Will RODI water kill coral or stress out them when using in bansaw

RODI is fine for Zoas and LPS, but SPS will die if they come in contact with it. Buf a few polys always die during a fragging process even without RODI water

Do you suppose to use RODI when cutting coral? I thought it suppose to be saltwater.

RODI water works best because, while the blade shouldn't rust, it keeps the other components away from corrosive saltwater too.

This vs Gryphon? I'm new to saws and am considering buying one...

I think the real selling point for this saw is that it doesn't recirculate the cooling water through the saw. It's a really neat design to keep the saw itself clean and functioning as intended for years to come.

So the fact you need to wear an apron… does that mean it makes a big mess? Can you show a real demo please? Can this be used in a kitchen?

After using this saw, I wouldn't say that it creates a mess, but given that it's a wet saw, there are some small splashes here and there. I wouldn't recommend fragging corals where you prep your food, regardless of the fragging tool that you're using.

@@BulkReefSupply thanks for the reply. I have used the gryphon before in my kitchen. (I live in a studio) it didn’t get me wet, but I did make a mess from the dumping the reservoir.
