This is perfect. Now this is a great video to show my friends & work colleagues why I train Heavy Duty. This video gives the information & knowledge behind the science of bodybuilding from the man who knows what he’s talking about, Mike Mentzer. Thanks Mr. Little for taking the time to put in the work on these videos to share all this wisdom with the world. Cheers
Hello Mr. Little, first of all thank you for putting this videos for us, they are a huge inspiration for me. I've doing Mike's routine since i discover your channel. My question is about the back routine, i dont have a machine like Nautilus lats machine, which ecercise would be ideal to do to isolate lats without fatige the arms? Greetings from Argentina.
Hello. Thank you very much for your post. You don’t really need to use a pullover machine in Mike’s program. In the final video he shot he had Markus use one simply because it happened to be in the gym they were filming in, and because it further explained the pre-exhaustion principle. However, most of his programs from 1996 on did not include that exercise. If you want to pre-exhaust your lats, then you can perform a straight arm pulldown on a lat machine, or a dumbbell pullover while you are lying sideways across a bench.
John can i ask you something mike said close grip bench press is better for chest i just want to know he mean in a smith machine or free weigh or both?
Mike Mentzer was very underrated. He brought thinking into bodybuilding!!!!!!
Hell, he's still ridiculously underrated by the majority. I guess you can only lead a horse to water...
He was truly exceptional human being.
Mike Mentzer has always been a hero to me and always will be!!
Thank you Jon you are a hero for keeping this information
I really been stepping it up since the new year because of your channel. Thank you my friend.
Great to hear!

He preferred doing his incline bench presses on a Smith machine for safety reasons.
@@HEAVYDUTYCOLLEGE thx
Yes, is this mike s original voice?
Yes.
Is this from mikes radio show ?
Sounds like it's AI generated voice lol, from a radio show I guess?
Definitely not AI; it is from a demo for a radio show that Mike intended to do in 1996
@@HEAVYDUTYCOLLEGE Ah, I see. Makes sense
