I'm here to yell about them changing the original design of Bruce. Let's all admit right now that the shark fin is one of the most ICONIC images from the film. The original design had that down really well with it's unique shape--a little hook at the top and then a wide bevel down. Why then did they change that and chop the entire top of the fin right off to make it flat? Thankfully it's an easy fix. I'll be getting the set but I will be changing Bruce back to the original design--something I shouldn't have to do with such an expensive set and if the people at Lego had any sense.
That's a really good point! Not sure how I did not noticed that when comparing the two as the final design ended up being very very stubby at the fin tip, now that you point it out.... Actually, the more I look at the final shark, the more cartoony and disproportioned it looks! The snout is much too long, and it looks way too...cuddly?? I'm looking forward to see how others will modify the design to keep that iconic scary shark Bruce design! Thanks for pointing that out!
I thought so as well, but after reading deathboy68's comment, and seeing how disproportionate it sort of is compared to the original shark, I'm not so sure...I might have to do more side-by-side comparisons.

I ALWAYS appreciate constructive criticism! I try to take up some of the screen so it's not just another blank page telling you about what you've probably already seen! But I'll certainly take that into consideration and maybe shrink my frame a little bit more for next time!
Dual molded beanie indeed. I like the set overall. It reminds me of some of the Indy diaramas, but lighter on bricks maybe? It has some unique pieces tho.

@@cpafol One thing I think to consider is the LEGO brand bible. They are always going to choose the whimsy route - that’s on-brand for them. If you watch their cartoon trailer, you see these consistency decisions in real-time. Chrissy getting bounced like a beachball vs devoured. Brody throwing the bell, vs. a rifle shot. The shark is more of a playful pet than a monster. The moment LEGO starts making things more aggressive is when they lose that brand consistency and things start to feel “off”. I will always respect a brand that understands itself over one that breaks their own rules on a case-by-case basis. 🙏💗

That shark looks really clean for the scale. I imagine Jaws fans will love this one. It ain't for me, but looks like a pretty nice display!
