy! I recall the final stages of AF2 and AF3 being pretty wild times as well. Definitely agree that the Psikyo titles ramp things up quite a bit compared to this series.
I was thinking the very same thing - the Psikyo shooters are my favourites, and this immediately felt as nice to play as they do. Just very tactile feeling to the shooting and sound fx.
Yeah, my first sit-down with the game. It was more or less me playing in a reaction-based manner since I wasn't aware of what would happen as I progressed. Thanks for jumping in! The whole series is good times.
I haven't specifically checked this version as I didn't hit up the 2nd player slot at all, but as long as they didn't axe this from the original, yes - Aero Fighters has 4 playable characters per player - but restricted to either p1 or p2.
I had this on my old SNES before it got crazy expensive kinda regret getting rid of my system but glad to see this on Switch it was a no brainer i get it since i have 2 and 3 and $7.99 compared to the i believe $1.000 for a physical SNES copy hope all is well Dace!
They could probably even just release a bunch of volumes including all of them, since that'd be a pretty awesome collection to have as well! Thanks for dropping by!
@@Shmuptopia A volumed set would be smart - though I'm betting that the rights gathering would/is a reason why this hasn't happened. Still, one can hope!
Hey there, thanks for checking this out. Yeah, that’s always intentional in my videos. I’m not sure if it’s identical or if there would have been slight changes for one reason or another. There’s a channel that will often sample the first ten minutes of Switch games, though I don’t recall the name and have no idea if this title has been done yet but I’d imagine there are also others who do this sort of thing so that may provide a better idea. Have a stellar weekend!
@@Shmuptopia Hey there! I checked out with a friend. The OST in the Arcade version you played is COMPLETELY different from the SNES console version. This is actually the sole reason I'm not buying cause I rather wait for a SNES port like they did with Bust-A-Move and it's not the same hype shooting without the original soundtrack I remember, you know? Thanks for replying too!

Can anyone tell me if this game has the same OST from SNES? The HAMSTER trailer played a song that I have no recollection of it
I've played this game in an emulator a bit, it's fun.
Your routing is really good, that was your first try?!

Sup boss. So in this game we got 8 characters?!

Hey John! Thanks for swinging by. Yeah, I'm glad this hit Switch and has greater accessibility now. Have a stellar week!
@@Shmuptopia you as well keep pew pewing brother
Will this get aphysical releas??
It's highly unlikely, but it'd be neat if we did or even a collection.
We reallly need a physical collection of the best ACA shooters.

Such a great series
Hey there, thanks for watching. Yeah, they are fun games that offer a solid challenge despite not being as demanding as some from the early ‘90s.
Can you tell me if the soundtrack is the same from the SNES version? With no offense, but I couldn't hear the game while you speak 😕
