I also grew up in the “pre-social media” era. “Back in my day”, I had moderate success with women, but was never able to close the deal. I now believe 100% that if I had better looks, most of the women I’ve dated would have bent over backwards to make the relationship work.

@@HeyMomonia to clarify, I'm not really talking about a complete lack of good conversation. That happens for sure, I enjoy it myself on occasion. But in my experience most older fellers have absolutely zero interest with the things these guys are talking about. Everything they know about men and women stays in the context of their time, they never cared to hear the modern version. That implies a heavy disconnect.
So while they may be able to see there are problems on the surface, it's hard to discuss past that point. It's hard enough with some guys I know who barely even know what dating apps are. But Stardusk has been studying this stuff for years now, not to mention keeping up with how it works/applies in the now. I mean, you put any guy with above average intelligence in his 40s/50s on a Wheat Waffle discussion, he'd already be lost in minutes because, in my experience, it's just that disconnect they tend to have. My humble opinion, anyway.

In my late 20, with zero results, I can safely say, the hopium part is bullshit. The blackpill is real.
I'm reasonably fit, over 6', and a reasonably high earner. Enough to put me in a statistical minority of men.
Women still want nothing to do with me.

Okay, so there's multiple concepts of dating down. When you consider overall, it's impossible for a man not to date down, even if you tried. But what I am referring to, and what people usually mean by dating down is how rare a man is compared to how rare a vvoman is. If you don't compare men and vvomen, based on statistical rarity, a man doesn't have to date down, however you calculate it.
A dork is still more rare than some fat woman, he can do better. If he isn't, I don't see a problem with your example, but it's usually wrong. The problem is that men's resources are being given to women through taxes. Plain and simple this is the whole issue. I think for many, the blue-pilled indoctrination at young ages & (more importantly) the biological urges make it extra hard to ignore these values. I don't believe we can get rid of them, but they can be inhibited. And for whatever reasons they have, many just don't see the benefits of that outweighing the cost.

Very good point around 25:00 mark. I’m average looking and similar in age(43) and remember being able to get women somewhat easily. Not models or anything but regular girls but it all changed around 2006ish. That’s when MySpace was huge and social media was born. Regular guys got pushed out of the dating pool.

Trying to lose weight? See above. Complex movements are the best way to lose weight. Lifting weights is HIIT as long as you’re doing it with enough resistance that it takes you 2-3 min to cool down after each set. If you want cardio, follow it up with steady state cardio after.
As a man who is 53 and started lifting at 19, this is the essence of resistance training, preparation for life, and old age is a part of that, gets me out of the house to.

I became a Reformed Christian in college, attempted to date for 10 years, finally lost some weight and got a cut jaw line, and then only ever dated one woman, my wife. We've been married for about two years now, and we are having a daughter this spring.

the thing is two attractive people can produce less attractive children, or at least usually have less attractive relatives. You can't totally judge people for using their good looks to their advantage unless you're in that position. I would say, after some experiences, that the juice is worth the squeeze for a time - until you have satisfied yourself having had a few different sexual experiences with a variety of women and understand what you have previously missed out on - after that point, the value of the juice diminishes quickly in comparison to the effort taken to extract.
For me, personally, it was a few years of fun and experimentation in my 30s, having not had luck/confidence in my 20s (probably similar to how you are now - highly anxious and a bit neurotic). Now starting my 40s, I am more or less indifferent to it - I wouldn't turn down a hot girl that was into me, but I have little desire to pursue anymore.

Where I work there's a couple of guys who are 8+ out of 10 looks but they are 5'5"...they're done. I don't even know them, but I see them from time to time, walking around etc. They've got that air about them, like a poorly treated dog. I think I have that from time to time but try & hide it...the slightly shy in social situations, it comes from decades of rejection when you expected some positivity in social situations & received 1 tiny step up from nothing.
It's only when you truly accept your situation that you become comfortable in social settings in my view. I've seen extremely ugly people be confident in social interactions...I always thought, 'God, if I looked like that, I'd literally go live under a rock forever' , how are they relaxed & confident?...it's because they've gone through that phase & truly accepted who they are & their circumstances. That's what the black pill truly is, it's the learning of the situation, so you can they truly be yourself, instead of hitting your own head against the wall about dating & life interactions in today's looks heavy value system.

Chris Williamson has an amazing body, and I think that's why he was picked for Love Island. His face is not even a "7." His eyes are high in his head and they are squinty and his nose is skewed to one side. He has an outgoing personality and he has worked to get rid of most of his Leeds accent ("Come hyaaaaaah") and now his is moving into this intellectual realm where he can present himself as the "whole package." He strikes me as hiding a very big secret. We'll see in 5-10 years when he's still not married.
