HEY LADIES! Thank you for tuning in and subscribing! Just checking in to answer some FAQs and a few notes. 1. I do a voiceover in this video explaining a few things. Just in case you’re listening with no sound. 2. My hair was damp, but I did spray with water as needed. 3. The process took about 3 1/2-4 hours, and I wore the twists for 3-4 weeks. I did wash the twists as well. 4. I start each twist off with a braid to help them last longer and lay easily. I also used the brick laying method for my parts, this helps with fullness and a natural fall of the twists as well. 5. Any styling products work as long as they are moisturizing, it is a protective style after all. 6. Lastly, my glasses are from EyeBuyDirect 🤓. Again, thank you all so much for watching 🌻🙏🏾
ACCORDINGtoRo I LOVE the tip of starting out with a braid! That simple little trick makes me want to try this! Thank you! I also love that the two of your videos I’ve watched, are simple, classy, no cursing and drama free! Kudos!
I love how you thought about people watching it with no sound😭 my sisters are sleeping next to me and it's almost 5 am. Just wanted to watch one more video before I can finally sleep💕💕
Listen...as a man (don’t pay attention to my order profile picture) there ain’t no barber for a shape up. So having a fro is a no no. Plus I been doing TikToks. I have no one to retwist my hair. So I gotta learn myself.
Love it!! 😍 I recently combed out my 15-yr old locs and I’m growing it out loose. This is EXACTLY how I do mine. I wish my length was more even especially around the perimeter of my head, but it’s still a great go-to style (esp during this lockdown)!! Thanks!!
Your twists are perfect!! I love that length, mine hang down my back, I wish they would shrink up. Maybe I should try twisting on soak and wet freshly washed hair
My hair is long as well. I did this style and wanted them to fall at my shoulder like hers does instead of down my back so I rolled them in the smallest perm rods(red) and it’s perfect. Stops right where I want them. I love them🥰💞😍
Glad I stumbled upon this video!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I wanted the twist to look sleeker so when you said braid and then twist and looking at the turn out I am EXCITED to redo my mini twist. Thanks again!!!😁😁😁
You can do it on short hair also, I found this video because I was looking for tutorials for short hair. There are a few vids on here with short twists which look good. Gonna attempt this, this weekend on short hair.
This looks really good on you. It looks like you brick laid in the front? How do you get the back to not be spacy(see a lot of scalp) when you’re parting/twisting without a mirror?
I haven’t done these yet but I will after my style I have now. Got a perm rod set going. I absolutely love my natural hair I was in an abusive friendship so I never did it because she told me I would look like a boy but I love it and I’m loving me
I’m going to try the braiding first method this time I do my twist! I’ve been so in love with this style lately super cute even though I’d like for them to be longer
I will be doing this too my hair this coming weekend. Hopefully I can keep them in and have them looking good for 3 to 4 weeks like u. Great job. Pretty hair. I'm growing mine back slowly but surely. Did a big chop last year. This coming August makes a year. Can't wait for some length. Goal is elbow length. In due time. 🤞🙏
Mines either I'm thin in the front so it has grown since on quarantine bc this is all I've done the last 6 months. If your stuck in might as well. Its healthier and low maintenance. With it being winter I just keep my silk scarf on and a hat when I go out and I run freely when home. My front has thickened up and everything. Good luck on your journey
They turned out so cute! I’m a little nervous to try on my hair because o have thinner strands, but if I do I’ll let you know how they turn out. How long did it take you and how long will you keep them in?
I just can't get mine to come out like this. Do you ever have an issue with some of the hair not twisting on the end? If you do, what do you do about that?
my hair is too long and thick for this it would take me forever i want to do it but it would be easier just to do regular two strand twists. it looks beautiful i will start with the basics lol
Any recommendations for shrinkage during this process?? I attempted to twist my hair. It came all the way to my shoulders and then shrunk up to my ear...
No babe, you just have to be extra patient when you take them out. Start from the bottom and use African pride pre-poo which melts all the tangles away. That stuff is amaze balls!!
It’s been 7 damn months and I have not had braids in for a long time quarantine got me washing my hair every 2 weeks, and all doing styles, wash n go etc it’s getting easier and a lot more tolerable but when school starts back and I need braids I’m really hoping my hair won’t fall out since it’s never been In braids for so long
I like how you divided your hair. My problem is parts are messy and twist are uneven. It seem you are using a pyramid way of setting up your twist so they will look full and less spacious. I'm going to try your technique and see what it do.
ACCORDINGtoRo Okay you inspired me to try your way. I tried mini twists like 2 weeks ago and I did try my best to part correctly. But I’ll try this time smaller and a little damp.
did you ever try mini braids?!? i’m trying to decide which style to do next (mini braids or mini twists) and i think your hair length is similar and type as mine and wanna know if twists or b aids would be better
I’m transitioning to natural and twist is the only the only style I can do to my hair so I won’t be out here looking crazy lol but I’m definitely gonna try to do the mini twist this weekend
Girl, stop looking like me. 😋 I've been in this exact same style for the past month. Lol. I sleep with a satin bonnet and my hair looked really good for awhile. It's about time for me to take them down, but yep, we twins! Lol. Perfect quarantine style.
iamYADA I Don’t Remember Exactly, I’ve Had Them For A Couple Years Now. They Were Fairly Inexpensive Though. Maybe Try Searching Tortoise On The Site It May Pop Up.

