- Today we do an arrival into Cairo Egypt and then do an international departure from Cairo airport on Emirates airlines to Dubai. I actually ended up upgrading the Emirates flight to Business Class.

Cairo Airport looks a bit different than when we visited back in 2018, then again we arrive at night from Paris. Probably a different terminal but we also stayed at the Le Meridien Hotel! Haha Here's the crazy part; while we were there, my wife swore the actor Joseph Fiennes was there. We saw him eating breakfast at the buffet. No one noticed him. I didn't believe it but turns out it was him. Couple years later I found the docuseries he did with his cousin, Ranulph Fiennes, called Fiennes: Return to the Nile. Good show to watch. Keep up the good work!!
I am considering staying at the hotel you mentioned. Did you like it? Was it pretty easy to take the bridge and get through security? I have a very early flight. Any info is appreciated:)

How long did it take you to get from the hotel back to departures using the bridge? Thinking about staying there in the fall. I have a early flight out of Cairo.

Didn't you see the signboard in front of you? Before you
ask the taxi driver directly... there is a free monorail that will take you from Terminal 1, where you are, to the Meridian Hotel and Terminals 2 and 3, passing through the mall and the parking lot... The distance is not worth even two dollars... a free automated transport, less time and more safety.
The airport sure has changed in 13 years.
Le Meridien Cairo Airport offer a free shuttle bus to and from the airport if you are not in the connected terminal. It takes a couple of minutes.
I have a flight to Cairo on the 20th Jan, It is a connecting flight, from Cairo to Dubai and then to Melbourne, do I need a transit visa or check out?

Depends where you will stay, but you should be able to get a private car or hiring a driver from the aiport.

You actually paid the full asking price to the first cabby that approached you - inside the airport! More money than sense or experience.
Sometimes you gotta pay for convienence. Only Been to 86 countries so i am sure you have more experience than me but thats how i like to do it.

But that really isn't relevant - it's not how many times but whether you are capable of understanding! And, for all your experience - you don't get how paying the first asking price causes prices to rise!. That's just dumb.
@@VirtCam Actually, yes I have. Not just passing through, but actually living and working in many. However, it is not quantity of visits, it's capability of learning. You have obviously not understand how accepting first (and probably extortionate) price causes prices in general to rise - eventually damaging the economy.
