Surface Fishing for Carp April 2019...big common!

An afternoon and evening session at a local reservoir surface fishing for carp. Temperatures over the Easter weekend topped 25 degrees, highest ever recorded. This brought a number of carp to the surface. The carp were very shy, spooked easily and were sat in the middle of the lake. I fed floating pellets and used trimmed down boilies or bread as hook baits.
I finally managed a beautifully conditioned 18lb carp which put up a great fight!
Can't wait for more surface fishing as the temperatures climb!
