Talk about 2 people that were born to be together, you 2 truly love one another and it shows !!! Look forward to watching all your video,, love love the bloopers too!
Congratulations on all the things! You two have a great rapport, similar senses of humor, and similar looks! I appreciated Colin’s input: my tongue got fuzzy when I ate fresh pineapple (now I avoid it) and phone calls CAN be difficult! 😂 But his advice is spot-on. “Don’t gluten the …” is a constant refrain at our dinner table as we coach our children on keeping our main dishes safe. 3 out of 7 of us have celiac disease.
CONGRATS on moving, on the engagement and Master's, wow how incredible! thank you so much for sharing such lovely moments with us. the new place looks amazing + WOW your hair is so long! great to see you again with such a great topic Robyn! my partner is the type to chow into delicious, soft, warm bread + absentmindedly say "omg you gotta try this" before he catches himself, so I loved this video lol.
I have Hashimotos so it’s similar to celiac, I think we just have different reactions and how long being sick lasts. 😅 haven’t been horribly sick since I’ve been with my husband because he is so adamant about me taking care of myself
I’m sending this video to my hubby. Not only do I eat wheat free, but I also have 11 food allergies, so all of your suggestions are good for the allergies too.
What an awesome video, in so many ways!! It seriously warmed my heart hearing all the things Colin can do and has been doing to support you. I hope other partner's out there heed this kind and wonderful advice. :) And wowowow CONGRATS on all the things!
Congrats on your engagement!!! I need to be gluten-free and dairy free for my severe eczema but I can tolerate a little cross contam (sorry Robyn I know it’s totally not fair) I don’t currently have a partner but I do have two family members (one for digestive issues and one supporter) that are gluten-free it is amazing how nice it is to have a whole crop of family that understand and are supportive and are willing to pick restaurants that are a treat for me too. Or go to our one gluten free dairy free bake shop and get me a special treat. Thank you and Colin for all your videos they have been such a help on this journey!
I have been celiac for 10 years this February and currently live in a household of 8 people. Me, my husband, our 4 kids and my in laws. It's been a little discouraging lately just because I had a rhythm in my kitchen and house and retraining people how to keep me safe it feels like a lot for now lol. A couple of things I do is have my own butter dish everyone in the house knows its for gluten free safe only. I keep thiers on the counter and hide mine in a cupboard the same with peanut butter I have my own hidden in a tall cupboard and labeled 100 times. I have been glutened from someone using my peanut butter and not paying attention. And I was told it wasn't labeled well. So now my peanut butter has no spot on it that doesn't say " gluten fee only""if you are not mom don't use!!" I do have a dedicated toaster as well and we use parchment paper a lot too. Also I made the decision several years ago to not have any regular flour in the house at all for safety. It's just how it is.
As a father of an affected child, i once wrote him this rap years ago to cheer him up and distract him. Maybe you will like it too. Verse 1: Listen up y'all, I got a story to tell About a disease that affects the small intestine as well Celiac disease, also known as gluten intolerance It messes with the gut, causing severe reliance On a gluten-free diet, it's a daily struggle But sufferers gotta stay strong, like a muscle Chorus: Zöliakie, Zöliakie Ain't no joke, it's a reality Ain't no cure, but we can manage With a gluten-free lifestyle, we can still ravage Verse 2: Symptoms can include bloating and diarrhea But it's not just physical, it can affect ya mentally ya Depression and anxiety, it's a real struggle But we gotta stay strong, like a muscle Cross contamination is a real fear But we gotta keep on living, ain't no time for a tear Chorus: Zöliakie, Zöliakie Ain't no joke, it's a reality Ain't no cure, but we can manage With a gluten-free lifestyle, we can still ravage Verse 3: We gotta educate and raise awareness For this disease that affects so many of us Research is ongoing, but we gotta stay hopeful That one day, a cure will become possible In the meantime, we gotta live our best lives Despite the struggles, we gotta strive Chorus: Zöliakie, Zöliakie Ain't no joke, it's a reality Ain't no cure, but we can manage With a gluten-free lifestyle, we can still ravage Outro: So if you know someone with celiac disease Show them some love and give them some peace And remember, together we can make a change For a better future, without gluten exchange.
Haha. Love your acting. I’m deaf. Love your facial expression. Congrats!!!! This is a great video. I’m going to share this to everyone on my social media!
Awww, congrats Robyn & Colin. You make a nice couple. Colin it is nice to meet the man behind the camera. Robyn I enjoy your videos very much. Your courses are amazing and I am so happy to learn how to bake gf goodies from scratch. Looking forward to the pasta course, I believe I heard that one correctly ...... Cheers from Alberta!!
Congratulations! Have a question 🤔 as a ciliac, kisses are the issue with us. It begins with have you had gluten, then did you brush your teeth to well it was hours ago 😳. So what's your rules? No cross contact. We can't be the only ones. I treat it like a peanut allergy.
My partner has celiac disease and has been diagnosed since they were young, however they’ve done a really poor job of cutting gluten out of their diet. They’re often eating foods with gluten without much consideration of how it’s affecting their body, then after eating all that gluten they feel very sick and get bloated and feel terrible for over a day. I don’t know how to help encourage them to take better care of their body. I’m doing researching trying to help them to try new things but they’d rather stick with the tried and true gluten foods that they like.
Forgot to ask, how do I communicate with restaurants. What’s the best questions to ask? It’s so hard for me because I’m deaf and it makes me antisocial because of that. Staying home and cook often. But how do I handle this better for restaurants? Can you share more tips??? Where I can write it down the questions in advance?
O also if your partner has facial hair they have to make sure they are clean of crumbs before they give you a kiss!! Little kids too are crumb machines lol I taught mine tp always wipe thier face before they come snuggle and kiss me
Are you aware that some companies add gluten to soaps, makeup, shampoos, creams, etc? Check some hidden words listed on products. It's awful packaging can't do better!
What a considerate man! Congratulations on putting a ring on it!
ROBYN! Editing, jokes, advice, all EXCELLENT!
But I need MORE engagement content in the future! Wahhhh!
I laughed the entire time while watching this. It was informative and your dynamic is wonderful. Colin- you’re one of the good ones !
Talk about 2 people that were born to be together, you 2 truly love one another and it shows !!! Look forward to watching all your video,, love love the bloopers too!
Read every label every time! Yes! I check labels at the store, when I put it away at the house and when I use it. Three times. Every time!

Bread! I've spent countless amounts of money to find the right bread.

My daughter cannot use those things on her skin either.
