They can't create music or themes like this in the biggest movies in the world GOW themes particularly GOW 1-2-3 are still the best themes I've ever heard
Probably because a lot of the movies that sell the most aren't made with passion and are just a product. The god of war series is filled with passion and dedication by Santa Monica Studios.
To me this game should have received the game of the year as opposed to resident evil 4, never seen a PS2 game with so much detailing and lore, every place, monster, statue, wall, monuments, sculptures, stone you find in the game is filled with solid story and reasoning which increased the impression factor, this game went in my head so deep to an extend that I dream of this world and music playing in my head for almost a month since I finished this game
I'll never get tired of saying this: The first game was supposed to be the last, and yet they put so much effort into it that here we are nineteen years later getting that great feeling we felt when we first played.
I’ve always adored the music composition of the God of War trilogy. It played a huge role in my childhood. However, lofi hip-hop is cool too. You can still listen to both lol
great choices... from such an underrated musical universe. especially the ambient part... reason is we all just love God of War for the excellent, gory & brutal gameplay, from the very begining back in 2005, and there's nothing catchy in all of these great pieces of music, somehow I call immemorable masterpieces...
I really feel like they didn’t lived up to the music hype in the new GOW series, these pieces of ambience music is what i think miss the most from the new games. They feel ominous and nostalgic to me. Amazing video, always love to listen this while walking or traveling. ❤
1:19:43 When I hear this I just feel peace, Like after a long day at work, finishing all the tasks and going home at peace, leaving behind what bothered me. Taking a seat at the living room, is the same as sitting on the throne at the end !

@@MrZimnas It's an honour to talk with you again. As for the favourite type, I do love the combat-oriented tracks, but when I'm actually playing the game. I don't really like listening to them outside the game, I find them sometimes loud. On the other hand, I LOVE the ambience tracks in the franchise. Most of them give an eerie feeling, my favourite one is "Destiny" from GoW2. They are nice for mediating. And when I actually play the game and these tracks start playing in the background, I just stop and let Kratos gaze upon the vast landscapes. I like those low-quality landscapes they put in the old games. I always find myself looking at them for so long that almost all my playthroughs of the games are 10+ hours. They always make me think what if could go there, what creatures or secrets will be hidden there? Sometimes I wish there was a remake of the old games with the same combat but better graphics and make it an open world. Maybe instead of falling on Lahkesis Temple after riding Pegasus, I would land on some small island we see in the background. Still, it's just a dream...

Chains of atlas, underwater world of poseidon, auditorium of athropos and some others like these are such a lost feeling track. I did a lot of research, but I didn't find out what that zither-like instrument would be playing in most of God of War soundtracks as it starts playing in part 0:49 and well highlighted in 2:02. Does anyone knows about? This is just curiosity of mine XD

Does anyone else think the "calm winds" track from god of war 1 just sounds outright creepy? Honestly I don't really find it calming at all it just sounds erie and sinister 🤣 are some of these tracks considered "ambient"
It does sound creepy, it gives the feeling that Athens is getting destroyed and people are dying, but you are in after the masacre happened and the streets are empty (which is the moment were that track plays), so in a way is creepy but also calm.
God of war 1 music is so nostalgic and feels so touching 😇
It's true, also personally I think it gives it a touch of mystery, unforgettable
