@@clementyee303 I agree with you. Yoshi's cover effectively captured the essence and the pacing of the song and it does indeed fit with the themes of the movie itself. It also allowed me to visualise and focus on the lyrics of the song, which did enhance the whole experience of listening to the piano cover. However, this cover by Paradise definitely also has it's merits. It's more of a one-man show than Yoshi's cover, the piano techniques used were indeed suitable and impeccably performed. But I would say the overall mood of Paradise's cover is different. It reminds me less of the movie because the techniques "stole the show" if you will. It seems to be less emotional though the methods of playing were very captivating. Ah well, it's just my two cents. Hope my opinions brought some insight to y'all (-:

Koe no Katachi's director Naoko Yamada is safe and so are other staff members, but doubtless numerous others who worked on that anime and many more died. Kyoani raised the standard with so many beautifully crafted shows. Shows with pristine animation, music, directing, etc. At best, my thanks is to donate to fundraisers and remember them through their work, but I feel like it's not enough, and truly it isn't. Beyond talent, lives were lost that just can't be replaced. Anyway, I'm glad this transcription exists. Thanks for the memories.

I really think that the ending should have been played an octave lower since most of the song was spent in such a low-medium key. Other than that, the song really does imitate a lot of the instruments in the song pretty well and the complexity is pretty nice.

Yes. That's the new technique I used in this sheet. This idea just suddenly came into my mind. Interestingly I did not know how to interpret it in the sheet at first. Then I recalled that Animenz used the black key glissando in "Colors" , so I used the same way as he did in his sheet:D
