I'm so stoked that I watched your video. I'm using organic cut comfrey root for a poultice to apply to the bulging discs in my neck....but I needed to make into powder, which is harder to purchase. I suspected I could use my coffee grinder, and now I know how to do it! So awesome....thanks:))

This is great! Manzanita is one plant I can easily recognize and we have lots of them here in Prescott, AZ. My girlfriend often complains of urinary tract infections. I will have to make this for her next time and see how it works. Thank you for a great video:-)

Thank you! I can't tell you how helpful this video was. I had been using a vitamix to try and grind my own vitamin c powder with dried rosehips. It was my first time experimenting to attempt to powder an herb and the contents got so hot without fully powdering it. I was completely missing the taking it back to the coffee grinder and then sifting part, which makes all the difference. I'm so excited to have learned how to do this! Now I can get that jar of chunky rosehip powder and filter it into something I hope is actually enjoyable to drink : ) Update: Worked and tastes great. Also just powdered peppermint leaf and licorice and astragaulus root, ending up with a bowl of nice powder and a sifter of almost hay like bark fluff!! I can use that for tea. So fun!

To grind the branches down to a fine power, soak the branches in warm water or at room temperature water over night. When the branches are fully hydrated, put them and the water used to soak the branches back into the blender and pulverize. Everything will turn into a foam. Pour the foaming liquid onto a silicon sheet and spread out evenly. (Metal and parchment paper really doesn't work) Next, put into a warm dry area with a fan on low directly aimed at the silicon sheet. In 24 hours the foam will dry enough that you can place contents back into the blender and pulverize. Everything will turn to a power. I know it sounds like a lot of work but this works for any hard dried roots, like Osha, Ginseng and others.

@angelbe88 Areyou kidding? It's one of the most powerful healing herbs- it's rich in polyphenolic flavonoids, 2 of which are powerful antiseptics. Oregano oil contains over 50 compounds with antimicrobial actions that inhibit candida growth, bacteria, yeast, viruses and parasites. It even slows down diabetes complications. It's great for travellers fighting foreign bacteria. It can be applied topically tp fight nail and fungus infections.

The answer is not "what to take" but what to stop doing that causes the problems, otherwise its like trying to put out fire with water while at the same time pouring gasoline on it and fueling it even more. ua-cam.com/video/AgJIYLgSC7o/v-deo.html

What you said about trying to rely less on chemicals and modern medicines is exactly why I am watching this video. I'm slowly learning more and more about natural herbs and their healing properties, and it's a very enriching and enlightening journey. I'm loving every bit of it. Thanks for showing us how to powder them. Is there another way to grind just leaves and flowers without a blender or a grinder? Please suggest, thanks! =)
    Cheers from Malaysia!

@4GreenEarth2 Yes I have a few formulas for liver, colon, parasites, anti-aging etc. I don't really make a lot of money with them, they are a hassle to make, but it's for people who don't have the time or desire to harvest and prepare their own. Just doing my bit to help. I don't know how much longer I'll be making them, they take so much of my time and money, but they ARE what I personally take. They're at MarkusProducts com

Torpac in the USA has a semi-automatic encapsulator for 100 caps, to make capsules at home easily and quickly. It is really good and it is a family conpany. One can choose what size plates. Size 0 is the best for me, because 00 is too big to swallow easily, I think. I had my encapsulator for years.

Great energy! Great information! You're the best! I have a question. Have you done nettle root powder extract? I was digging in my garden in Sweden last year and let the roots dry for a week, but then I didn't found a way to make a powder. I only found the tincture method where you use alcohol. But I want the powder. I have sting nettle everywhere. And I have the Vitamix ;)

I prefer to make a liquid extract, and then dehydrate it into a concentrated powder. This seems to be uncommon in western herbalism but common in Chinese herbalism, and I believe it makes for better more concentrated medicine that also releases a wider array of plant constituents into the body; as the body may not be able to break down some important constituents from simple blended herbs.
