can you please advise where to acquire the micro usb component , i am unable to locate one, my only option is to buy a used whole hard drive and unsolcer the microusb component , any help would be greatful, also what pastes and release pastes did you use, thank you, this is exactly the issue i am having, i cant plug in a usb cable because that item broke off
Have same Toshiba case, I've had absolutely zero success opening it as shown with this tool (or similar). It appears so simple to remove on videos, what am I doing wrong ?? Thank you
@@marven83 Thank You !! The "tick of doom" ended up an easy fix, seems the power cord fell out of the USB hub. Once plugged back in, ticking stopped & drive was detected 😊
i have the same hard disk . and i have the SAME other one but the only diff is with the blug . so . one just like that in the video and the other one is for laptop it have SATA blug but its just exactly the same the only diff is the blug . so can i just change the covor between them ? bcs one od them have problem and i want to use the other one as laptop hard disk . anyone can help ?
disregard previous comment and request, i located the whole main board at ebay, but it would have been nice to spend only 5 or ten bucks compared to the 40 i paid for the board, i just dont trust my soldering skills honestly

I have open it with a sort of Stanley knife blade. It's important to give a little pressure on the case. Good luck!

can we buy only case of this because i found in my laptop
