What Reason is missing is a RE / Player device with e.g. 12 x 12 grid, where each grid pad would trigger specific pattern in players (e.g. like Pattern Mutator, or Drum Sequencer) or sequencer devices (like Matrix, or Propulsion, or Korde), so that one could perform a full arrangement without having nothing in the arranger. Obviously, the triggers would be synchronized like in Live / Bitwig, so everything plays in time. The beauty of this is that such players / sequencers can trigger anything - synths, drum machines, samples, even FX. I'm afraid it wouldn't work though, because most of such devices do not expose the pattern number or pattern start to CV control :(

Thanks! I use it both ways, depends on my mode. I use the Arturia Minilab 3 and Akai APC40 MK2 as midi controllers
