Not gonna lie, when I saw Justine talking about trauma on the channel, I thought we were gonna get a durian cameo.
I was kind of waiting for Colin to tell her one was Durian flavored as he slid the glass in just to mess with her.
I think she was worried when they got the Lychee. The look on her face was impending doom.
Laura and Blaithin were hilarious as they were getting locked. Seeing Paddy with Callyann was also a great pairing, the happiest and most cheery people on the Try Channel. It was also outstanding to see Justine Stafford on a Try video not featuring durian! Aidan was such a great match on this video with Justine! Well done to everyone, now that they're all properly toasted, what sort of difficult task are you sadistic producers going to do with them?
I was actually somewhat expecting them to have a durian flavored one.
I feel bad for Paddy - he must've had a terrible time as an older teen, coming home from a party, seeing the parents still up, and this conversation takes place: "Son, ya haven't been drinkin', have ya?" "Of course not," he replies, with a face flushed as red as a cardinal on a firetruck eating a tomato.

Calamansi is a bit citrus staple for us Filipinos....we use it in dishes, mixed with dipping sauces, and especially as a drink similar to lemonade....glad to see the Tryers enjoy the fruit flavor!! 😄🍋
What do you use the dipping sauces for?
@@dusssss631- Filipinos mix calamansi juice and soy sauce, and dip chicken (called “inasal”) in it. Also they dip other meats like fried pork (called “sisig” or “longanisa”) in it too. I highly recommend it! 😋
Filipina in Virginia here - we use calamansi for dressing steamed crab, and I've used it as a substitute in Key Lime Pie :p
Justine looks incredible and lovely as always and glad she enjoyed the Rio Strong Cocktails. & At the 7:16minute she shows why people love her. She speaks what on her mind not care how it sounds.

Calamansi is a popular citrus fruit in the Philippines, we use it in place of Lemons to season Fish and Seafood! Also used in Meat marinades, plus makes a great drink!
Exactly! We use it in our marinades, dipping sauces, directly squeezed onto our grilled delicacies, and now cocktails. Calamansi truly is the multi-tool among citrus.
When I was living in Quezon City, it was either that with rum or San Miquel, my favorite beer!

These are really good. Here in North-East China, they're available at every convenience store for about 13RMB (about 1.64 Euro). Considering the summer temperature here is usually over 30C, it's nice to be able to grab a refreshing buzz on the way home from work etc. Great video, and lots of love to the Tryers from a Clare man in China!
Why not a refreshing buzz *while* at work? I know it's generally frowned upon, but some fields nearly require it to survive a shift (as a cook, it helps...a *lot*)...
I'm sensing a drunk Tryers Try video in the near future.

Calamansi is actually a citrus fruit. It's not a concoction of combining lime, lemon and orange. Calamansi/Kalamansi is a Filipino/Tagalog word of the citrus fruit.
I was pleasantly surprised to see calamansi as the last flavor! I lived in the Philippines for 7 months in 2012 and got VERY used to having calamansi suka with manok inasal and longsilog. 😋😋
I don’t think they actually said it’s literally a combination of those fruits, just that the taste is reminiscent of those fruits.
Also the best fruit to squeeze on grilled fish.

My absolute favorite part of any Try alcohol video with Paddy is the fact that you can see how inebriated he is getting by the different shades of red he turns.
Saw someone say you need to try a Soju shoot and I second that recommendation! People try soju not knowing what to expect and end up falling in love with it. The flavored ones are better than the orig, just a suggestion.
They also make calamansi flavored soju. But I’ve only seen it here in LA. 😬

I often use Japanese peach sodas and Filipino calamansi juice as vodka mixers. And Asian peach flavor is often w/ the ‘muskiness’ of the skin included.

Soju sneaks up on you. At first you think it’s weak watered down liquor but you drink so much that it then hits you hard later on.
