no mention is made about the little "dot" marker on the edge of the cuff. i'm not sure if this is the marker to be aligned with brachial artery or whether the tubing is supposed to be aligned with the artery as the video implies.
All I needed was help with HOW the cuff wrapped around. I was doing wrap one direction and a therapist did it the other way, even over the tube or off to the side, not on wrap fully. ugh. This is important. I knew to have tube placement on side, and towards wrist. I think. 🤔
MY UPPER ARM IS LARGER THAN DOWN NEAR MY ELBOW WHERE THE TUBE IS. SHOULD IT FIT MORE SNUG UP NEAR THE MUSCLE, UPPER ARM OR MORE SNUG NEAR ABOVE THE ELBOW. I DON'T HAVE LONG ARMS SO IT'S TRICKY ... ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED ...
I have a small arm...9 inches. Just bought the Series 7 and am not really liking the hard cuff. It goes from arm pit to elbow.. ( feels too big ) Can I purchase a smaller Omron soft cuff?? Would it be compatible with the Series 7?
There is another UA-cam video that explains the differences between readings on the right and left arms, and what to do about it. It's towards the end of the clip at ua-cam.com/video/coOhQvXRysg/v-deo.html
I'm confused. My doctor assistant told me my arm should be bent upward as shown on the small picture on the cuff (white square). But the video shows you should lay your arm flat. Which one is correct?
Which arm do you think is better, or does it matter ( i use my right cause my table is on the right hand side) ? Also i have the omron 785N model, and it has the old out dated BP guidelines of 135/85. It does not refer to the new ones (esp. for people over 50 yrs.) of 119/80. What do you think about that?
This is called interarm blood pressire. the right arm will always be slightly higher by about 5 -10 points than the left arm. If more than 10 you got problems. Yiou can use the difference to work out the condition of the artery in both your left and right arm. Your true blood pressure will be the rigt arm though howeer you could just avergae it. I find just after i eat the difference is tabout 3 points nut normally about 10.
@@bastadtroll8922 I never knew this, as I've always taken mine on the right side. I'll have to experiment with this, as it effects my true readings. I have high BP and every point counts Thank you so much👍
@@worldview730 Different arteries in the body have different blood pressures based on height of the artery in relation to the heart and distance from the heart. Due to gravity arteries lower than heart level will be higher blood pressure and vice versa. if you raise your arm it lower the pressure in that arm. Best to take the reading with arm on a table to get it level as the heart.
@@rockingredpoppy9119 No it does not matter rigt or left handed. The left arm will always be lower than the right. Try beetroot extract pills. They lower your bp very fast. Also your bp is always much higher in your legs than your head ever wonder why? why does blood need to have more pressure going down but less going up to your head? I mean blood to your head is going aganst gravity right so would need more force to voercome gravity no? Have you also ever wondered why you feel dizzy when you have low blood pressure and you stand up? Some people say your artieries get stretched out but this is not true they contain the same volume area regardless sitting or standing. Gravity is the answer but did you know gravity is really just time dilation. Time moves slower for atoms/particles nearer to the ground then higher up. So your blood reaches your feet but it slows down in time and the rest of your body higher up doesnt lile this as it dlows the return of blood so extra pressure is necessary to counteract time dilation. This is why no extra pressure is required for blood above heart level as the higher you go time moves faster so technically speed is increased and lood from the head flows back faster. The difference in the flow of time between the top and botttom sides of an object/atom/particle/electron cauase it to change direction as it travels through space&time towards the centre of the mass (earth). This is what we percieve as falling. Gravity does not pull you. It affects time which kinda affects the space by affecting the path of objects travellng in that space. The top side feels faster velocity through spacetime and the bottom side slower so the object of mass acts like a harpoon arcing us towards the earth. Its like second after second we both get closer to each other. Imagine the time difference like an anchor hooked onto one side of a ship which is traveleing along a canal. One side is free to move the other side is hooked so the whole ship arcs towards the embankment as it tries to travel forward. THis is gravity. You arcing towards the mass (earth) as you move through spacetime. Time dilation does affect you more than you know. Think of someone in africa and someon in south america. They both travel up in a stright line but eventually they meet in the middle at the north pole. Now think of the earth and you as those two travellers, the curved globe as spacetime and the north pole as some point in the future in space. Both of you travel in a straight line but you end up meeting each other at the point. This is gravity. No force just curvature. Obviously earth is causing the time dilation so your path would be more curved towrds earth.
Did you resolve this? I keep getting the same error message. I intermittently get it to work, but the numbers are much higher than what I roughly know my bp to be, so I don't think it is accurate. It used to be ok, so maybe it only works for a short while and breaks.
But how do I set up the cuff, its very cofusing. What is the metal bar for. This video is misleading. It says its about the cuff, and yet that is only covered in ten seconds. Its more about the Omron unit as a whole
According to instructions, in order to unplug the air plug, pull on plastic air plug at the base of the tube and not the tube itself. I tried it, but I hear a crackling sound. I'm afraid to break something, so I left it attached. Anyone managed to pull out air plug?
I am not sure if this easy wrap is suitable for people with average arm size...it doesn't feel that it is snugs around my arm..even in this video it seems to be loose...the older model is a better fit that doesn't have a built in frame..

How can I check whether the reading is right. Is there any way to calibrate the device.
I'm looking for a cuff that has no metal bar, prefer conical as arm isnt same size across width of cuff
When we try to see how to use the pressure measurement, please don’t force us to watch the minutes long ads!!! We are in emergency sometime try to

Do the cuffs need replacement at any time? It's been quite a while since I used mine and it seems very rigid and uncomfortable.
Replacements are easily available and doesn’t cost much. Just find the right one compatible with your bp monitor device.
wish Omron made a cuff like this for the HEM-907XL... hard to wrap this floppy cuff that comes with it around my own arm

How do you program? Date time etc
I smoke a cigarete every half hour, so this is perfect.

Can I use it with jpn 500 ?
Looking for a no metal bar cuff and its not clear in video
There is no metal bar.
How to clean Omron M3 cuff?
For best results, clean with a soft, moistened cloth using mild detergent or soap.
why is my right arm 124, left is 107。。。im right handed。。。multiple tests on different days, and I also follow the instructions strictly...

That small diagram is just to indicate that the cuff fits arms from 9-17 inches in circumference. The one on the right shows the placement.
