Yeah I’ve been making them this way for years, the step comes in super handy.. but it’s sometimes good to have the flat side too 👍🏼 Thank you for watching, hope you enjoy making one too
@@stevejames2142 Yes I will love making it. Got some 8x4 Ali sheets to mark. A line 25mm from each edge before rivets. Be pretty easy for me. I have 3 lathes and a Bridgeport. You did a great job by hand.
Danylo66 .. Thank you, Yes the grinder is my most used tool, I'd be pretty stuck without it.. well and the tig machine of course. Thank you for watching, see you next time.
Robin Coomans .. Great to hear that Robin, you won't regret it, I've still got one that I made over 20 years ago.. use it almost everyday. Thanks for watching
Looks like a machinist was using a vertical mill and some sort of cutter that gouged it. Definitely didn't hurt it but evidence like that would gained some humor from his co-workers...
I loved watching. Other guys might have used a milling machine but your weld was just as good. After you sanded it I couldn't even see the weld.
Nice grinder work! I made one of these for wood, but will now look into making one for metal as well. Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant exactly the design I was thinking of. Most have a flat face but the step is much better.

Awesome. Thank you for sharing.
I really like your design mate! Looks like a really handy toolS Do you think a broken drill bit would work too? I just broke a small one today xD
Black Beard Projects Thanks pal, yes your broken drill bit should work nicely.. I think everyone has these, good thinking.
Great job, I thought in the beginning that you had a mill. But turns out you are handy with a grinder.

love it bro, u made my day
Neat tool! may have to make one myself.
That's great, thanks for watching
I just want to buy one. It seems like no one makes one of these. I find hundreds for wood. None for metal.
Hi, That’s a great point James, maybe I should go into production then?
@@stevejames2142 Yes I paid 125.00 for a Starrett yesterday. 29B scratch gage. Yours is better in size.
Good job thank
Nice! On my list :)

ciekawy pomysł muszę zrobić sobie taki przyrząd szkoda sufmiarki
how did those HUGE gouges get into that vise?.... it almost looks like someone pressed an angle grinder to it.
I honestly have no idea, I was given this vise and it already had them... does look like grinder marks though I agree.
Thank you for watching 👍🏼
Thats actually a really kick ass vise to be getting for free.. that thing was probably a fortune brand new!
