About 15 years ago, I saw a woman take her first ride in an iceboat. It was a two-seater Nite. Winds around 20 mph. They were having a great ride when suddenly the wooden mast splintered like a baseball bat. A piece of it glanced off her helmet. She was shaken, but uninjured. However, she avoided iceboats after that incident. It was a scary thing to observe.
That was nice footage. I'm sorry that happened. What camera and lens setup were you using. It looked good. Nice job keeping your cool and not swearing! :)
