Gorilla epoxy clear. Does it last for more than a week though? I'll give it a shot. I've used 2 different epoxies so far that haven't worked. I'll report back.
Diamond -Crush Ivory- they lasted for about 2 years after the repair. Not sure if it would have lasted longer, She decided they were to old and tossed them in the trash after 2 years from my repair.

So use Gorilla glue. OK. (Not impressed with the seemingly irresponsible fire-play in the beginning though).

They lasted for about 2 years, then my wife threw them away. She purchased a new pair.

I have used shoe goo with great success--giving it time to cure is important. 72 hours is not too long for some adhesives.
