I love 1996! And it doesn’t get talked about very often. To me, it smells like making out with a 90s grunge-era Keanu Reeves against a brick wall in the back corner of a dark club while wearing his leather jacket.
It's such a beautiful fragrance and very unique! 👍🏽

i absolutely love 1996. I have wanted to buy it for four years but have been holding out because its so so so expensive. It's a gorgeous scent. Have not smelt anything else like it.

Hi Prtty. Just saw this video from a year ago. Mojave Ghost is nice. If like me, affordability was an issue so I tried the roll-on. Not cheap but way less than the actual bottle at over $150.

All Byredo smells like cheap Avon scents. For sure they are not worth such high prices.
My absolute fave is Bal d'afrique. Absolutely beautiful scent that is soft. You gotta try it when you return to Barneys.

I have blanche, and my husband loves it on me too! hahahaha I agree with you, perfume is very personal. I think blanche is what suits my personality and what I’m going for, simple, not attention seeking kinda thing, always bringing freshness and good mood to start the day 😁

Rose of no mans land is horrendous old lady smell! Maybe good for ladies over 80!!! 🤮🤮🤮
....Mojave Ghost body lotion and Mojave Cologne is not for everyone....def not fumey....I adore it.

I instantly fell in love with 1996. I bought a different fragrance because I didn’t come for a Byredo. Long story short I returned the other perfume, bought 1996 instead, and I absolutely adore it ❤️

So far I have bal d’afrique, omg girl it is smell so great, a bit sweet and sophisticated!!!! First tried it at neiman and immediately fall in love!!!😍😍😍

Byredo is the best kept secret!! started with Bal d'afrique... then gypsy water...then mojave ghost.. I hardly remember my other cologne's since discovering these!!

1996 sounds like my favorite year. Angelina Jolie in that cyberpunk movie hackers and soul assassins cypress hill La the dark common and outkast with rage against the machine erykah badu and smoking grooves tour… forget it heading to Barney’s now and will try a sample on this car ride down to Portland with my girl and see if I feel the same and she feels the same. If not, she’s out! Thanks for defining my next five months with this video

I get it to her stay by using the body cream I just bought the hand cream and I use it and it helps with longevity and projection and I spray my clothes and I spray heavy 🤗

am I the only one who thinks gypsy water smells similar to baccarat rouge 540?
Hi! Rose of No Man’s Land, Mojave Ghost and Bal D’Afrique are my absolute favorites.
Mojave Ghost reminds me of Tocca’s “Colette” perfume which I also had already.
The other Byredos I own are Rose Noir and Pulp.
The Rose noir is a dirtier Rose scent, and Pulp reminds me of fall. Definitely not for everyone, I hated it at first sniff- then I became really intrigued. it smells like a bowl of over ripe fruit- very unique.
I love Gypsy Water as well but I find the longevity is not as strong with it.
Sellier and Casablanca Lily also are beautiful, purchased the Sellier for my fiancée. 🥰

I own Mojave Ghost and to me it’s a grown up smokier version of Marc Jacobs Daisy.. love it! the only other one I own is Bal D’Afrique and it’s stunning .. I am intrigued on Roses of No Man’s land🌹

Some people say 1996 reminds them of Chanel’s coromandel. I don’t get the similarity but I own both and they are two of my absolute favorite fragrances so maybe there are some olfactive resemblances there.

I am late, but just got sample of Byredo 1996…. And oh…my…goodness! It is 4 hours later…and the dry down is sooooo sooo good. I just ordered my first bottle of it and am excited to wear…. Thank you for your sharing… to me it is a unique in its’ scent and the icing on the cake is Inez is my middle name and my aunt’s name! Can’t wait to get the bottle!

Byredo is such a trendy brand. I tried to make myself like this brand. There are only a few that I can stand for a bit.
1996 is indeed quite unique. One of the better Byredos out there (i'm not a fan of the house to be honest).

Love your enthusiasm! I've purchased La Tulipe & Seven Veils years ago . Got tired of them & gave them away . Not a fan of Blanche or Gypsy Water either . Can't remember if I've tried 1996. I liked Green but it's been discontinued for quite a while . Oh , check with your Barneys to see if they're having their Beauty Bag event . Mine here in NYC is . A $200 or more purchase gets you a bag with lots of samples , sometimes even a full size product . Enjoy your purchase !

Hi! Wondering if you can help me, one of my favorite perfumes is discontinued “Belenciaga B. Paris”, so sad. Wondering if you would know another perfume that smells similar. To my nose it opens up fresh and green, as if you walked into the section where they are selling Christmas trees, very fresh sweet pine, even if that’s not in the notes description lol. And it dries down light soft powdery musk. Any suggestions would be awesome! This quarantine time has given me time to look for a new signature scent. Thanks!

I love your energy and your descriptions! I own Blanche, La Tulipe, Mojave Ghost, Bal D'Afrique and Gypsy Water (yes, it's my favorite brand) and I loved hearing your take on all of those scents.
