relax its on a straight line, you cant get fast on a straight line, its limited to around 180 mph which is slow for a 510 bhp car, because it s quite heavy and big. you can also find them relatively cheap nowadays, this one could EEEEEEEEEEASILY cost less than 20k pounds. you can find a decent xf r or xjr with decent mileage for around 25k pounds, its nothing special, but it will do 34 mpg on a highway. its basically a powerfully slow car
The fact that he has the confidence to max it out on the autobahn in the wet, shows you how stable and safe the car is at high speed.

@@ignacehelsen7609 it aint much to be honest, 270 kph can do a 250bhp car. what often changes is the power to weight ratio and thats where people think the stupidly obvious 'a lot of horsepower=speed' get your self a ford focus rs and it will beat this in anything. however i do love the xjr mainly because its a mad fanily car. the xfr is a bit more aggressive in style but who cares what it looks like. at the end of the day, a civic type r can get you near 290kph at 326 bhp and still have a reasonable fuel economy.

Such a great car for its time. A nice supercharged alternative to the sea of turbo charged rivals. Would be awesome if Jaguar made a modern day SVR version 🔥🔥

Jaguar is the only brand where the earlier generation is much more nicer then the later one. In my opinion the latest generation XF looks like a german car while the previous facelift looks like a boss Jaguar

I have an XFR. Had it tuned/full cat back. The thing is a beast. Can easily keep up with supercars and can handle speed.
I consider getting one, with slightly below 120k km. What about reliability, any issue I could expect, watch for?
Depends what you mean by supercar really. Also even if it can keep up, do you really mean 'easily'? Is your foot to the floor and quite frankly is theirs and how would you know?

@@dragospahontu Well, I own a 2016 Jaguar XF S (which is what Jaguar put on the market from model year 2016 to be the successor to the XFR and XFR-S) with 380 hp coming from the 3.0 L V6 engine, and I agree with you, the interior has got to be much more modern than the previous trims, but what I think Aere C is referring to is the huge loss of horsepower between model years 2015 (and before) and 2016. The XFR-S of 2013 until 2015 was quoted at 550 hp, and I sometimes dream about having the same 5.0 L V8 engine under my cat's hood!
Absolute dream car for me, the pre-facelift ones are relatively cheap and one day I hope to own one

The Jaguar 5.0 Supercharged Engine is amazingly torquey. I have one in my 2014 XJR
6:29 - I figured I'd do that one day in a C63. Ended up full lock left to save it from crashing.
i crashed this baby at 220 KMp/h. lucky it was middle of the night and just me and some audi rs on the road, nobody else. Managed to gently crash it to the rails, and made it out alive with only €2k damages. never forget those seconds i lost control tho

Wow, the acceleration in the upper speed ranges is awesome. Jaguar needs to work on the wipers though - LOL! This Jag was meant to be driven on the autobahn like this! Fabulous!
I dont think there are many people going 263kmh in that weather 😅 but you can try to start your wipers (in dry conditions ) at speeds more than 220kmh and you will see it happens to all cars.
@@borjacanobarredo3451 I have driven at 250 to 255 kmh in the rain. The wipers on our cars work fine: E400 W212 ML400 W166. Of course, I don't recommend driving so fast in the rain. 🙂

Yes doing 180-200kms in an Subaru legacy AWD in heavy rainfall not auto-bahn .single lane highway was hairy enough with the odd hydro plane around a road called the "Devils Staircase" ... I don't know if I could go back to a non AWD >>

I've got this same car here in the US, but the guy I bought the car from had the speed limiter tuned out and put a smaller supercharger pulley on it. The car has over 600 horses now and does over 180mph.
