Cool, I finally get to see you guys do a dollar roll hunt.
Picked up about 12 Presidential dollars at the last Metal detecting competition! Will check them for any errors and thanks for posting the info about these coins!👍
Why did you hold on to those 2 coins? Were they just good examples?
Had one with an edge error, no print on side. Coin shop did a weight check to ensure lettering wasn’t ground off and gave me $75 for it.

are the president coinsi in rolls like this worth anything? I see them on ebay for $35, but you can get them at the bank for only $25. If I get a roll, do I open it and look for errors or try to sell it on ebay?

I believe at face value there's rolls unc.are worth saving later in series collector only at higher price they are treasury not wallpaper fed .res.notes
I just got two rolls of George Washington and not sure if i want to open. A customer gave to my hubby he put them up and forgot about them. He also thought he had quarters lol

I spent a few hours last night and today trying to find someone who had done a video on these dollars. I got a few rolls from the bank the other day and the first roll I opened looked like all BU coins. Long story short (hopefully) I ended up with over 5 rolls in BU condition and when I was done I had every President in the series! All "P" mintmarks but that's ok. But what caught my attention was several of the coins had upside down edge lettering on the rims. If you held several up at a time one or more of the coins lettering was opposed OR upside down compared to others. I don't know if this would be considered an error or not. I haven't been able to find any info on this issue.

Didnt know you could get them from bank at face value until yesterday on my birthday got a roll of circulated gold and silver dollar mix it is the only kind my bank has but know its going to be easier to get all the presidents

I found aprox 150 ODD sacagawea dollar coins out of 4000 that I collected
I bought four Philadelphia rolls of every dollar coin 2 went to my brother in Colorado and I kept 2 he would send me two rolls of Denver Mint golden dollars I opened one roll of each and found a shifted edge lettering on the Thomas Jefferson coin so good luck they're out there I still have one roll from each president Philadelphia and Denver Mints

you could tell before you opened it , it was opened at 1 end already.Look at it the roll on 1 end is not tight
I don't believe the US mints use tape on their rolls.
I know this was posted a while ago, but he said "I used tape to try to hold them together" since he has had them for a while

They came from a bank. He also said, they may have been rerolled. I'm sure these are dropped and broken in banks all the time. So, they have to reroll them.

I know this is a couple years late but I had two rolls of each president from the Philadelphia mint and the Denver Mint I opened one roll-up from each and saved one role of each and I did find one with shifted Edge lettering but I think it was Thomas Jefferson but I'm really not sure without looking and what a cool find it was my brother has two roles of each still I'm running low on money and wouldn't mind finding more shifted Edge lettering so I think I might start looking at them again thanks for this video I'm glad I caught it

no they are not gold sense they are way to common to acctually be gold and is just another metal coated with some yellow/gold metal (if it was 100% gold it woukd be worth thousands!)

Why are you wearing gloves
We weren't sure if we'd find a rarity and your fingers will leave prints on coins if you touch them so we decided to be safe since these rolls were old and known to have possible errors in them. Also these were uncirculated Mint rolls as opposed to bank rolls that have dirty nasty coins so it isn't quite as important or even possible because the gloves turn black quickly on those. Great question though. Good Hunting