My birthday is coming up next week and I wanna do mini twists but I washed my hair last week and I don’t wanna dry it out. Can this style work for old/used hair? This style turned out so cute on you by the way 😍

Fatima Diaw Had To! I Watch Videos With No Sound Occasionally. Glad You Were Able To Enjoy And Not Wake Them 😌
ACCORDINGtoRo cute style! Can’t wait until mine is that length 🥰
@@ACCORDINGtoRo Thanks for this video! I usually braid my ends...but I will try braiding my roots now!
I’m nervous, but this quarantine is really pushing me to fall more in love with my natural hair. I’m so ready to try this 😍
I’m Happy To Hear That! 🌻
Aeriel same 😊

Same!!
It’s worth it I did mine and I love it so much 🥰
This looks like a great quarantine protective style. I’m at my wits end with my hair. Will try this. Thank you!
It’s The Perfect Style! I Have Them In Now ☺️
solitairedoll I did these! I loved it. I have to wear a scrub cap at work and these fit right under my cap! ♥️
Update?
I love mini twist videos even though my hair can’t achieve this style yet... It turned out really pretty 💓💓💓
krystabelle tettey Thank You 🌹
I just my natural hair twist today and I got a lot of compliments on it. My husband loves it.
This looks really cute..I’m going to try this out on my daughter and myself!!
Thank You! I’m Sure They’ll Complement They Both Of You ❤️
Your twists are gorgeous! It is times like these that I long for all that thickness! Tfs.
Thank You 🌻🌻
Girl I did this and it took me 2 days! When I tell you I saw a little muscle in my arms when I was done😂 let’s just say, I look like Whoopi Goldberg
😂 It’s Definitely A Workout 🏋️♀️
Not Whoopi 💀😂 Lawd. Ima try this myself but I think I’ll add a little marley hair for length, so I don’t end up looking like Morgan Freeman 💀
Akosua Ghanaian Queen 🤣🤣🤣 Morgan Freeman!! ROTFLMBO!!
😆
Nothing's funny or wrong about the way Whoopi looks. Y'all giving anti-black af.
Who else does twist only for it to get really old within a week? Just me? Oh okay
My Edges Definitely Get Old Fast 😂 So You’re Not Alone. I Do Touch Ups Throughout.
It breaks my heart
🤚🏿👈🏿😔
I do. I like the way it looks when they are old. 🤣
Love it!! 😍 I recently combed out my 15-yr old locs and I’m growing it out loose. This is EXACTLY how I do mine. I wish my length was more even especially around the perimeter of my head, but it’s still a great go-to style (esp during this lockdown)!! Thanks!!
I Know That Different Length Struggle All Too Well Lol Thank You For Watching 🌻🙏🏾
How do you tie your hair down at night? I like how your twists are still lengthy and haven’t shrunken up as much😍
Most nights I just put them in a bonnet and spray lightly with water in the mornings.

Your two strand twists look really nice and neat. Great job.
Thank You ❤️
Your twists are perfect!! I love that length, mine hang down my back, I wish they would shrink up. Maybe I should try twisting on soak and wet freshly washed hair
TamikasWorld Thank You! And Definitely Try Doing Them Soaking Wet. They Will Shrink As They Dry.
You can also spray them when done twisting. They should still shrink nicely. At least, that's what happens with mine.
My hair is long as well. I did this style and wanted them to fall at my shoulder like hers does instead of down my back so I rolled them in the smallest perm rods(red) and it’s perfect. Stops right where I want them. I love them🥰💞😍

You can do it on short hair also, I found this video because I was looking for tutorials for short hair. There are a few vids on here with short twists which look good. Gonna attempt this, this weekend on short hair.
Just add Marley hair
I wish the same for my hair also
It was great watching you twist your hair. I wish I could part that well😔
Thank You! The Parts Don’t Have Be Perfect, Just As Neat As You Can. Try Half Circles Instead.
This was so cute, I really want to do this😭.
You Should Give It Try, Perfect Time!
Very cute!!! This is about to be my quarantine hair.....Thanks for sharing!!!!
Very Welcome 🌻
It turned out beautiful!! 💕

