Definitely need that seasoning the smoker video I just put mine together and am trying to prime it like the instructions say but my auger stops after 5 seconds when I press the prime button and on the instructions it says it will turn every 30 seconds mine does nothing 😢
I have some bad news. Mine did the same exact thing and I called the tech support. The auger motor was bad and the part is on a 6-8 week backorder. I told them to send it and I'd wait, but I ordered a new motor on Amazon. I'm going to try and make it work next week. You can call the tech support and they'll walk you through to see if yours is bad. It really sucks, but customer support is good. I'm wondering if they had a bad batch of motors come through production. My next video is going to be about the bad motor and hopefully the video after that is the solution I found. The only other option was to load it up in my truck and take the whole thing back to Home Depot for a refund and have a new one shipped out so I could put it together again or I could buy a $1200 Traeger...
@@RoadandReel I had a bad feeling mine was the same once I read about yours…wow 6 to 8 weeks! That’s a long time this is horrible I will be calling them tomorrow..do they make you open it up? That way I know if I have to be home since I do work and thank you for responding!
@@jonathanveronica8650 so I just opened the hopper and I could see that every time a pellet got wedged between the auger and the tunnel, the auger would stop and I could hear the motor struggling. I could break the pellet with a stick and the auger would start to spin again until another pellet got wedged. Tech support said it should break through those pellets no problem and they said it was about 7-14 days for the motor to be delivered and today they told me it was backordered. I had plans for a 19lb brisket on Thanksgiving and I had to use my old offset to do it. It sucks, but it's such a good deal and everything else feels like a solid build. I hope my Amazon retrofit works because it was only $30 and a two day delivery, but there is zero information on that modification on the Internet.
@@RoadandReel I emptied mine out and left couple pellets and it still stopped I didn’t see if they were wedged though.. that sucks I was excited to use it this weekend that’s why I wanted to season it right now I build it last Friday but haven’t had the chance to season it so when this happened it bummed me out…I’m debating the same if I should just return it and re order it because I really like it and like you said great deal! But I’m worried I return it get another one and it does the samething
@@jonathanveronica8650 I'll keep you updated and my video of it not working should be out on Sunday or Monday. If I can't make it work, I'll let you know by next week so you can take it back if you need to.

Ha, we bought a cabin on a forest service lease that had a collapsed roof and rotted floor. We had to close it up before the road closes so it's been every weekend up there doing repairs. We just got it all sealed up for winter so videos should start coming out again!

@@jonathanveronica8650 it's pretty simple if you follow Nexgrill's instructions. I had a faulty auger motor and I'm waiting on it to come in. A little disappointing, but the customer service was excellent!
