Truly helpful video. Working on setting up my treatment room now. My kid and I did esthetics school together this past year, and we’re going into business together with me focusing on anti-aging facials and they are a certified sugarist. Is clinical has a nice HA thats not sticky. It feels light weight. It’s called hydra cool. When purchasing an HA, I believe it should have a water light texture to absorb into the skin nicely.

Do you do friends and family discounts? I got asked by a friend about it and it’s just not something I was thinking about doing. I was thinking of just doing like a referral discount. Also what are ways that you “wow” you customers? I know of like maybe adding in a scalp massage or maybe like samples, but I was just wondering what you suggest.
How did you get started? When you first opened how did it take you to build your schedule? I just opened my doors in August, 2022 things are going slow... I wanted to the practice as faith based ... If someone does not follow Faith is not for me to judge I just want to love on them

What is included in your basic facial? What's are adds on?
Great video 😍 but now I am very overwhelmed with all the different product, brands, that you are trying. As I see $$$😁 Can you say how much do we need to save $$ for the back bar and retail products to expect to spend to have in a new business ? And can you tell like what is a good start of amount of individual products to have on hand to start up first? Oh do you not need a sink in your space to wash your hands throughout your service?

It can get pretty expensive, depending on the brand. Glymed doesn’t have a minimum order neither Skin Script. If you get 2 of each for retail and 1 of each for backbar from Skin Script it will probably cost you around $1,200-$1300 and that’s the most affordable brand. Eminence there is a minimum order of $4,500. Image has minimum around $2000 and something. Glymed can cost up to $1500-2000 (roughy). I wanted to use eminence but they are really expensive to buy and maintain monthly re-orders so instead I purchase their products on tradeshows. Some ppl purchase their products through their former spa jobs or just buy them at regular price.

Hey question on the charcoal mask. Did that pull the eyebrows?I did that...and ugh painful for some clients.So that mask you use does it pull the eyebrows?? Can I use it all over with no problem??

Thank you thank you so much for these videos. This has helped me soooooooooooo much. Question which eye goggles are you using?? They look larger than the usual ones that don’t sit on the face very well and I want to get some larger ones for people with lashes to protect them while doing facials.

Im 1 year away from picking a college, i would live to do a beauty course. The problem is i am a male. I dont often see men in this type of field. I would love to become a esthetician. Is it possible for a man to do this job?
Men also work in this field, what's more important is your passion in what u do
When I was in Esthetician School there were a whole bunch of men in class. You should do it if you’re interested. I went to a multi cultural/ Language school and it was normal to have men do beauty services.