Which style of glasses is that on eyebuydirect?
I’m going to try the braiding first method this time I do my twist! I’ve been so in love with this style lately super cute even though I’d like for them to be longer

My hair is not as full as yours so it will look super scanty
What can i do as a PS?
I Have Seen A Few Suggestions Of Adding Marley Hair, I’ve Personally Never Tried Adding Hair However.
I'm going to try these soon. Very pretty.
Thank You!!
This is exactly how my natural hair looks but every time I do twists on my hair they never come out right. SMH lol 😩😩😩😩. Imma try again tho!
Give It One More Good Try, I Hope It Works Out 🌻

I just can't get mine to come out like this. Do you ever have an issue with some of the hair not twisting on the end? If you do, what do you do about that?
Hey! I Would Suggest Putting Perm Rods On The Ends.
my hair is too long and thick for this it would take me forever i want to do it but it would be easier just to do regular two strand twists. it looks beautiful i will start with the basics lol
Any recommendations for shrinkage during this process?? I attempted to twist my hair. It came all the way to my shoulders and then shrunk up to my ear...
You Can Do It On Stretched Hair Instead, Or Try The Band Method To Stretch Your Twists.
I agree try the band method
Whenever I twist my hair (just playing with it ) it knots and I have to rip the strands out 💀 does that mean I can’t have twists ?
😂 Maybe So If It Results In Ripping Your Hair Out.
No babe, you just have to be extra patient when you take them out. Start from the bottom and use African pride pre-poo which melts all the tangles away. That stuff is amaze balls!!
Did you start braiding first b4 you two strand twist?
Yeap I Did.
Your hair texture looks exactly like mine I thought something was wrong with my hair ..
Never, I am sure your texture is beautiful.
I actually like twists better on this coarser hair type they look nice and full
Amei vou fazer no meu ❤
What do you do to moisturize them everyday ?
Jas Mine I Don’t Wear Anything Over Them When I Shower And Oil.
It’s been 7 damn months and I have not had braids in for a long time quarantine got me washing my hair every 2 weeks, and all doing styles, wash n go etc it’s getting easier and a lot more tolerable but when school starts back and I need braids I’m really hoping my hair won’t fall out since it’s never been In braids for so long
Does starting off with the braid make the style last longer?
In My Opinion, Yes. & They Lay Better.
Excellent!
So beautiful!!! ♥️

I like how you divided your hair. My problem is parts are messy and twist are uneven. It seem you are using a pyramid way of setting up your twist so they will look full and less spacious. I'm going to try your technique and see what it do.
I Noticed The Neater They Are, The Longer They Last. It Does Take More Time With This Technique, But It’s Worth It. I Hope You Like Your Results! ☺️
ACCORDINGtoRo Okay you inspired me to try your way. I tried mini twists like 2 weeks ago and I did try my best to part correctly. But I’ll try this time smaller and a little damp.
How long can this last if I do everything right? Can I extend the life of this style if I retouch some twits?
They Could Honestly Last A Month Maybe Longer, If You Don’t Mind Frizz. And Definitely Retwist Helps With Preservation.
Beautiful!! I'm doing this next!!
Thank You! I Hope They Turn Out Great 🌻
How long did it take you do this start to finish? They came out great btw!!!
Thank You! Between 3 1/2 To 4 Hours
I am going to try this

I Actually Did A Video Recently On How I Protect My Hair Over Night. But Usually Just A Bonnet. Yes, I Washed And I Did Retwist A Few Here And There.
ACCORDINGtoRo Oh ok thank you! I will check it out 😊
Love this vid about to do it now
🌻🌻🌻
So beautiful!! My hair would still shrink up if I just detangle and air dry (which is what I do)! So jealous lol!
Thank You! 🌻 Shrinkage Can Be A Headache, You Kinda Accept It Once You Realize It’s Here To Stay Lol

How do you keep your hair from shrinking up??
Jordan Harris Do Them On Blown Out Or Damp Hair. And There Are Stretching Techniques Out There. I Personally Embrace Shrinkage, It’s Apart Of The Beauty Of Curly Textures.
Pls how long or how much hours did it take you to finish up this twist ??
About 3 1/2 - 4 Hours If I’m Remembering Correctly.
I love this look! You did a great job! Do you do this on wet or dry hair?
Thank You! It Was Damp. I Wet It As Needed.
When you wash the twist, do they untwist or stay pretty much intact?
They Pretty Much Stayed In Tact. I Did Retwist A Few Over Time Though.
Your hair is prettaayyy😍😍😍
Thank Youuuu 🌻
Is this style only for natural hair?
If Your Hair Is Relaxed, The Twists Won’t Stay. But If You Use A Marley Hair, That Could Work.
