The White Hart, Stockbridge: Fullers Hotel Review

- Stockbridge is home away from home. I find myself there every summer during the warmer months. I’ve built fond memories in the Test Valley with great friends over the last five years fishing beautiful gin clear chalk streams.
It was here on the banks of the River Test where Frederick Halford invented modern dry fly fishing in the late 1800’s and the Houghton Club, founded in 1882 is still based in the country town and is the oldest fishing club in England.
As 2019 came to an end my four-legged companion Sedge and I made our last trip south to do a spot of winter fishing. I returned to one of my favourite places to stay, a 16th century Fullers Hotel, The White Hart in Stockbridge.
