Jacob: I hope I don't get demonetized for showing this. Also Jacob: doesn't stop showing it. 😂😂The Dinosaur Diamond road trip absolutely needs to be a thing. I was a little surprised when there wasn't a taxidermy display of Mike the headless chicken. Either real or fake, I thought that was something someone would have had. And I think that long tunnel at the end was the Eisenhower tunnel, as I understand it, it's one of the longest tunnels in America. Safe travels buddy.
Through long tunnels..........through the snow...............constant travails through all your long travels.........just to keep us entertained! Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU!
Whoever did the voiceover for that dinosaur has a career path as a deathcore singer. ...and if you haven't seen that dude karaoke singing Vanessa Carlson - A Thousand Miles as deathcore... it's pretty funny.
Fruita is a massive mountain biking community and it's near Rabbit Valley, a popular place to find dinosaur bones. (That raptor display was a lot cooler when they used to move 😉) And I think the travel trailers are representative of the travelers and campers and tourists that pass through.
I'll be heading into Colorado the 25th of march myself! I'm excited and can't wait to explore around. love seeing your videos and your adventures to so many fun places!!
What an interesting little town Fruita is. Their dinosaur exhibit was very different from what we usually see. Mike the headless chicken is quite the tale. The Western museum was certainly worth the visit with the story of the Colorado cannibal That dinosaur diamond trip would be interesting at a later date.. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
Welcome back to Colorado!!! Haha I use to go to the Dino museum all the time in Fruita. Haha they still have the bloody Dino, hilarious!😂😂😂😂😂. That museum is looking so rough now 🙈🙈🙈 Loved it! Too bad Casa Bonita isn’t open yet, but come back in the summer and it will be (May 2023). Hope you’re doing well and safe travels!
"What's that, like a spark plug or something?" :D Yes, Jacob, one of the few instantly recognizable, can't-be-mistaken-for-anything-else items on there, actually. Heh heh. ;) Anyway, great video. Nice recounting of the Mike story. I've long been interested in it too. One of those-one-in-a-million things!
Funny thing about Utahraptor - it was actually described after the original Jurassic Park movie came out, later in 1993. The film's Velociraptors (and the original Michael Crichton novel's) were based on Deinonychus antirrhopus - which is why they discover a skeleton of 'Velociraptor' in North America rather than Asia. This was because Michael Crichton used Gregory S. Paul's book, "Predatory Dinosaurs of The World," to do much of his research for the Jurassic Park novel - At the time, Paul lumped the genus Deinonychus into Velociraptor, as a second species, Velociraptor antirrhopus. This mistake then carried over to the film adaptation and its later sequels. However, the Jurassic Park iteration of Velociraptor is still slightly oversized for Deinonychus, and about the correct size for Utahraptor - almost as if the filmmakers predicted the new genus, in a way.
The Utahraptor is my favorite dinosaur! It seems like that model is showing its hunting strategy in action. It uses its massive talons to grasp onto its prey, and lets the hands and jaws do the rest. An impressive animal that I wouldn't wanna be on the receiving end of
I think the head rip display is a dressed up version of an animatronic I saw in the Dallas zoo back in the 90’s. As I recall the raptor didn’t have feathers and he bobbed his head up and down (with the other head in his mouth)
The University of Colorado named their new cafeteria the Alfred Packer Cafe until a history professor there mentioned Packer's connection to cannibalism at which point the facility was quickly renamed. This faux pas is memorialized in the song, "The Alfred Packer Cafe," by Commander Cody.
that museum sure had some amazing displays, it's amazing that a headless poultry could get such a cult following. Enjoy the rest of your time in Colorado!
I like how Jacob is desperately trying to keep his composure while he is playing with the little dinosaur feet and saying "stomp,.. stomp,.. stomp" in a shaky uneasy tone
I lived in Fruita Now in Rifle! Enjoy Colorado I worked @ the egg processing plant in Fuita and Mike the headless chicken was a big part of the plant😂 Big festival for him in the summer Love your adventures
If some super rare chickens can live for months or years with no head, and birds are super close relatives of Dino's, does that mean that maybe some dinosaurs could have lived with no head?🤔🌋☄️🐉🦖🦕🐢🐊🐍🦎🐲🤔🐓🐔🤔
Hey Jacob back in 1994 my family were here in Denver Colorado we seen the dinosaur 🦖🦕 museum that's been remodeled at that time, my dad been there in the 1960s when he was traveling back then, he told us how it's has change since then. It's a huge museum of Egyptian and dinosaurs attractions, they have a room were the workers that you can see them working on the bones clean them up or they are studying stuff. Thanks for sharing this video today, it's awesome 👍📸
If you're going through Kansas on your way back, you must stop by the Sternberg Museum of Natural History in Hayes. There's dioramas, dinosaur animatronics, and live animals.
My inner Child is obsessed with Dinosaurs, then again so is my adult psyche LOL At least we have birds to ponder at and watch. Colorado and Utah are some of the most beautiful states, Arizona and New Mexico in areas too. 28:31 I have Seen Artifacts more authentic looking than that on the Indiana Jones Ride at Disneyland LOL
I have some of those snail (gastropods) fossils. As well as a mossosaur tooth I found at my brother's house here in Mississippi. I love your museum videos
That I'm aware of (when I visited for my first and only time a while back.... The caravan(is the uk term for camping trailers etc) connection is owing to Fruita, and its campground being the only developed one within the capitol reef national park.
Fruita Colorado is my home town. I live in Grand Juncton. The town has nothing to do with travel trailers except for the fact that Fruita is a tourist town.
Back in the 70's Super Jock Larry Lujack and LiL Tommy had a morning show on WLS in Chicago called Animal Stories. They did a bit on Mike the headless chicken and it was hilarious. Their whole Animal Stories albums are here on UA-cam, you might get a kick out of listening to them.
Jacob, Since Easter is coming up and you are of Czech ancestry, you also might stop in Wilson, the Czech Capital of Kansas, which has the world's largest Easter egg.
It appears that the dilophosaurus needs some repairs to its lower jaw with the material around it. Definitely needs to be fixed. Or technically restored.
I've been going to that dinosaur museum since I was a kid (also Been OBSESSED with animatronics since then too), Honestly It hurts to go now because all lot of those damaged animatronics were running and lookin well when I was young, so It physically Pains me to see animatronics like this get to such a horrible state. I remember my last visit, I was Sad the entire time because most of the animatronics I enjoyed so much are well.. Not moving or falling apart.
That's one hell of a story about the chicken. I find it easier to believe that the man just kept chopping heads off of new chickens.
This is, actually, a true story. It was documented at the time.
Actually true, my grandparents had a turkey farm and had one stay moving around for 3 day's
That chicken knew how to stay ahead
Did anyone else notice how he keeps this channel so clean and experience for kids?
Him and half asleep chris.
Not Jacob saying "stomp" while making dino tracks 😂😂

