My hearing has become permanently worse each time my ear drum has burst. Sure, it heals, but not back to normal. Like how a badly sprained ankle will heal but never *quite* feel right again

Except it doesn't always heal... Mines been permanently open for 18 years and im only finally making steps to get surgery
