Sonata Arctica’s ”Caleb Saga” is my favorite psychological thriller, written in to songs. This saga got even a new part with the song ”Dark Empath”, on their coming album. Earlier the ”Caleb saga” started with a song ”End of this chapter”, but in my opinion, now this ”Dark Empath” is the one which is the begin of this saga.
This song is a part of Sonata"s "Caleb" saga. It tells a story of a stalker type man, mentally unstable Caleb and his love towards a woman. This explains the use of the word "wh....e" In the song.

Sonata arctica are perhaps the best storytellers in songs that i know of. if you look at ones like "White Pearl, Black Ocean", "Caleb", "Full Moon"... their songs are really stories put to music. Maybe try lyric videos if you do another? Well worth a deep dive chief, they have been around a long time and are still releasing new music... they have a couple of new songs out now, one is called "A monster only you cant see"

This is maybe not their best song but a good introduction to the band. A great band with nice melodical and powerful music, very good vocals and talented musicians. I like them a lot. This song is always the last song in their setlist. Thank you and looking forward to more Sonata reactions in the future🙌 Also Merry Christmas🎄🌟😊
I'm glad you did. This is one of my favorites from them, along with End of this Chapter. ...Their Magnum Opus is of course White Pearl, Black Oceans though.
Yes, me too -happy to keep on pushing this! This band is a gem. End of this Chapter is epic (do not drive a car and listen to it at the same time, just saying)..... And agree, White Pearl, Black Ocean is just overwhelmingly grand!
If you watch their tour videos, Tony is hilarious without trying, they all are.
Especially Tommy (drums) comparing Kemi to where they are in South America.

Sonata Arctica are huge friends of NW, Tony Kakko the lead singer talked Tuomas out of ending Nightwish when Tarja left, from what Tuomas said. Needs a knighthood just for that!

You need to check out their song "I Have a Right". That is one of my favorite songs of theirs.
You should check their live version, the Finland live version, especially the laughing part.

That guy is a very young Jani Liimatainen from Insomnium when he was in Sonata Arctica.
