Unboxing Carrera Digital 132 Spirit of Speed Slot Car Racing Set

Today, we're sailing through uncharted waters! I always wanted a slot car set when I was a youngster, but since then, they've added digital tech. This set is secondhand, but only played with one time. Fingers crossed hoping it actually works!

The switch on the base of the chassis is a polarity/direction changing switch that allows you to run the cars in the opposite direction on your track. The bend in the aerial of the Pink Pig is probably the way it was made, rather than being the result of an accident whilst driving it. Get yourself a large plastic storage bin and use it to store the track pieces when not in use, and you won't have to worry about the large amount of polystyrene used in the original packaging. Yes, the digital accessories are expensive, but once you have them the functionality that they bring makes the investment worth it. Smartrace also has the ability to buy plug in software modules that replicate many of the things that occur in real racing, such as weather simulation. damage repair, etc, as well as pit stops and refuelling.