Ah my home State!! You're making me home sick. Mike the headless chicken!! It's about time someone took a moment for Mike !! ❤❤❤❤❤
I live in this area, and its really cool to look at it from a traveler's perspective. Drive safely through the mountains.
Best episode ever. Loved the “Hairstream” and the “Mike the Chicken” stuff.
Thanks sir.
Through long tunnels..........through the snow...............constant travails through all your long travels.........just to keep us entertained! Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU!
You went the distance for that "Alasaurus" joke!!! Very nice on the Paul Simon song!! LOL
Yay! Thank youuu!
Jacob that museum bit was HILARIOUS!! Every part of it start to finish was peak comedy I was dying from laughing so hard
np

Thanks Jacob. The museum was very interesting.
Love the western museum.

17:22 Looking like the Arcade release of Primal Rage from the 90's!

Poor Dilophosaurus needs some love. His skin is ripped under the law and wiring hanging out.

If you did the throwback carpetbagger screech I would’ve died lol
that museum sure had some amazing displays, it's amazing that a headless poultry could get such a cult following. Enjoy the rest of your time in Colorado!
Brontosaurus is back and valid.
Such an interesting video , though I’m a bit freaked out over poor old Mike 😬😄 love the dino museum too
omg.. the graphic sign, to the tiny tiny stomps has me rolllingggggg lmao
I've known a whole lot of brainless people who walk around as if they were normal.
Do you live in a hospital
That’s the truth!
I like how Jacob is desperately trying to keep his composure while he is playing with the little dinosaur feet and saying "stomp,.. stomp,.. stomp" in a shaky uneasy tone
That's a very shiny Brontosaurus 🦕
Oh wow, just finished the video. Drive safe. Getting through the Rockies is tough enough without seeing snow like that!!
Colo sounds like a great name for a soda . “ Drink Colo cola now in new zesty cherry .”
Always wanted to go to Colorado, not sure why. Anyway, thanks for taking us there!!!
That is really a cool interesting video.
Keep up the good work. Jacob take care of my friend.
I lived in Fruita Now in Rifle! Enjoy Colorado I worked @ the egg processing plant in Fuita and Mike the headless chicken was a big part of the plant😂 Big festival for him in the summer Love your adventures
Thanks for uploading new video Jacob 👍👍
That dinosaur scene is nightmare fuel for kids 😊

Cool video! Hope everything is ok with all those sirens🚒🚑🚓🚨

“DINO FATALITY”? Are you playing PRIMAL RAGE? 🦖

I asked Alexa and she said there real brontosaurus lol
That Utah Raptor was sick
The triceratops truck has FOUR horns if you think about it.
🤦♂️
I cannot believe you mentioned Cannibal the Musical. I absolutely love that movie and quote it regularly
shpadoinkle!
I love that movie too! One of my top 10 all time favorite movies! The *drunk commentary * is hilarious as well😂
Will you be going to Glenwood Caverns Amusement Park?
21:57 Was this dino on loan from the Jurassic Boat Ride?? 😅
Your just fantastic
Welcome to Jacobs Road to wrestlemania
The chicken story was sad. How did he know where he was going?
Pretty heady episode…headless chicken and headless dinosaur. I’ll just go ahead and say it, pretty fun video
Or a Tricera-Truck if you will.
🦕🦖
Glenwood springs is where Doc. Holiday took his last breath
Can never OD on dionsaurs.
The dilophosauruses sounds were way creepier than the movie😮
Love your channel ❤
The “Mike the chicken” story is horrifying. Poor guy never got a chance to really live a quality life. It’s cruel.
That poor Dilophosaurus animatronic is falling apart. It needs some TLC
The Dinosaur Diamond is now on my bucket list
Never care for Mortal Kombat
Interstate 70 from Denver to Cove Fort, Utah is on my bucket list
At xmastime the dino museum puts santa hats on the skeletons
More likely to get demonetized for singing ha ha! Rather gruesome video today! 😂
That was a very fascinating story about Mike the Headless Chicken Jake. I love these small towns and their unique history.
One time you will have to go to Virginia city in Nevada
