This low-key feels like mythbusters
David Samolkin tbh highkey
Probably because he was on mythbusters
Duh
Yeah. He was a failed mythbuster, as said by william osman multiple times.
My Martha's name is mom!
mand0rk boi...😂🤣
mand0rk Martha?
Batman vs superman?
mand0rk no, your sarah's name is mom, she used to put shoes in your newspapers
mand0rk nice sniper there
Give those gauntlets to Mat from Demo Ranch and get them tested properly Demo Ranch style... :)
Vishal Srivastava DO IT
Vishal Srivastava yes
Haha I was lookin for this comment. Definitely would be cool to see how they hold up to the .50 bmg
stoleurmoney Even a Win Mag is going through those.
lol yeah u right
"comic book zone" physics have always differed a little from the real world, especially anytime someone gets super powers from radiation rather than cancer. There's also the concept of "magic" that could effect the trajectory, but the most important factor is that she'd rarely if ever stand straight on to a shot and always seems to be moving in a fashion to specifically direct the ricochet.
what about the force into the arm? You should stick some kind of force sensor behind it and shoot it again and see how much force is exerted on the arm
Well really not much, because you can imagine it can't be more than the recoil you feel in your wrist as you shoot. The reason why the bullet is lethal is because it concentrates all that energy in a small point. Spread over the area of these bracelets it wouldn't even hurt.
Sure, I guess that makes sense. I was just watching a Modern Rogue video on shooting guns and they were describing the same thing.
if you can shoot a gun with 1 hand, you can stop a bullet with 1 (armored) hand too.
Ballistic vest impacts often result in broken bones and horrid bruises.
The misconception here is that recoil force is equal to impact force, which is not true.
Recoil is dampened by the slide track, using springs and the mass of the slide to reduce and redirect the transitional force felt by the user of the firearm. Where as there is no compensation for the target, so the full impact force is felt.
While survivable, multiple shots to the forearm in a normal user would likely lead to bruised bones if not fractures. And definitely some gnarly flesh bruising.
a .22 if the metal is built good, it would not hurt that bad, but anything larger will start to hurt and if it reaches like a .308 probably could bruise or sprain the forearm. (it probably would break the gauntlet, but that beside the point)
I wasn't expecting you to use real guns, Pleasantly surprised!
I wish they used larger caliber weapons
What about the spider man webshooter project?
I'm really looking forward to that project as well but I don't think that this very basic afternoon built (give or take) and a few hours of editing will slow down the progress on the Spider-man web-shooter project that much, in all honesty !
You want spiderman, watch the hacksmith
He is posting regular projects while still working on the Spiderman project
yes I have been waiting for this video thanks so much!
I like this format of episode. Seems similar to mythbusters but could have a unique range of more videogame/comic book topics. Hope to see more like this in the future!
thanks for sticking with the MB formula except you guys are actually entertaining and sincere with your content. please keep it up I will watch this any day
You are doing amazing stuff, Allen!
Hi - "dont try this at home"
Me - "ok"
*goes outside and does the same thing as him"
Probably needs more MAAAAAAAGIC in those MAAAAAAAGICAL gauntlets :P
Thank you for the Guitar + TAB version of the theme song in the links. Great version!
I loved this experiment! Thank you for this! Would love those gauntlets!
Ah, so your channel was where I knew Sarah's from. Thanks, it's one of my favourites.
Arms from "Arms"!!!
Got to be one of my favorite channels great video.
Alan! I just saw a glimpse of you on America's got talent, what was your act?
He probably threatened to cut off the judge's hands with his lightsaber if they don't put him through!
0:09
Batman:WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME
Louis:it's his mothers name
Batman:I QUIT
I love your channel. You are my favorite youtuber
Two of my favorite enginerds. Epic video!
"dont try this at home" because i have a rifle and wood with spray painted faces, and silver plated gauntlets....
who doesnt?
Imagine not having all of those items.
Amazing work Allen! Seriously this is very interesting. Titanium will be a good alternative to steel
you can see the heat on her gauntlet which shows the amount of energy transfered from the bullet, awesome video
Excited to see this movie today!
While you are absolutely correct about ricochets being very unlikely to come back at the shooter I can tell you from personal experience that it is possible to happen given the right environment. I was shooting .22s at a bowling ball 2 weeks ago and literally heard a ricochet and got out of the way just to hear it hit the wall behind me. So I actually dodged a bullet. 😊 Anyhow keep up the good work. I love your videos videos.
