I really like the template idea for matching dowel hole locations. And that 1/8 hardware cloth is a great; I'm gonna steal that idea!! hahah!! Love to both ya'll!!

That is a true work of craftsmanship absolutely beautiful..you did a wonderful job..i can remember at my grandma's house the screen door always slamming as all us kids went in and out grandma yelling don't let that door slam..as it slammed..lol..i miss that old house

Beautiful work! love the grain of the holly, and wood dowels. I have an oak coffee table I made from pallets, it is years old already, very strong, held together with glue and dowels.

Hi Danny, I like your screen door, it is beutiful. I am going to make one out of teak wood for my neighbor and since it is going to be an expensive one becouse of wood, I will have to add double screen material like yours. I was a cabinet maker for 31years and still learning. keep on posting your projects.
Great screen, i don't have shop tools you've got, but, thinking of building my next screen door, like you said ,ones you buy are pretty flimsy.

That door turned out amazing. I love the panel at the bottom. Curious why you chose to put the hinges on the left rather that the right near the corner.

For the best result you should start tensioning in the centers, not in the corners of the screen...

Nice looking door. Great job. Why didn't you put a groove on the side pieces for the bottom Holly wood panel? Doesn't it need room to expand there as well?