I think it's important to note that Wonder Woman doesn't really hold her arm still when she deflects a bullet. She's always swinging her arm in some direction. While this may not have much of an effect on the shrapnel, it might redirect the path of the ricochet. I would suggest revisiting this with an arm you can swing.
If you welded fins sticking out from all of the welded angles (sorta like the flared fins of a radial heatsink), it might stop ricochets completely.
Really like the music!
This is so cool!!!
So would it make more sense for a shield to be concave outward, so the ricochet gets directed back at the enemy? Or would that just direct it all towards the center of the shield till it punches through?
Yes the bullets bounced off the gauntlets but my question is are those bullets as dangerous as a regular straight on bullet? On thing I know I learned and remembered from that myth busters episode is that the bullet slows down substantially or it breaks apart.
So are they actually deadly anymore?
You have to build gauntlets that have a rounded surface to get an more accurate experiment results.
Awesome video. You're forgetting her "abnormal" speed and reflexes, so I'm sure over time she could learn to ricochet the bullet wherever she wanted. Also, for another video, I'd love to see you take this concept on steroids and make almost a full body armor (in separate pieces so one could still move well in it). Perhaps with extra safety (vest/etc) have an actual person take a shot!
Wow I'm amazed that the gauntlets themselves held up so well!
Could you rig up some thing that shoots the gun from close range automatically to avoid misses?
Awesome experiment
I love this!!!

This was a great video, like a mini mythbusters episode. :)
Can you build a Frieza Soldier Energy Gauntlet. Because mostly everyone can't shoot Ki Blasts like Goku. But the Frieza Force has Gauntlets that shoot ki blasts. So would it be possibly to make a gauntlet that goes on the top of your hand/arm area that can shoot an energy blast? I'm think do something like a pulse laser, preferably yellow in color.
You should make the Wonder Woman lie detector whip
Pete Barajas it's called the lasso of truth
I swear I could remember u on AGT
Good episode!
But the thing is she moved her arms and hits them back at the enemies, normally it would hit the civilians but not since she's moving it to hit the enemies
could this result be changed by movement? kind of like a bat hitting a baseball to guide the bullet or what's left. or would it break apart too quickly
Build Captain America's Shield-recaller from age of Ultron (aka strap some powerful magnets to your arm and see from how far away you can pick it up)
I was gonna say bullets ricochet sideways and don't bounce but you already did that!
you were on America's got talent?
Mythbusters
So much better than myth busters! I hate all their faffin like animated blue prints of an obvious situation that has been previously over explained. Your awesome, I wish we were neighbors!
But something that could create a variable is in the movie the gauntlet is round and curved but in this it's more flat so could you make another video but with it curved please? Thanks and keep up what your doing!
Cprrect me if i am wrong, but would it be possible it a metal that absorbs all energy, and the bullet kust drops straight down?
RedSlime no
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction
Also lead is very brittle so any metal its hitting at high speeds (like from a gun) the lead will always fragment, bend, shatter, reflect, etc
Things like kevlar and soft body armors are good at catching the bullet because when its hit the projectile just smashes down bending out and "mushrooming" (its called that cause it looks like a mushroom when it smashes like that)
But no
No metal when strucken by a bullet will absorb all energy and make the bullet harmlessly fall to the ground
WOW I think I seen you in a clip of Americas got talent!
U are amazing!!!
Wonder Woman also flicks her arm when blocking bullets. Maybe the initial velocity of the gauntlet can further alter the ricochet?
I loved the movie! The Fighting scenes were so awesome!!
You guys should make a sowed that fold into its self
If you finish creating and testing can you colour or make the thing look good
Hey, when are you coming out with pt. 3 of real life Spider-Man tech?
I am interested if the results would be different of you consider the fact that her gauntlets are smooth round rather than ridget, also she probably was trained to be able to position the gauntlet in a way that would result in a direct 90° angle with the bullet (despite this probably not happening in the movie visually)
I am interested if the results would be different if his welds weren't trash.
I think it's important to keep in mind that shooting at metal always carries a bit of risk. Yes, in ideal conditions the bullet shouldn't just ricochet back at you, and the pattern of the splatter is predictable. BUT you might hit an irregularity on your metal plate sending splatter in unexpected directions, you could also end up damaging the target. If the bullet carves out the target material it will project it back at you in the form of splatter.
So yeah shooting metal = googles + enough distance and nobody around.
I loved the part with Adam saying "well that didn't work"
Dude! Need to do a collab with Stuff made here to test that gauntlet with a blocking bot :)
so cool
Plus she was deflecting bullets from a hundred years ago
Pistachi0 doesnt matter bullets from a hundred years ago are the same as now it all depends on calibers.
yea the only thing that would be different is bullet type Ie hollow point, full Metal jacket etc
I have a cool suggestion
if you have seen my hero academia, i think that you should make a configuration on your arm that is kinda empowers your punch and use voice recognition software (the same that you used for the harry potter duel wands) to increase the punch power based upon the different smashes (detroit smash, Texas smash, smash etc.)
5:42 "DC any other damage??"
good job my dude but you did forget to account for the movement of ww's arms as well.
You totally pulled a mythbusters on me! "3... 2... 1..." AD!!! *Shoots*
Plot twist: he's the joker trying to steal superhero powers and weapons. That's what his whole channel is, that quest! He was even wearing the joker jacket from that joker buzzer video!!! 😵
I saw you for a few seconds on America's Got Talent! How did the audition go?
YAAY Finally you posted again!(I'm notifications squad who else????)
Did i see this guy for a brief second on Americas got talent. . I think i spotted him for the beginning intro of the science Guy last night? Anybody else know what om saying?
He was in mythbusters the search and also Allen which is the youtuber, unlucky in mythbusters the search
Ok guys, let's do a bigger test with a 38 caliber... Pulls out the tiniest gun I've ever seen 😂😂😂
What did you do at America's Got Talent? Did it go well?
these gauntlets arent round though, also you wonderwoman would be able to always have to bullet land exectly in the middle of her gauntlet in such a way that it bouces exectly back froward
nah bullets don't bounce elastically except maybe if it hits at a really shallow angle. the forces involved in a head on strike immediately turn the bullet into splatter upon impact. picture more like hurling a vase against a wall.
Maybe a heavy and slow bullet fired out of a suppressed weapon? That would be the only case I can imagine where it could maybe bounce back.
so what she does is she slams the bullet so hard at the right angle then nearly the entire bullet breaks upon her gauntlet and just leaves an impact hole filled with bullet shit but some of the particle will sort of be blasted back then ...
Mhh I was going to suggest having U shaped facets on the bracelet to redirect the spatter toward the shooter. Or simply like all ballistic vests, have a rubber or fiber fabric material to catch the splatter.
+Rui Ning Wang i really like this idea of shaped facets.
arent her gauntlets made of magic metal?
great ending :D
I saw you on AGT last night (for like 5 seconds)!!! Do you think they'll air your actual audition? What was your act?!
Sarah! What a surprise!
saw u on agt!
same!
GoldenJam_ 08 what ep?
fire arms only use "clips" if it has an internal "MAGAZINE" otherwise it is a magazine. just had to add that. :)
But how do you account for the movement of her gauntlets while deflecting the bullets? Or the perfectly curved surface? Or their hyper-physical magical properties? Or comic book logic? What is life?
He seriously said the gauntlets are more iconic than the lasso
Hey saw him on America got talent but he did not post about it?
Amazing
Your amazing bro, do a time travel expirement
If you put those on Noodle, well, that'd be a force to be reckoned with.
Literally just saw Wonder Woman. Actually a good DC movie. Proud of DC for that one.
Hey Allen, is that a Taz 4?
"from this point on, don't try anything you're about to see at home"
Me from Germany: 👁👄👁
Hay i will always think of you as a myth buster
Where you on AGT? I could've sworn i saw you on it.
Hey Allen, love your channel... long time subscriber. I have to say is it really safe to assume that Wonder Woman's gauntlets are made from steel?
I recognize that cover of Wonder Woman's theme anywhere. That's Nstens1117!
Make them more rounded off so its a smooth surface. but good video
I agree: ww will be the first good dc movie (not counting any older batman movie (micheal keaton & christian bale) even though man of steel was pretty cool
"RIP Steve" yeah
Plus, if they fan out in an umbrella form, she could just do the X with her hands.
when u were on mythbusters I thought u totally were going to win
me too
